  1. And so it came to pass that the noble Mr Willes did slay many a foul wyrm and countless were the tales told throughout the lands of his deeds. Insane workouts, phenomenal plankage, and iron will against temptations. You, sir, are an inspiration. I salute you.
  2. (Psst, your green BMI says +0,8 when it should read -0,8.) Spectacular! Two weeks down and you've nailed it! I can't wait to see what happens next. Talk about starting off Week 3 with a bang!
  3. Noor, Noor, Noor! I'm rooting for you. I hope Week 2 ended well, and if not, well, Week 3 is a whole new week! A new day, a new week, brimming with incredible possibilities. Keep strong, Noor!
  4. Daylight Savings Time is evil. Really great progress, Chaos!
  5. I was taught back flat to the bench and, personally, it did not cause any damage nor pain. However, arching is also a viable method. As Annaraven said, there are different forms depending on what you wish to emphasize. Wooo! Wooo! Very, very impressive progress percentage-wise and weight-gain-wise! Rock on, Mariska! Also, congratulations on the lamb!
  6. Week 2 Results:

 Quest 1: Drag my carcass through the woods four times a week.
A= 4/Week; B= 3/Week; C= 2/Week; F= Less than twice per week.

 A= 2/Week; C= 1/Week; F= Less than once per week.
 Week 2 Total: 2 Times.

 Quest 3: Adhere to my chosen diet of Paleo with cheese. Said personal diet includes absolutely no soda, coffee, alcohol, energy drinks, bread, pasta, rice, or beans. Tea is allowed in small quantities. A single chocolate bar is an acceptable deviation once per week, however it is preferable not to indulge.
A= Zero Failure; B= 2 Failures/Week; C= 3 Failures/Week; F= More than three failures per week.
 Week 2 Total: 1 Failure.

Life Quest: Write 2 pages per day, for a total of 84 pages through the course of the challenge. All pages must relate to the current work in need of finishing.
 A= 84 pages by the end of the Challenge; B= 78-83 pages; C= 70-77 pages; D= 10-69 pages; F= 0-9 pages.
 Week 2 Total: 0 pages. Uh oh.

 MiniQuest for Week 2: Complete! Signature? Check! Stalking people? Check! Specifically: Sovellis, Lady of Gallifrey, Yasha92, MssMaris, Noor, Mr_Willes, Keejos, and Chaos22. Initial Stats (for the Challenge) Date: 02/23/2015 Weight: 256.5
Size: 20/22
 Full Bust: 49.25"
Waist: 46"
 Full Hip: 56.5"

 Week 1 Statistics:
Date: 03/01/2015
Weight: 255.5 [-1 pound]
 Size: 20 [sweet!]
 Full Bust: 48.75" [-0.5 inches]
 Waist: 44.75" [-1.25 inches]
 Full Hip: 55.5" [-1.0 inches] Week 2 Statistics [Difference is from prior week's results, total difference will be determined during the final results]: Date: 03/08/2015 Weight: 254 [-1.5 pounds] Size: 20 [still awesome!] Full Bust: 49.25" [+0.5 inches] Waist: 44" [-0.75 inches] Hip: 55.25" [-0.25 inches] So, the puppy whelping kind of threw a curveball at me, and despite my optimism, I was not prepared. Minimal to no sleep is apparently horrible for exercise. On the positive side, a bit of re-scheduling later and I have a new time slot for exercise. Huzzah! My life quest however, continues to be a weakness. Time to crack down on that and seriously crank out some pages. I don't want an F! By the way, the full bust measurement fluctuation is mainly caused by the archery. Basically, the musculature is changing and, well, pulling them up higher. Attitude for Week 2: Understanding of my limits, optimistic for the future, feeling a renewed sense of dedication.
  7. 03/08/2015 Hike through the woods: Yes Time: 25 Min Distance: 1.25 miles. Terrain: rugged. Uneven ground, low brush, rocky. Still getting back up to snuff. Glad to be back in the swing of things again. Archery: Yep! The wind was trying to kick up today, so that was interesting. I've been thinking of experimenting with different arrow weights, just to get a feel for the difference. On the other hand, the ones I use fly straight. *shrug* Food: Today was a good day to food.
  8. Oh no! That's terrible! Hobbies are supposed to be times of enjoyment, done for the passion of the activity or interest. Not places to feud. Sharing them is always an act of opening up to someone, letting them in to your heart (letting them see and hear you with something you love doing). Stabbing someone while they are exposed so vulnerably is absolutely despicable. I apologize if this comes off unduly harsh, but truly, frustration is no excuse to ruin a time dedicated to friendship. If anything, I would have thought it would re-inspire her to do what she had once loved, and be an archer once again. To reconnect with a passion, an experience, of times past. To instead act with viciousness and lash out… I simply don't know what to say. As Everanything says, I wish you the best of luck in regaining your emotional stability, and I hope the days to come are kinder to you. The past is the past, all we can do is make the future better.
  9. 11 more than the 68? *whistle* Heck of an increase, nicely done!
  10. Wooooo! Archery! Archery! 38/40 is absolutely nothing to sneeze at. Congratulations!

