  2. Very excited for you. My advice would be to eat good and drink plenty of water. At first just try and stay active do your walks maybe jogt a little here and there during your walks. I wouldn't be concerned with routines and ect. For at least a couple of months. Just walking mixed with jogging eating right and drinking lots of water will put you on the right track. Then I would worry about routines. We are hunter gathers just get out and walk and move daily like our bodies are made for. Then worry about the other stuff later. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. When in the army we did Tim's of push-ups. There is so many variations of sets you can do to increase your amount of push-ups done consecutively. Just don't run to failure all the time. One is the pyramid sets. It's when you start at a number of push-ups and work your way down. Example would be start at 15 next you do 14 then 13 ,12,11 ect until you get to 1. You get the idea. We used to do pyramids and sets of 25. I still do different push-up routines now. Then take a break for a day or so. I would pick one day of the week to test where your rep max is. I think you will be surprised how fast you can rip out 100 push-ups doing the pyramid and sets of 25. Hope this helps Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Iron bone is somewhat dangerous. Like others have stated the long term effects can hinder you cause serious issues in the bones when you get older. Some say if you use the ointment Dit da jow it helps with the healing and allows more blood flow to the trained areas. You can work a rice bag periodically to help strengthen the hands and forearms without in grossing to deeply.. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  6. Experiment with what you learn in club. Take it home and play with the variations of technique. You know what to do just put into play. Like Machete said most of my solo stuff is dummy work and solo drills. Sometimes I just go real slow and feel any small variations in my body that I might want to tweak Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  9. So cool I am now just joining Nerd fitness and am excited to find like minded folks. I am new to the forum but not to yoga. I love yoga and gentle arts. I look forward to discussing sequences and routines. I am recently adding weight training to my workouts but my heart is always in yoga. Look forward to talking!! 10. Agreed Yoga is a strength type program also many other aspects. If your new to it, engage in the yoga and let it help build your strength, core and flexibility. On off days do some easy walking or something until you feel strong enough to handle different exercises on your off days. A solid yoga routine with the right diet can really strengthen and tone the body without much of anything else Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
