  1. Day 3 summary! Measurements: 187lbsScale bf% 45.5 1. SCORE 1450 HIT POINTS PER CIE'TH Yesterday was a not eating very much kind of day. I did go to bed earlier than normal, and since I was a little peckish before bed and hadn't eaten all that much, scarfed down the end of a packet of smoked salmon I had to use up, covered in lemon juice. Cue restful sleep! Third Cie'th destroyed with 1,124HP. Not that much, but lazy day, all I did was go out for supplies. Plus I've got a busy weekend at work starting tomorrow with an early morning uni tutorial on Saturday and then work until god knows when o'clock at night so I'm prepared for that to be a high-consumption kinda day. Preparation! Cie'th destroyed!!! COOK ALL THE FOODS Mustard stuffed chicken! This was completely lovely. READ THE DATALOG - BOSS BATTLE PREP! Not yet. DATALOGS STUDIED: 0%0% BONUS: YOGA HABIT PRACTICE Done before bed and when I got up (woke up at 10am, wow!!). Was a bit stiff this morning so added in hands above head pose / forward bend with knees bent and hands on back of calves pose / downward dog / plank / downward dog / forward bend with knees bent and hands on back of calves pose / hands above head pose / mountain. PS: obtain yoga dictionary. I'm not expecting to do this every day, but I felt better for it. As long as I remember to keep doing placeholder mountain pose I can make a habit of it. Woot!
  2. I need to relax (see above). I'm adding a no-stat-points placeholder habit building exercise... Too much stress in my life, and too much physical tension from sitting at a desk for long periods of time studying. Update #48975430767836 Mountain pose every day when I get up and before bed. Yes, that easy. I want to get a habit in place that I can build on later
  3. Would you believe it, I have all these things, and cooking is a massive part of my current challenge. So, thanks! And no, you can't have enough garlic. Ever.
  4. Random thought: I'm loving this constant repetition of "Winter is coming" because here, winter is leaving. So every time I read "Winter is coming" I laugh and look at the flowers growing outside. /random
  5. I don't know if this exists, because I get a lot of my food stuff from the blog, but I keep looking for my NF cookbook, and I cannot find it anywhere
  6. I haven't done this yet, but... YES!! (started lifting last year and loved it, on hold for various reasons, somewhat jealous)
  7. Well, if being realistic isn't a constraint here, I would also add lightweight VR headsets to #7... and a NF restaurant.

Depends on how you fry it. I have a recipe I use often that involves coating skinless chicken breasts with spices and frying it in a small amount of olive oil that's actually pretty healthy. I can link to the recipe if you like.

Oh hey! I forgot to check my comments here, yes that would be lovely, thankyou :) I'm terrible at frying anything but steak, I need the practice!

