  1. HAAAAAIIIIIIII I already miss you so very much! You're gonna kick ass on this challenge!
  2. I'm really excited! We'll be there until Friday, the 13th.
  3. Hi ladies! I think someone already mentioned men's boxer briefs, but these are the ones I wear: http://www.target.com/p/jky-by-jockey-men-s-1pk-modern-sport-boxer-briefs-assorted-colors/-/A-17427552#prodSlot=_1_5 They are FANTASTIC! I do a lot of dynamic movements (olympic weightlifting) when I train, so I needed something that would stay up on my waist and not give me a wedgie. I looked high and low for women's boxer briefs that go down the thigh, but they were all too short. They would end up riding up into the crease between my leg and torso and drove me bonkers. These don't move at all. Since I started working out in my garage lately, I actually wear these without pants over them sometimes.
  4. So, I'm going to New York on Nov. 7, and y'all are going to Boston? ಠ_à²
  5. Next time for sure! Sometimes I am MIA for long periods of time, but there are some rebels who know how to get a hold of me to remind me where my roots lie. You can do it now!
  6. Son of a biscuit! I missed this one. Sorry guys!
  7. YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!! So how much are you going to charge me to be my personal masseuse at nationals?!
  8. I was trying to figure out what was going on with her grip. Could it also be that her hands are too narrow on the bar? I just can't seem to figure it out from the side angle. You are WAY more qualified than I am to give advice...
  9. HAI! I don't have time at the moment to catch up on all your awesomeness, but I'm definitely following now. I hope all goes well!
  10. I AM HERE TO FOLLOW YOUR AWESOMENESS!!! Countdown to hugs: ~16 days! Oh, and I have to tell you something about the accommodations, but I'll facebook message you.
  11. Checking in to follow for barbell goodness. I honestly had no idea there was a kettlebell world championships, but GO YOU! I am by far no expert, but I can assist with weightlifting critique and/or questions you may have. Best of luck on your challenge!
  12. I hope they work out as well for you as they have for me. The owner of the company is a top-notch guy and they plant a tree for every pair sold. Also, there was talk about how to put on knee sleeves earlier, and the video that was used as an example is too much work for me. Here's what I do:
  13. Well, I suppose I should wrap this up... 1. Follow the RP Strength cutting diet Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh no. 2. Qualify for Nationals I DID IT!!! WOOT WOOT! 3. Finish classes for the semester I've finished all my classwork and take my last test on Saturday. Really procrastinated this semester, but got it all (almost) done! AND HEY LOOK! I finished a challenge! WHAAAAT?!!?! I mean, 2/3 isn't GREAT, but it's not bad either...
  14. THANK YOU ALL!!!! I love my nerds! You really should! I hope I can inspire people to complete. There really is no feeling like it in the world.
  15. I can't even pretend to know anything about USAPL regulations, but it seems like a 7mm knee sleeve is a 7mm knee sleeve is a 7mm knee sleeve. I suppose they want to make money by people paying to be "approved" but it seems like a joke to me.
  16. Well, entries are closed for nationals and the start list has been posted. http://www.teamusa.org/USA-Weightlifting/Events/2015/August/13/National-Championships I made the A session! Looks like I'll be lifting Sunday at 3:30, as long as the schedule doesn't change. I'll be sure to update you guys with the live feed information when they release it. The best part of the trip to Dallas? I GET TO MEET SOME OF MY NERDS! I'm so excited!!!
  17. You know what's funny? They switched to metric because people were complaining about the standard measurements! If you can figure it out, they are worth getting. GOOD LUCK!!
  18. HEY GUYS!!! So, since I qualified for the USA Weightlifting Senior Nationals, I will be in Dallas August 13 - 17. I'm getting help from a few locals to set up a nerd fitness meetup on Friday, August 14. The date is set, but the plans haven't been arranged yet. I started an event on facebook, but I can't link to it from work... I'll update later with the link if anyone is interested. If you are close enough to come out, please do! I can't wait to finally meet my nerds IRL!
  19. I just want to bust in here and let you all know that... a) I have 19" calves, so I do believe I own all of you, and 2. I have these: Tree Trunx Knee Sleeves and they are amazing. I wore rehbands for about 1.5 years and they stunk like something died in them. My tree trunx sleeves have no smell and they cost half as much. Oh, and they sell them in PAIRS! What a concept, eh rehband? I don't have knee problems, but they get sore if I do my heavy training without them.
  20. WOOT! I competed yesterday in a last chance qualifier meet for the USA Weightlifting Senior National Championships (Dallas, TX 8/14-16) and I finally got my total!!! I had to total 205kg, which I did with a 92kg/202lb snatch and a 113/248 clean and jerk. Here is a video of all my lifts from the meet: WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT!
  21. I DID IT! I DID IT! I DID IT!!! I waited until the very last day because I am the QUEEN of procrastination, but I DID IT! I qualified for nationals!!! Snatched 92kg/202lb and clean and jerked 113/248 for my 205 total! I also took attempts at 95/209 and 115/253, and both were REALLY close. I'm looking forward to hitting those numbers and more at nationals in August. Here is the video of my lifts:
