  1. I've gotten better at working out consistently, so this challenge will be focused at keeping up on that and starting to limit my worknight drinking again.   2. Mixed bag! Workouts actually went pretty well. I didn't keep really solid track but I worked out at least 3 times a week and did lots of dance videos and participated in the mini challenge. I discovered The Fitness Marshall videos and I LOVE IT. So much fun. I have been working out more than usual because they are such fun and generally dancing around when I hear the songs come on the radio. Excellent. Drinking (not) has not been great. Mostly limiting, but not stopping on the week nights. I have a very stressful life event coming up, so I have starting meditating and hopefully can get better in the next few weeks.
  3. The lip synching is fabulous. I love that even if you totally mess up all of the dancing you still got a workout. YEAH!!!!! WORKOUT TREATS! I have totally been working out more often just because I find the videos so fun.

  6. Omg. Y'all. I just found this youtube channel this week and I am obsessed. They are awesome dance cardio workouts. The guy is hilarious and it's really fun. Plus there are diverse body types represented in the videos which is always good. The playlists separate out the songs by warm up, main workout, and cool down, plus there is a weekly workout playlist. If this is your thing check it out. The Fitness Marshall

  8. This challenge has gone by really fast! Quick update: Week 1: 2 workouts and 1 video Week 2: 2 workouts I also have been working on the various activities for the mini, which is an awesome set up. Working on the drinking, work in progress. Haven't been able to do origin story yet, but will get to it soon (and I'll share when it's done!)

  10. Okay, do over challenge! The past month has been rough for a variety of reasons. I was mostly off kilter and did not do much last month. I am on a good track to get better this month.   12. Team Blue! I've never played a Pokemon game before and this is totally awesome. I knew the nerds around here would be all over it!
  13. The trip was good! We drove from South Carolina to Wyoming for a wedding, so out of 7 days we were in the car for 6 of them! We should have done better at finding time to do something active, we were just too tired! And it was so hot... I'm excited to get back to it though!

  15. I did pretty well last challenge but need to keep building good habits, so my challenge will be very similar to the last one. I will be out of town until Tuesday of next week so my challenge will be off by a couple of days.   16. Weeks 3 and 4 Fitness: To match up with mini-challenge Super Strength - 4/6, schedule was weird and I missed a few. Super Toughness - 6/6, I walked a ton. I know it was more than 3 a week, but not sure exactly. Shape Shifting - I did one video. My schedule doesn't really work for videos right now so I think I'm gonna try something else. Nemesis Fight: Cut alcohol out of work nights: Overall success 8/10. I had a couple but overall it went well. Build the Story: I worked on my quests but didn't finish everything. I am going to carry this over to the next challenge and keep working on it.
  17. It was awesome! We had a really great time! It was a big group, it was Pearl, Violet, Miss Fame, Courtney Act, Adore, Alaska, Sharon, Phi Phi, and Michelle Visage. I'm not gonna lie, I think my favorite was Michelle, though there were a lot of great performances.
  18. Week 2 was pretty good! I did all of my workouts and such and was able to keep up with those, so that is great. A little slip on the no booze but not too bad. On Tuesday we went out to the Rupaul's Drag Race Battle of the Seasons tour. It was incredible, but we are for sure too old to be going out on Tuesday night. The nice thing was that we didn't have anything to drink at the show, which is pretty much a big deal, but we were so jazzed up when we got home that we had a nightcap before bed. Still, overall success. I still haven't done a yoga video which means that it is apparently not a need/not going to work. I think I might try doing basic mobility stretches in the morning instead of trying to do a formal video. Fitness: To match up with mini-challenge Super Strength - 4/3, I caught up from last week. Super Toughness - 3/3, I did not run but I walked a ton this week. I like the walking so I think I will stick with it. Shape Shifting - No go. Still gonna try for some videos but might just do other stuff Nemesis Fight: Cut alcohol out of work nights: Overall success 4/5. Build the Story: Haven't started yet!
  19. Week one went pretty well! Here are some updates. Overall I have felt much better this week so even though I didn't do exactly as planned I'm happy so far. Fitness: To match up with mini-challenge Super Strength - 2/3, I'm going to add Sunday's workout to tonight's to balance out and cover it Super Toughness - 3/3, I did not run but I walked a ton this week. I may try to run this week but I think I will keep walking. Shape Shifting - No go. We were out of town this weekend so I didn't try this weekend. I'm gonna try for some short videos at work and see what happens. Nemesis Fight: Cut alcohol out of work nights: Good to go! 5/5. It was a little rough at first, mostly because I have trouble sleeping. Overall I felt more rested and my sleep is starting to balance out. Hopefully this week will continue going well. Build the Story: Haven't started yet!
  20. So, I believe that Fearless Leader said earlier that if it contributes to your overall goal and is a fitness choice rather than a necessity, then you can count it. For example, I am actively trying to walk more everyday as part of my overall fitness. To get to work I can either take a shuttle across campus or walk the whole way. When I choose to walk, I count that towards the goal. Somebody just let me know if this is wrong!

  22. It's time to build a super hero!! After about a year and a half of doing random things in an attempt to get healthy and get focused it is time to get serious and figure out where I want to go. I will do this by reconfirming habits that have slipped in the past few weeks and working through who my alter ego is. Fitness: To match up with mini-challenge Super Strength - Do Convict conditioning 3 times a week Super Toughness - Run 3 times a week Shape Shifting - Do at least one yoga video a week to work on mobility Nemesis Fight: Cut alcohol out of work nights...again. My first NF challenge was to do this and it has reared it's head again the past few weeks. My excuse is stress and work transition, but it is causing me to feel even worse so that is bullshit.   23. Alright, I got lost during this challenge, but that's alright. Here is my qualitative summary. Music Play piano for 1 hour a week I did this for 2 weeks. I like doing this and think it will be fun. I found a good site that I like but I'm not sure when it will best fit in my schedule. As I transition to a new job, I'm going to wait on this. I'll add it back if I reestablish it as a priority. Scheduling I want to start working out in the morning. I'm not sure how feasible this will be so I am going to try it for this challenge. Workout 2x a week in the morning. Could be strength workout or running, just try it. This worked pretty well for the first 2 weeks. I switched jobs and all my habits went kerfluy. I may attempt this again next challenge but I think I will focus on getting my workouts in, whenever since they slipped towards the end of this challenge. Meditate I have a new job, but I can't quit my current job yet. I should be able to half way through this challenge. My challenge for this month will be not to lose my damn mind waiting to leave my job. Meditate in the mornings and reflect on thoughts and feelings about old job v new job I did this for the first two weeks then see above. However all I don't feel too bad about this challenge, I'm in a major transition so these things happen. My next goal will be to refocus on my basic habits that have gotten off the past two weeks, then work on innovation after.
