Status updates, woohoo! Goals: 1. Go to gym 5x/week: Went to gym 3x, worked out at home 1x. B- 2. Diet - slo-carb diet, decided to ditch the slo-carb for full on paleo after two days, did about 80-90% paleo. B+ 3. Figure out workout plan - Started SL5x5 on Wednesday, planning on running it through May. A Have corresponded a couple of times with Steve re: meeting up in DC (totally creeping) A+ Maintenance for the long haul - My goal is six pack by May 26 (wedding), So i am following in in Saint's path and am taking weekly pictures of myself (not quite ready to share them with the frenzied masses)

Did you start with just the bar and work your way up? I am shooting for a six month constant growth. Strangely sore in my shins today
-
the dailyburn workout adds a few ancillary exercises (for workout A it is push ups and reverse crunches) did it all, feeling good!
-
will definitely try a couple sets tomorrow when i go back for workout A. thanks
-
So i started SL5x5 on workout B yesterday. Starting with just the bar (olympic) except deadlift which i did starting at 95 lbs. Threw in as many pull ups as I had in me (1x4) at the end and a minute of plank. I am a little concerned about overhead press because i have some shoulder issues but no pain today! going to try some yoga tonight to keep it all limber. aside, the damn it feels good to be a lannister is kind of awesome
-
So I am going to use dailyburn's SL5x5 workout to track my progress!
-
Ah yoga, yet another of those things that has fallen to the wayside. My fiancee is a certified yoga instructor, although not teaching and we were doing yoga 3-4x week last year. Definitely a good idea, will check the gym schedule. Do you think a bootcamp type exercise class would be too much?
-
I am contemplating trying SL5x5 MWF and looking for a good option for 2 other days of the week
-
very interested in the SL5x5 regimen, but really want to be hitting the gym 5x a week, any thoughts on what I can do on my off days that won't negatively impact any strength gains?

215 days to six pack
jssiegel replied to jssiegel's topic in Rebel Introductions and the Respawn Point
Sporadic gym, but getting better, two weeks ago went 4 times, last week was 2 and a half. Had been doing well staying away from the complex carbs, went a wedding this weekend and that kind of got shot to shit. Today was 90% good, had some cheese on a salad at lunch but working on phasing out the dairy. Biggest issue now is putting together a good workout plan so I can stick to it! -
pre-emptively added myself to the google doc, looking for some inspiration to keep up for a full six weeks, usually lose focus at about a month
-
Goals: 1. Exercise (at gym) 5 days a week 2. Follow 4HB slow carb diet (bye bye cheese) 3. Get back to 10 pull ups A. Help Steve get to know DC (promise i am not a creeper)