  12. Well, for a very long time they were only raised in Italy. And then when WWII came about, they almost all died out. It took an extremely careful breeding program by all of the remaining Italian breeders to bring the Spinone back from basically extinction. There still aren't a lot of them around. It's one of the reasons I love working with them, they're too cool to die out. Also, no worries about the snow. That picture is from last year. It's actually really weird this year, we should have that amount but instead the ground is bare (except for the frost each night and of course the millions of pine needles). It's kind of creepy.
  13. 03/06/2015 Oof. The neighbor's horses decided to go for a bit of a rampage around my house today. By the time I got done helping round them up, and then got back from the vet appointment, there was no daylight left. Sadness. Food: Annnd that slice of key lime pie makes 1 failure for the week. Curses. ======================== 03/07/2015 Haha! Finally. Hike through the woods: YES! Time: 20 Min Distance: 0.75 miles. Terrain: rugged. Uneven ground, low brush, rocky. Short hike, but at least I am moving once more. Finally got my schedule figured out again, and re-made time for exercise. Success! Archery: YES! Had fun experimenting with kneeling poses today. One knee down on the ground and one up seems to give me an incredibly stable platform. Very happy with this so far. I was actually getting a bit better accuracy than a standing position at a mid to close range. Food: So much salad today! Very happy. All over, today was a wonderful day and I finally feel like I am moving forward once again.
  14. Welcome aboard, Mr. Willes! Hehehe! I have to say, "dog vicariously" made my day. They get a bit bigger than a Golden Retriever, and weigh in at about 65-85 pounds. Personality wise, they will hunt all day long and then come home and flop around like dog rugs. They are extremely devoted to one family, and rather stand-offish to everyone else. They are not a guard dog, but they do make for alarm dogs. That is, they will bark at something suspicious, but are more inclined to run away and get help than fight (ours used to always go and get the Dane). They've been around for two thousand years or so, primarily in Italy, and were bred to hunt with an adult and then come home and be great with the kids in rather isolated territories. Some of them are more birdy than others. If they are birdy they can be a bit obsessive, and can get destructive if bored. If they aren't, then they tend to be extremely lazy. They will want to be by your side, all day long. Like, glued to your hip. And finally, they are exceedingly smart. No, seriously, really, really smart. They look before crossing a street, they open gates, they request to be let outside, they understand designated areas (go to the forest, the fields, for a ride, for a walk, go hunting, in the house, actually different rooms in the house, etc). Some of it is training, the rest is just talking to them. They pick things up, fast. I will say, the funniest thing was when I was walking Sofia, and she just froze. We were in a suburban area, and then, after assessing the situation, she just started barking her head off. I was like, what? There's nothing around! Then I looked where she was pointing, there was a fellow doing repairs up on his roof. So, yes, they do also come with a Sniper Alarm. ===================================== Date: 03/05/2015 Only got three hours of sleep last night, so sadly, archery and hiking were right out. It's a bad idea to shoot while tired, and the ground is too treacherous this time of year to not have your wits about you. Ah well, I can still manage an A this week if I hike and arch on the remainder of the days. Food so far: Had my weekly chocolate bar for the quick energy boost. Other than that, perfectly fine.
  15. Heya Lady! Oh man, how am I only just now realizing one of your quests is poledancing? That is fantastic! It's an extremely rewarding and entertaining exercise, although you can get a bit dizzy. I wish you the best of luck with your class!
  16. Extremely impressive grouping! And it's wonderful to hear that the archery is not aggravating your shoulder! Also, well done on the goal-reevaluation. It's always good to get out and just breathe the air. ==================================== While outside, a stranger walks by and hands you a folded note. Written on the parchment in black calligraphy is the following; "Due to your explorations of the outside world, you have earned a Forgotten Word. That word is Apricity, the warmth of the sun on a cold winter day." [sorry, I just couldn't resist. It was too perfect of a word for your current quest.]
  17. Heya Noor, pleased to meet you! I have to say, I am incredibly impressed with your drive. Aiming to lose 200 pounds is by itself remarkable even to attempt, but to do it while also a grad student and working? I sincerely applaud you. I am going to be following the stuffing out of your challenge, just as a fair warning.