  9. Oh, this post-cupboard expedition will be amazing, I can't wait to see more pictures. That is a truly beautiful area that you live in! I can only imagine what the view is like from your mountain. And your dragon horse is beautiful, so strong, and yes very very hairy!! I'm in Lanarkshire!! Glasgow, specifically. So, the greater Lanarkshire area. I highly recommend the Campsies, if you can get up there via a car (or public transport, but I'm not sure how that goes). I believe there's some mountainous walks that you can do via a train to Lennoxtown. I can see the Campsies from here, in fact, that's what I thought of when I saw your photo of Pen Y Fal. I'll dig out some other ideas since I'm up here anyway PS: If you can get to Falkirk, check out the Kelpies... beautiful, enormous metal horses. And loads of walking to be done, you can go via the Forth & Clyde Canal route from Falkirk High (train from Glasgow Queen St).
  10. First stupid question: is this any walking or extra walking? I track my extra but not my commute, shopping etc. Don't want to end up cheating by tracking every time I get off my lazy arse
  11. Mustard-stuffed chicken is in the oven! I got a brilliant haul of meat today, about half price. Came home with a bag of lamb chops, prawns big and small, beef fillet, salmon, all half off or cheaper. Way more than I could afford, but given that I regularly don't get paid when I'm supposed to be (and before you ask, no, I'm not self-employed), I want to have a freezer full of food because I'm sick and tired of starving on a regular basis (no, this isn't even remotely pissing me off). Really hope this works. I don't see how it couldn't though, if I've got a freezer full of meat and a cupboard full of spices, I can pretty much feed myself any time. Right? Edit: The Foods were awesome Update: Photo gallery for this challenge (foods, stats, stuff)
  12. Duh... I was still looking for your old username, even though you've been posting in my thread! *headslap* I fully support the simplifying everything strategy. After I completely bottled my first challenge and stopped posting for a few weeks, I came back with an unchallenge (Chris-Tien Jinn's idea, and a very good one!). It made the world of difference. I bet this goes great for you Subbed
  13. Oh no I'm sorry to hear you've had bad news. It does sound like you've got a plan though, I take my hat off to you for that! Keep fighting! And just think, in 13 days... no more exam
  14. I don't know where else to put this .gif
  15. *emerges from kitchen* Unchallenge! I apologise for my tardiness, you have been having quite the fabulous time so far! Now, I don't know squat about pole, but I checked out your photos and the before / after versions and I love the difference you can see in them, it's like you look more relaxed and at ease with what you're doing. I loved your choreography, and it's just beautiful to see how you're weaving all these things together and enjoying them so much. Since I've gone totally hardass on myself this challenge, this is where I'm hanging my hammock as a place to chill *hangs hammock* because I can feel the relaxed awesomeness radiating out of your thread *sips iced tea* Oh, and, w00t on the push up PR!!!
  16. Hey, figured I should add the list of recipes I've put in my challenge since they're, well, awesome. I haven't come up with any recipes of my own here, but dig in nonetheless Spicy grilled lamb skewers! 17. These custom weapons are great! I highly recommend them!! I think that vodka salmon is my Ultima Weapon for the purposes of this challenge... since I randomly stopped drinking at the start of the year I have to find something to do with the booze in my house... I can't believe I've got a cooking thread going, this is ridiculous. Throw some tomatoes on it! Thanks Vanille! (I know you're not Vanille, but... Saboteurs) Mustard stuffed chicken is happening today Aaaaand I'm turning into one of those people who post pictures of their dinner on the internet
  18. Day 2 summary! Measurements: 188.2lbsScale bf% 46.1 1. SCORE 1450 HIT POINTS PER CIE'TH So, I knocked out the second Cie'th yesterday with 1,267 HP. This doesn't sound like much but I'm trying to focus on my Protein Attack, which does more damage. I used to use Carb Attack during a night at work using disposable weapons like bread rolls, but figured that if I hit the Cie'th with a tasty Baked Chicken Breast Attack before going out, and incapacitate it with a 145 cal 20g protein drink during work as a snack, that would keep it quiet until I could finish it off at home with a Lamb Kebab Attack. It worked! I wasn't nearly as hungry as I usually am, and did more damage than I would have usually done. Result! CIE'TH DESTROYED! COOK ALL THE FOODS Spicy grilled lamb skewers! These were a resounding success. I marinated them around lunchtime and left them in the fridge for around 12 hours until I got home. Grilled for just under 18 minutes, and threw them on a babyleaf / rocket / spinach / green bell pepper / mint / parsley / lime juice / salt / pepper salad. Delicious!! And very easy to do. Despite what the recipe says, I put the lamb on the skewers (soaked in hot water for 10 minutes) before marinating them and they were fine. The skewers didn't catch fire in the grill. I tried cooking them for the recommended 10-12 minutes but they were still pink on the inside, so took a bit longer. Behold!! READ THE DATALOG - BOSS BATTLE PREP! Yeah, not really. Because life. I completely reserve the right to hit part 2 of this challenge full on at the beginning, complete it, come out of that with a recipe book full of awesome stuff, and focus entirely on this part towards the end. I will be chipping away at it a bit later today though, because I'm off work for 2 days. I will get there. I need my fortisol for the boss battle, I'm not forgetting that!!! On a side note here, I received a really great email from my maths tutor, who I'd asked for advice about my courses for next year. He's given me some really good guidance about my plans for what to study next (I don't have as much maths as I need / want on my standard degree pathway) and he's referred me to some of the staff who will be able to help me sort out my course choices, because my registration deadline for next year is in 8 days. 21. ^^^ All these things. ALL THE THINGS. My hob pretty much has 2 settings: off and CREMATED. So I've started out cooking everything in the oven anyway! Honey and balsamic marinade... I have both those things. I will try it! Gonna try and be brave with the cooked tomatoes thing as well. I've felt like that all my life about them... the cauliflower thing is because I always thought it looked like brains, and it never appealed to me enough to get over it I think the texture thing is because I don't like not knowing what I'm going to find in my food... fear of eating the unknown?
  22. Sorry, no can do tomatoes... I'm hoping one day I wake up and like them, because I don't mind tomato-based dishes! So I like them in theory, but in practice, the texture just weirds me out for some reason. I'm not overly picky, it's just a few things. Tomatoes, soup, cauliflower I think. Still trying the peppers idea though! Mini peppers stuffed with mozarella, herbs and balsamic vinegar... ideas are taking shape
  23. I like the weekly thing you're doing, so much so, I think I'll adopt it! I'll be following along and can't wait to watch you getting stronger over this challenge
  24. You know, I can see the appeal of this, but... I hate tomatoes! Though now I'm questioning whether I could substitute in peppers... bell peppers, sweet pointed peppers... mini peppers? I could eat those ALL DAY. I shall try it. Thankyou for the idea! Thanks! I enjoyed writing the challenge too Some creative licence was used but I don't mind! That sounds beautiful! I tried a similar thing with marinating chicken in soy sauce, olive oil, herbs spices etc (can't really remember what was in it) and just throwing it straight in the oven minus the marinade, 12 hours later. I am trying this as well And I never considered that vinegar + hard boiled eggs would work. Thanks!
  25. I like that! I'll try it next time we've got bacon... Could be a nice alternative to a bacon sandwich!
