  3. Weekly Report - 30/05/2012 Week was good, but not too productive due to having to study for finals. I discovered that when your spot, on the bench press, helps unrack the weight the set is about a million times easier. So I'm definitely increasing the weight tomorrow. I'm back up to 75kg weight range, just from eating a lot more than I usually do. It's starting to seem like it's harder to gain weight than to lose it. Haven't attempted a handstand against the wall yet, have been too focused on my finals. And the book I'm reading has close to 1000pages, plus being really big, therefore I doubt I'll be able to finish it in the next 2 weeks. We can hope though! Fitness and Health: (1) Bench stayed the same. Going to increase by 2.5kg tomorrow though. (2) Increased by 1kg. So now I'm up by 0.2kg from my original weight. (3) Haven't attempted a handstand yet. I'll try to focus on that this week. (4) Paleo is starting to fail, however I'm going shopping tomorrow and will try to buy better. Life: (5) This next book is a freaking monster. I doubt I'll be able to finish it in 2 weeks, but I'll try my best. Thanks for reading, good luck with the last 2 weeks!
  4. Nah man, I'm studying at Griffith. Yea brisbane! Didn't know there were this many of us on here.
  5. Awesome challenge! My friend has been asking me questions about fitness lately, and he just signed up for a gym. Guess who I'll be turning into a fitness guru?
  6. I've finished reading two, decent sized, books since starting this challenge. Onto my third an last one now! Also I have mastered holding a headstand against a wall, which for my is huge since I am not that nimble a person.
  7. Weekly Report - 23/05/2012 These reports are getting later and later into the week, I must be getting lazy. Another great week. Finished my second book 4 days ahead of schedule (was an AWESOME read), still benching the same amount but hopefully next week it will go up by another 2.5kg. Weight is staying around the same mark, however I believe I'm losing fat and gaining muscle so there's that. Guess I'm going to have to eat a lot more if I want to bulk up. Still eating most of my meals paleo, and hopefully by next week I'll be able to complete a handstand against a wall! Fitness and Health: (1) Bench stayed the same. Should be able to increase next Monday though. (2) Weight went down by 0.3kg. This is due to fat loss though, but I'll still be trying to eat as much as possible these next few weeks. (3) Still haven't mastered the handstand against a wall. Hopefully next week will see better results. (4) Still eating most of my meal paleo. Life: (5) 'Beyond the Shadows' by Brent Weeks was a freaking awesome read. If any of you enjoy fantasy books, I'd definitely suggest giving the series a go. I'll be starting my last book, 'Inheritance' by Christopher Paolini, 4 days ahead of schedule. Which is good because it looks like a long read. There's my little update, as always, good luck with your challenges!
  8. Sunday Report - 15/05/2012 (A Day Late ) Very happy with this past week. Finished reading my first book (right on schedule) 'Starting Strength' and now moved onto my second. Bench has gone up 2.5kg and should be increasing another 2.5kg next week. Weight is starting to head up (I think), it's a bit hard to tell though with the difference in water-weight etc. Plus I'm eating a lot more paleo, except for breaky, which I've been having my oatmeal (god I love this stuff)! All in all, a very successful week. Fitness and Health: (1) Increased by 2.5kg. Should be able to increase again next Monday hopefully. (2) Stayed constant. This could be a whole bunch of other reasons. Keeping hopeful though! (3) Can now hold a freelance headstand! Next step is to try a handstand against the wall. (4) Eating about 70% paleo. Happy with this amount and should be able to keep it up. Life: (5) Finished 'Starting Strength' and now I'm onto 'Beyond the Shadows' by Brent Weeks! Gonna go through this book a lot faster as it's really drawn me in already. Hope your weeks have been just as awesome!
  9. My kick-start was to be finish 1/2 of 'Starting Strength' by Mark Rippetoe. I managed to finish the squat section and move on to the press (1/4 done). Not as fast as I should be reading, but this week I'll kick it into gear and try to finish the book so I can move on to 'Beyond the Shadows' by Brent Weeks next week!
  10. Haha love the "mindfulness" and "lock-picking" attributes. Good luck on your epic challenge. Keep us updated on how you're doing with it all
  11. Sunday Report - 06/05/2012 Last week has been a pretty good success overall. I've followed through with most of my goals. The only problem one would be the paleo eating. I've only really been eating a paleo dinner every night. I need to focus on this goal this week. Fitness and Health: (1) I've increased my bench by 2.5kg this week, so on the road to hitting that 10kg increase (55kg-65kg) by the end of the challenge. (2) Down by 0.5kg (3) I'm now able to hold a headstand against a wall for 10 or so seconds. I'll be moving on to holding a headstand without the wall now. (4) Like I said, I haven't been eating as much paleo food as I would like to have. This week needs to see a change to this. Life: (5) Starting Strength is taking longer than I though it would be. I'm about 1/4 of the way through (when I should be about 1/2 way). Just need to read a lot more this week. So by the next report I hopefully will have increased my bench by another 2.5kg, put on 1kg of bodyweight, be able to hold a headstand away from a wall, and by finished reading Starting Strength. Wish me luck!
  12. Finished the squat section and moving on to the press. Not as fast as I should be going, but this week I'll kick it into gear and try to finish the book so I can move on to 'Beyond the Shadows' by Brent Weeks!
  13. Loving the way this is being set out. Definitely subscribing to this thread. Nice goals by the way, will be rooting for you! FUS RO DAH!
  14. I've always done burpees with a push-up as well, just was the way I was taught to do them.