  18. Puppies! 1 Day Old: Here's a shot of Pesto from the last litter (he was my favorite): And here's a shot of the newborns' mom, Sofia (the white/orange in the front), and her sister, Fabrizia (the brown roan in the back, also Pesto's Mom), at my place:
  19. Date: 03/04/2015 Weight: 253.5 We'll see if that weight loss actually holds true, since most of it is likely due to the fact that the last few days have been completely insane and food has been extremely hit or miss. Hike through the woods: Yes! Time: 29 min. Distance: 1.36 miles. Terrain: rugged. Uneven ground, low brush, rocky. I would have loved to have gone longer, but today truly was a "drag my carcass through the woods day." At least I made it out and about. Archery: Nope. I was racing sunset as it was, just to get my hike in. Food so far: I'm getting extremely skilled at making ribs. No faults today. =================================== I just woke up, hence the flood of posts above me, and just finally finished updating my backlog. Truly sorry about the delay. WOOOOOO! I am glad to be back, Rebellion! I can't wait to catch up with everyones' journeys! It's still a bit chaotic around the madhouse, so give me a few hours to finish sorting through... well, just about everything.
  20. Date: 03/03/2015 Hike through the woods: Nope. Archery: Nope. Food so far: All Paleo, all the way. Needed more vegetables, but hey, I was barely conscious. And I quote from my journal, "AHHHHHHH! Puppy EXPLOSION!" No seriously, that's all my notes say. I'm surprised I wrote that much, since I was incredibly loopy from sleep deprivation at the time. Somehow I managed to at least keep my food on track. I suppose that's the benefit of having nothing illegal in the house. Makes sleep cooking possible. Pages for Week 2 so far: Zero, zilch, nadda. Fortunately, the nightshift of puppy-watch will give me ample time to correct this.
  21. Date: 03/02/2015 Hike through the woods: Nope, impending puppy doom. Archery: Nope, impending puppy doom. Food so far: All Paleo, all the way.
  22. Week 1 Results: Quest 1: Drag my carcass through the woods four times a week. A= 4/Week; B= 3/Week; C= 2/Week; F= Less than twice per week. Week 1 Total: 5.5 Times. Quest 2: Dust off my bow and practice archery a minimum of two times a week. Especially since the snow decided to flee northern Idaho for no known reason. A= 2/Week; C= 1/Week; F= Less than once per week. Week 1 Total: 5 Times. A= Zero Failure; B= 2 Failures/Week; C= 3 Failures/Week; F= More than three failures per week. Week 1 Total: 1 Failure. Life Quest: Write 2 pages per day, for a total of 84 pages through the course of the challenge. All pages must relate to the current work in need of finishing. A= 84 pages by the end of the Challenge; B= 78-83 pages; C= 70-77 pages; D= 10-69 pages; F= 0-9 pages. Week 1 Total: 5 pages. Initial Stats (for the Challenge)
 Date: 02/23/2015
 Weight: 256.5 Size: 20/22 Full Bust: 49.25" Waist: 46" Full Hip: 56.5" Week 1 Statistics: Date: 03/01/2015 Weight: 255.5 [-1 pound] Size: 20 [sweet!] Full Bust: 48.75" [-0.5 inches] Waist: 44.75" [-1.25 inches] Full Hip: 55.5" [-1.0 inches] I am extremely happy with my physical and mental progress and results so far. I definitely need to refocus on my writing, but at least with this challenge and goal I can easily tell when I am slipping up. I am surprised at how easily the Archery and Hiking are coming along, I honestly thought those would be the harder goals. Meanwhile, the accountability of the Paleo maintenance quest is keeping me hyper-aware of what I am eating, and the logging is keeping me honest. Attitude for Week 1: Ecstatic, thrilled, surprised, successful.
  23. Oooookay. Sorry about the delay in logging folks! I've been helping my mother whelp a litter of puppies, and kind of was up for some 36 hours in a row. I have not abandoned the Rebellion! Just got a little ambushed. I also pulled nightshift on puppy-watch, so my schedule will need to get slightly creative, but my goals are still completely doable. By the way, there are 8 puppies, I'll post a pic later. They are Spinoni Italiani, an Italian hunting breed that is basically an all-terrain hunter. Water, snow, rough brush, they do it all. Onwards with the backlogged records! There's going to be a few back to back posts as I get all this up. I really like to keep the days each to their own post. ================================= Date: 03/01/2015 Hike through the woods: Nope, rest day today. Archery: Nope, rest day. Food so far: *Gasp!* I slipped up today. Had a slice of cheesecake. So that's 1 failure for the week so far.
  24. Ouch! Glad you stopped before it got any worse. I have to say for muscle pain, massages are absolutely awesome. Hope your night out went well!
  25. Looks like you are really getting in to the swing of things! Way to go! I'm also curious what you think of the Zombies, run! app, I've heard nothing but good things about it so far.
