  1. Been working out off and on for the last week.  It's helped so much with final exam stress

     

  2. Hey y’all, I’m back and I need help. I recently switched jobs and started work at Chick-fil-A, I love Chick-fil-A but obviously don’t want to eat fried foods everyday (and I enjoy fried foods, just not every single day). The last 6 months I’ve haven’t eaten well and haven’t exercised much beyond what my job keeps me doing. I haven’t gained much more than water weight, yet. And it’s taken a toll on my overall health. Packing a lunch really isn’t practical since there is no place to keep it, so I’m stuck buying lunch most of the time. I just looking for advice on how to avoid gaining weight and stay healthy.
  3. I finally got sticks to start dabbling in stick fighting. Not that I plan on fighting anyone any time soon

      Write a paragraph, do a couple of push-ups/squats/pull-ups, etc.

      Work out as a character from your writing. Maybe it'll fire up some new ideas.

  5. I love lifting, except for the next day, when I'm sore.... But I really enjoy lifting, but I also enjoy running. It gives me a sense of freedom, but I'll do weights before running anyday of the week.
  6. Thanks for the encouragement! My job keeps my fairly active, but I can always do more and be better. I actually read these yesterday before I went to the gym And I made myself go for a run this morning. I'm gonna improve my diet and focus on building stamina for exercise.
  7. Things are worst than I thought. I went to the doctor today for my physical, everything was great. Except for my HDL, it was very low. By doctor didn't seem too worried about it, as long as I start exercising again. So I am highly motivated to work out, my doctor said I could take meds or hit the gym. So I’m in the process of developing a work-out program. So I’m only sorta worried about my HDL being low, but as long as I start exercising I should be fine. Wish me luck!

  9. I've been disoriented for the 5 days, not sure why but its really annoying. And I was looking forward to going to the gym today....

      That's what I thought at first, buts it's been 5 days off and on, so I'm not so sure anymore. I'm avoiding going to the doctor, because I'm hoping it's just allergies or a cold or something.

  10. Same thing happens to me, all the time. I plan on the "usual" push-ups, chest presses with the bar (no weights, at first), free hanging on the pull up machine, tricep dips. For the back, I'll do super-mans for the lower back, if you have any suggestions I'd appreciate it.
  11. Okay, guys I’ve done it again. I’m getting back into my routine. Naturally, within the first week my hip starts acting up. I went to the gym on Friday and the last 3 days my hip has been super tight. So down to business, recovery on my hit first. I’m pretty sure it’s just my sciatica acting up, so gentle exercises, rolling and stretching for lower body. Upper body though, thats a whole other story. Since my upper body is weaker, it needs more focus. So my goals for the next couple of weeks. Loosen up my hip. Strengthen my back and upper body. We’ll see how this goes, I’m highly motivated (pain in my hip does that)
  12. Went to the gym today, now I hurt, really really bad. Ugh, why do I go for so long without going to the gym..... :/

  13. Has anyone on here joined the NF Academy? Have you seen any improvement? I'm thinking about purchasing it, and can make the money happen, but I want to make sure before jumping all in.

      I've recently joined and only now have been able to start utilizing it!

      So I originally joined because I've always been a "SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL GAME/COMIC SHOP!" kinda person... but now, I'm SO Glad I did!

  14. Finally went back to the gym, I learned I've lost a lot of my flexibility and stamina.... :/

      Ginger or chamomile tea for your stomach. Lavender essential oil for your headache (2 drop on a handkerchief, sniff periodically).

  20. So yesterday, I got hit with an idea for a story and it has basically consumed me for the last 16 hrs......

      You can do this! Healthy relationship with food is my BIGGEST struggle. I'm still working on it honestly. I'm getting better, but it's slow. I know you can do it. You're beautiful and awesome and you've got this!
