  1. I've actually been working on controlling the descent and bar path and was filming today from the side. This is warming up with a 135 triple and bottom pause, I'm pretty happy with this, but happy to hear more comments: https://youtu.be/4NjdUZPLFIU I'm irritated with my phone which failed on the last two sets, which I think were better, but here's a work set. I have a hitch sometimes that I need to work on where I get the bar forward and of balance. Very bad on rep 3. Rep 4 is where I think to be every time:https://youtu.be/8gUK9IzV0Bg Regarding getting my chest up, I guess I need clarity on just what you mean. I feel I am keeping it up...
  2. Thank you both! I was following the recommendations I've read to keep the forearm vertical under the bar and hands just outside the shoulders. I'll try moving my hands of a bit next time I press and post another video.
  3. I'm really struggling with my press form, and reading and watching videos doesn't seem to be helping. Immediately after pressing my neck is stiff and hurts to turn. This gets worse through my sets. I have no pain during the movement itself. I took two videos today, of my middle and final sets at 105 lbs. Please help me fix what I'm doing wrong! Middle set: https://youtu.be/j6cUD7RFqj8 Final set:https://youtu.be/OSg05OHF6dI
  4. Thanks for the advice, I've also been rereading SS this week, and here's the result: https://youtu.be/eUk5clfr4As This is 165 lbs, last set. I'm happier with this now, but please do share any critique!
  5. How's this, better? Again final set of 5x5, this time at 160 https://youtu.be/Nj86Xr-kI3o
  6. https://youtu.be/wSOdnSEvf3AA This is a set at 225, I would appreciate comments. Are my hips too low? Should the bar be even closer? How is my back position?
  7. https://youtu.be/ZxJ0BinJyZ4 OK, here's my most recent final set of 5x5 at 155. I think the advice about worrying too much about depth was spot on. I'm much happier with this bar path. Am I getting deep enough though?
  8. OK, as promised, hopefully this view is better. Final set of 5x5 at 145lbs. Please share feedback on any part! I feel my form suffered more the later the set went. https://youtu.be/JnJCUa0NNAY
  9. Thanks, I'll try and get a better angle tomorrow, it's a little difficult with the way the gym is set up. I try to set my feet heels under shoulders, with a 30 degree out turn. Left knee has had some iliotibial pain after squatting (not during) so I've been doing a lot of foam rolling and mobility work that seems to be helping. I pulled my patella tendon on that side off the tibia years ago and it was surgically repaired with screws, so that knee is always a bit tender and arthritic.
  10. Working my way back up on stronglifts 5x5 after some setbacks, I want to nail my form, please help! https://youtu.be/dr3GbESJvIU
  11. Thank you both! I'll try to stop holding my head so high.
  12. Hi, this is my first post here. I'd like to please hear any and all feedback on my deadlift form. I've been following the superhero workout from http://www.nerdfitness.com/blog/2012/06/25/super-hero-muscle/for 4 months and have been able to increase my deadlift significantly but I want to make sure I'm doing it correctly. As you'll see, I'm a big guy (too big, continuing to work on the diet). Is this video taken from too close to be useful? The Y doesn't have a ton of space and I had difficulty in setting up the phone to capture the whole movement. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Ur8dK3kWzY&feature=youtu.be
