Embers in the Ash
FlameFighter replied to FlameFighter's topic in Rebel Introductions and the Respawn Point
Thank you! -
I completed a 4 week challenge and disappeared because I couldn't keep up with work, a work fitness challenge, and my nerd fitness goals. Sifting through the ashes of backsliding, negative self talk, and bad habits, I have found a few burning embers to blow into a new and raging fire as long as I stay connected to this community, get accountability, and value small nerd fitness steps over a t-shirt and the commendation of my colleagues which comes with that work challenge that i haven't finished in 3 years of trying. I have already started drinking more water and will start anew with Monday's challenge.

Nomad wants to get fit!
FlameFighter replied to Inosch's topic in Rebel Introductions and the Respawn Point
Hi Inosch! How is the exercising going? -
Reporting on the eve of the new challenge! Task 1: Beginner Body Weight Workout 3x week. (A=3, B=2, C=1) B. But I also started dancing a couple of times a week as part of a fitness program at my job, so I am excited to be moving! Task 2: Cut soda. (A=100%, B=80%, C=75%) B. I had 3 sodas in a month, one of which was an order habit at the movies. Will try to be more conscious of what I am asking for. Task 3: Cut back added sugar for coffee and tea. Coffee = creamer only. Tea = 1 tsp of honey. (A=100%, B= 80%, C=75%) B. When I didn't have flavored creamer, I would use half the sugar I used to put in that size cup of coffee. Life Quest: I would like to make a phone call every day to start my goal in another program. I made 26 phone calls out of a goal of 30. Staying connected to stay encouraged, which also means I need to hang out on Nerd Fitness more. I was overly concerned with weighing myself, so I stopped, but am noticing body changes around my stomach area. Onward to Level 2!

Full-time traveling sounds cool, but can see how hard it would be to keep up a habit. Rooting for you! -
Hi Firelamb! Fire is catching - your excitement that is! I haven't shared much on the forum yet, but thanks for telling your story. Carry on, warrior!

Hey everybody
FlameFighter replied to Dark_Knight7096's topic in Rebel Introductions and the Respawn Point
Hi Dark Knight! I just started myself a week ago, but welcome to the Rebellion forum! A toast to being happy in our own skin. -
Love your challenges! The debt-free life goal will definitely be on my list later. Go, Maaya, go!

Thanks, TMedina! I'm feeling good on Day 3, but feeling cautious about overdoing too many new things at once after reading all the habit posts! Three things to celebrate: Did my first workout today! My soda intake usually happens on days when I'm in the office and it's more convenient to get it. I stopped keeping soda in the house about a year ago, and I work from home in the winter, so most of the time, it is out of sight out of mind. But I succeeded in not buying soda for two office days and when I drank coffee or tea, I did not add refined sugar.

Hey there. After subscribing to Nerd Fitness e-mail a year ago, I'm finally getting started. I only just turned 34, but I've experienced intermittent shortness of breath and pain on a 25 minute walk recently. It's happened before, but I can't and don't want to ignore the signals my body is trying to send me anymore. More personal back story another post when I have more time. Happily, I've always wanted to be an assassin, and am excited there is a community for it. My main quest is to lower my body fat % to 20. I'm starting with 45%. Task 1: Beginner Body Weight Workout 3x week. (A=3, B=2, C=1) Task 2: Cut soda. (A=100%, B=80%, C=75%) Task 3: Cut back added sugar for coffee and tea. Coffee = creamer only. Tea = 1 tsp of honey. (A=100%, B= 80%, C=75%) Life Quest: I would like to make a phone call every day to start my goal in another program. Looking forward to meeting you, FlameFighter
