  1. Saturday I worked on my goals today and finished the first step of Whizzkid! Next step: Technical foundation - Play a game for 2 hours straight while focused - Reach level 3 of programming - Own for at least 3000 simoleans of electronics. I'm pretty sure I've got that covered 😇 I looked up what level 3 of programming in the sims looks like. According to Carl's Sims guide it's this: So I need to learn how to create a plugin and how to mod a game. Modding the sims should be fairly easy, so I'll dive into that And no I'm not going to hack the Lothario Trust Fund I did 3 assignment of the Advent of Code. It was fun, so thanks for recommending @Waanie! I also worked on my fitness aspiration: The boys love playing ringfit too, so they were waiting their turn while I worked out. My progress so far: I still need 4 more hours of training. I think I should add dance workouts to the mix (Just Dance on the switch). I want to have this done before the end of the week. That's doable, right?
  2. Friday Today I just wanted to crawl away and not deal with the outside world. So I did only wat was absolutely necessary and hid inside my sims game the rest of the time. A special loveday, I mean valentines day screenshot Someone made a bunkbed mod for the sims. Now I could make a more accurate simulation of my son's rooms Speaking about simulations: in the evening William and I watched "Ready player one". I loved the book, and the movie didn't disappoint

I don't have a car (or a drivers licence) so I had to go through the rain multiple times yesterday. Although it's not fun, a raincoat and a cap kept me dry enough. (The cap keeps the rain out of my face) So yeah, use protection
  4. Maybe, but for now I'll stick to home workouts.
  5. Speak for yourself. Good thing we have you to whip us back in shape
  6. Thanks! I just got that one from the library, haven't started reading it yet, but now I sure will
  7. Thursday Like I said, I had an appointment at a local gym today (^my actual face during the workout) It was a circuit with hydraulic equipment that got heavier the faster you moved it. I was a bit late, so I rode my bike really fast to the gym (it was a 10 min ride) (^not my actual face during the bike ride, because it was raining cats and dogs. And I don't wear a helmet, and I have women's bike) It took some willpower to come there. While I was there I was very, very tense. My sim felt the same at the gym: (Stranger Danger - Einzelgängers don't like to be surrounded by strangers. Who knows what they're capable off?) And I took my feelings out on the gym equipment. Working out hard, plus being tense from being in a strange environment surrounded by strangers made my heart rate go through the roof. We had to check our heart rate every 15 or so minutes and the instructor looked a bit shocked when I told her mine was 180 I am glad I did it though. I felt like I had to prove to myself that I could do it. And now I have one goal ticked off (Train for 8 hours 3/8 || Train at a gym DONE) When I came home I took some time to myself, to let myself calm down. I browsed the forums and played some sims And I took a loooooong, hot shower I found some custom content for the sims that allowed me to finish the attic in my self-sim's home: The clothes line isn't exactly what I wanted, but it's close enough. And the sowing machine acts as a computer, but it sure looks cool I picked up the boys from school. Peter got a haircut (Cory wants his hair to grow as long as Rapunzel, so he doesn't get hair cuts) And then it was time for their swimming lessons again Now I'm going to watch some Sabrina on Netflix. Good night!
  8. That, and the fact that Def said she's easy
  9. I agree with Darkfoxx But also: Sometimes my husband gets in a really foul mood and starts being angry with everyone. I love him totally, but I don't care for it. So I let him rage a little and then I tell him to take a breath. I ask him what is wrong and what I can do to help calm him down. At first he shakes it off and tells me nothing is wrong, I insist and he starts talking about everything that's bothering him. Just listening to him and letting him know I understand him helps. Sometimes I can offer practical help like picking up some tasks from his list, or doing something with the kids so he has his hands free. Talking, and especially listening are soooo important when stuff like this happens. Try to stay calm yourself during this talk. And if you can put words to what you're feeling and why. For example: "I feel scared/frustrated/angry when you start yelling like that, please stop". Or "I'm really overwhelmed right now, you being all angry isn't helping me." Words are powerful, use them I'm guessing @Tanktimus the Encourager has even better advise for you
  10. That place looks gorgeous! So pretty ❤️
  11. Ich liebe dich auch ❤️ This reminded me of a song from Dutch comedian: One rymes "I love you", for example a Canadian Someone else says "Je t'aime", for example a Canadian A Canadian sings the way he (funny wordplay with the city Quebec and the word 'talks') "Ich liebe dich" is a German person who has visited Canada
  12. Wednesday My husband had saved up so many extra hours last year that he can take every Wednesday off this year AND have plenty of vacation days left to actually go on vacation. So he was home today and tried to help me solve a Euler problem. But first, I had to clean the rest of the house Then I made coffee And we went at it. Programming I mean. Because couples that program together, stay together, right? I got really frustrated that I couldn't figure it out, even with William's help. But luckily I got to drive the boys to their gym practice Afterwards I was drained, so I played some sims while the boys played with their lego's This is actually a pretty accurate presentation on how they play. Peter reads the instructions and Cory just starts building Then it was time for bath and bed for the boys And I spent the evening playing the sims Results until now: (5 hours of gaming complete, 3/5 hours of programming complete)
  13. I love hunting down recipes for the week and making lists! What does help is that I have a list of groceries that I need almost every week (things like bread and apples) so that I only have to think about dinners. That's what second opinions are for. It will be okay ((hugs))

After your amazing advise on my thread I just have to follow yours. Love the goals, nice and simple
  15. Haha, those are just the sims' live aspirations No app Thanks for sharing! Are there any books/websites you would recommend? That's definitly something to think about I've got stuck working on the third project (prime numbers), so I'll definitely try those sites!
  16. I just found out you can have friends on project Euler. So if any nerds want to join me there, this is my key: 1628140_EwiZZOjQR3iPjL8XH5Sf9UX9sCxBL7K7
  17. I was looking for you on the new forums, but I finally found you
  18. A one tine thing. And after these goals new ones will be unlocked I wish I had 10 hours a day to spent behind my computer... That makes a lot more sense Start playing again! It's the best game ever
  19. No, the dance classes have moved to the days my boys have swimming lessons and I can't do both.
  20. I do this on occasion. And leaving my keys in my bike
  21. Tuesday I decided to add a lifegoal: whizzkid . Translation: 1) One with the program Practice programming for 5 hours Play 5 hours of video games 2) Technically grounded(?) 3) Computer nerd 4) Whizzkid I want to learn Python. I finally got through a basic training video and now I'm practicing it by solving Euler problems. I did the first two problems already today! I had a bit of help from my husband, who knows some Python. Today I cleaned the 1st floor of the house Played sims and practiced programming Progress Peter had to go to social skill class. And since it's to far away to drive back home while he's there, Cory and I wait there for an hour. I brought the Switch so Cory could play mario party and I watched some YouTube When we got home I cooked dinner, which we ate together And then I put the boys to bed Now it's time for some ringfit! I also made an appointment at a local gym for next Thursday, so I will get the "workout in a gym" done! I think it's an old ladies gym from the looks of it, but it's the closest one I could find
  22. LOL that's how I often play Last time we got attacked by a creature that resembled a cat. So I used minor illusion to create a red, moving dot on the ground to distract it. It worked Happy birthday @Bean Sidhe
  23. Thanks Ringfit is an addictive way to get your exersise in. My husband didn't like it though. He tried the first level and didn't squat deep and long enough, so the game tried to correct him (in a friendly way) and his conclusion was that the game was faulty I don't know dance central, but I do love just dance
