  1. Ow, that IS annoying! And I completely understand the worry. Looks like they both just want to put their head in the sand and hope everything bad goes away, while you're working your ass off to make it as okay as possible.
  2. Just curious: why did you sleep outside? The food looks amazing!
  3. We had a jumping rope competition today. I lost, because I don't have any coordination And the ropes where too short. Yes, lets just blame it on the ropes My husband won btw (yes he's taller than me, shut up), the boys are now determined to practice even harder so they can beat him I made a bundt cake as is tradition around Easter (in the Netherlands at least, I have no idea about the rest of the world). And it turned out AMAZING. I used this recipe. Yesterday I texted a bit with my SIL. As you might remember: she has a severe depression. It has been going on for nearly 2 years. She's been admitted in a facility where she got electroshock therapy and 'normal' talk therapy. With corona the electroshock therapy has been stopped before it should, she can't have visitors or leave the terrain to go on a walk (she was allowed to do so before). So she's in a real bad place The worst thing is, there is nothing anyone can do to help her. We're going to make a care package, and I'll make sure to text her once in a while (I can't phone her, because she has real bad hearing). It just sucks
  4. I arranged to have our groceries delivered every week. There are lots of stores that offer that now (ah, jumbo, picnic etc.). Might be worth looking into. Same here. This too shall pass ❤️
  5. Haha, that recipe would fail completely as I don't understant the weird american mesurements at al But yeah, scaling recipes is something I do with the boys. I also let them measure stuff and such. They love it
  6. Today was a really good day. The boys really love to do ringfit, but I want them to start school at 9 am. So they made an effort this morning to start really early and get a workout in. Result: two really tame boys with excellent focus I helped the boys with their schoolwork all morning and in the early afternoon. It wasn't too hard today. Peter had some dificult math problems (like 238x34) and I made it a game where I tried to calculate it by heart and he used a step by step plan to see if I was right (spoiler: I had about half of them right). He finds math really easy, and so its hard for him to stay focussed and not get bored. I think this helped him a lot. Cory's math today was about shapes. He made a square and a rectangle out of crayons (by placing the crayons in those shapes). That wasn't too hard to help with I also did a ringfit workout today. It was only 40 minutes and I was beat afterwards. But it felt good. I think I'll try to do this 3 times a week to get my strength and stamina back to where they were.
  7. They have. I can email them or chat with them using microsoft Teams. It's good to have them help when I need them to. Today was about the difference between a square and a rectangle. I could manage that one
  8. Sending you a big hug Doing this too.
  9. Officially you should quarantine yourself for 2 weeks after not having symptoms anymore. But going outside is healthy too. I think if you just stay away from other people you'll be okay I really struggle with this now. Helping the kids with their school work takes most of the day. But 15 minutes doesn't sound too bad. What do you clean? Is it like running around tidying up? Or do you get your rags and soap out and start making everything shiny? That's so sweet! And belated happy birthday to you!
  10. I'm having a lot of respect for teachers. I only have two kids to help with school work, and it's draining me. They behave perfectly, and they enjoy most of the work. Peter doesn't need much help (only a reminder to focus on his own work on occasion). Cory needs a bit more help, but he rewards me with lots of cuddles while we work And still: I'm beat... I needed some groceries today, and my husband is back to work (he works at the hospital. Luckily far away from the patients). So I needed to bring the boys with me. I just put Cory in the shopping cart. He's 7 and with his 1.25 meters way too big to fit in the kids seat, so he got to keep the groceries company. And I instructed Peter to hold the card at all times. Luckily the clerk at the supermarket allowed us to enter this way (she did address us when we tried to enter to make sure I would keep the kids close). Afterwards we went to the playground close to the supermarket and they got to let go of some of their energy.
  11. I'm glad! I hope the doctor can help him ❤️
  12. The weather was so nice this weekend! The boys played outside a lot. I wanted to go on a walk yesterday, but after cleaning the kitchen was dead tired. So I walked a bit today. To the supermarket and back. It made me really tired, but it was nice. We played some d&d this morning. Peter (9yo) wanted to be the dm, so the whole party died 🤣. After that my husband gave him sone dm lessons. We also got a dinosour addes to our party which we named "bambi". We had fun We skyped my mom this evening so she could read to the boys. I don't want her to come over, because she and my dad are in the risk group for covid-19. So she gets her grand-son fix this way
  13. Smart. It can start with normal cold symptoms. I didn't cough my lungs out until after the fever broke...
  14. I remember this vaguely. Now I'm going to have this problem too... Thanks Tank 😩 That IS rude! I hope the migraine leaves soon ❤️
  15. Love the goals! As for the bujo: I have one too and it looks different almost every week. T Right now I'm so busy helping the boys with school and stuff that I'm not using it as much. Mostly just for a weekly menu and grocery lists. It's whatever you want/need it to be. That's what I love about it.
  16. We're pretty close to Noord Brabant. One of my husband's co-workers is from there and we're suspecting that we have him to thank for getting sick... There are so many empty shelves in the supermarket (ah) here. It's really weird walking around there. The first day everyone had to stay home they were out of bread too... None existent. I felt sick again yesterday evening and still felt drained today, so I did only the things that were absolutely necesary. Looking forward to it!
  17. You can remove the squats from your arsenal. There are plenty of other leg exercises that don't put pressure on your knees I particularly like the one where you put the ring between your legs and press ftfy
  18. Toilet paper is still mostly sold out here too. As is soap. And eggs
  19. Weird right? A lot of people have too much time on their hands and start baking I think. At least that's what my mom and sister are doing I, on the other hand have less time because I need to be a teacher for my boys...
  20. I walked twice yesterday! Just a small distance (700 meters), but it left me feeling really tired. So I guess that was a good workout. Today I walked a bit further and caught some pokemon with my boys. Doing groceries is weird now. There are only a certain number of people allowed in the store, so I can't bring the boys. But I'm having most of the groceries delivered, which feels weird, because the grocery store is only 400 meters from my home...
  21. This is where the real challenge lies You're on the other side of the world. I think we're okay regarding distance...
  22. True! It's how I got back to exersising after giving birth, and I think it'll do me a lot of good now. Probably. I'm not eligable for testing, but I had all the sympthoms. And I had the flu shot in november, so chances that it was just the flu are slim.
