  1. My roommates and I have been playing a really fun game called 'Splendor'. It's easy to learn and generally goes pretty fast.
  2. My most recent random thought/thing I've decided I want to do is a freakin' pullup. I doubt I've done one since I was 12 and had to do that stupid Presidential fitness test, but dammit, I want to do a pull up. I doubt this is something I will accomplish with this 6 week challenge, since I'm just focusing on building good habits and keeping to a fairly regular workout schedule, but maybe this can be a goal for the next challenge.
  3. I used it for a little while and found it to be more difficult than I had energy for. But I'm going to give it a try again and hopefully it will be motivating for the 6 week challenge.
  4. Jealous! I really would love to do that at some point. Let us know how it goes!
  5. First week was a little meh. Our weather has been extra crappy and allergies are kicking my tail, so the energy level has been really low. I've been trying to at least keep my eating habits and nutrition good, but I have missed a couple workouts. Planning to make up one tonight after work. I've also been separated from my spouse because of work, but we'll be reunited next week, so I think that will do wonders for my mood, which in turn affects my energy levels. She's also quite fit and is a good motivator, so it's been tough being separated now for almost two months. I have positive thoughts about the next five weeks, but trying not to be overwhelmed, so just taking it a day at a time!
  6. Has anyone been successful in finding an inexpensive or alternate item to use for a plyo box? I'm having a really hard time validating the prices on some of these individual boxes, let alone the highway robbery for sets with varying heights. I'm trying not to be cheap, but dayum. I'm also not handy, as much as I love the idea of making them. I think I own a hammer, but that's about it. I would probably cut off a finger if I tried to cut a piece of wood. So thoughts or ideas? Or just tell me to stop being cheap. I'm okay with that as an answer too. -Jillianajones
  7. Heck yes! My secret boyfriend Captain Mal will be there, so I will be cowering somewhere in a corner too scared to talk to him but worshiping from afar..
  8. Future wannabe assassin reporting. I am working on strength and stamina right now. Desperately in need of working on the upper body strength, because my arms are about as strong as wet spaghetti. I have aspirations to do some extremely basic parkour sometime in the future, but I fear it would just end up looking like Michael Scott doing parkour on 'The Office'.
  9. Greetings, humans. This is my first challenge and I'm nervous/excited. I have VERY slowly lost about 40 lbs since 2012, mostly through changing eating habits and working out very occasionally. My main goal is fitness and feeling comfortable with myself and my body. I have struggled with body image issues for most of my adult life. Even in the heat of Texas summers, I won't wear shorts because I fear I am being judged by others. I have made strides to get to a level of slight comfortability, but I still have a ways to go. My two main end goals are to get to around 155, or at least be down to a size 6/8 in clothing, and be able to fully jog a 5K. I also have a loftier goal of being able to join the assassins guild and do some of the crazy fun activities that involve running and jumping and climbing on things. My three goals for my first 6 week challenge: 1) Nutrition: watch my portions and minimize the sweets 2) Walking: 7500 steps per day and 10,000 two-three days per week 3) Weight: 0.75-1 lb loss per week to get to 170-172 by the end of the 6 week period I welcome feedback and accountabilibuddies. I am notoriously bad about keeping to goals, because chocolate and videogames are much more appealing than drinking water and doing physical activity. Maybe a successful 6 week challenge can be a turning point for me. Best of luck, everyone! -Jillianajones
