  1. I have started a run group for members of the rebellion on Runkeeper. This is something new we are trying out. The initial challenge for the group is to run 2x a week for 4 weeks. We will adjust after we see how that works. We have 6 members at this point. If you would like to join, let me know your email used to sign up for Runkeeper. Happy running.
  2. There has not been much activity here in a while, as you can see, but I am also interested in a meetup.
  3. I am from Stillwater. How's it going?
  4. It has been pretty quite around here lately. Any meetups planned anytime soon?
  5. Sorry guys, life happened and I just can't continue on with the challenge. I have missed too much and fell like I would be cheating to count this challenge as a success. I am just not in the right place right now to continue. That doesn't mean I am giving up on my goals, or that I am quitting. I am just done with this particular challenge. I may be back in for a future challenge. Thanks for all the encouragement and I wish you all the best. I will be around and may even try to stop back in and check up on how everyones doing.

  7. There is an awesome supehero workout app for smart phones. I have only done one episode, but it was pretty fun. I love superheros.
  8. Great job in week 2! How are things going so far this week?
  9. Your doing great. I have to ask, what is a spiralizer?
  10. Good job, keep up the work. I am impressed you went to a party without going over on calories. I have a birthday party to go to this weekend and I know I will probably go over, if only because of beer. Since I know it is coming up though, I am doing my best to eat well the remainder of the week so that I have some calories to spare.
  11. Week 3 - Day 2 Another great day. Woke up early again this morning to work out. Ran three miles on the indoor track. It is still not quite warm enough and bright enough to start running outside before work. I was under my calories again for the day. Spinach-Banana protein shake for breakfast, celery and peanut butter for a morning snack, turkey burger sliders with baked ruffles for lunch, mixed nuts and strawberries for an afternoon snack, and carne asada tacos and salsa for dinner. Day two of my PLP challenge. I had an event to photograph after work, so I almost forgot about doing this today. Luckily Habit RPG reminded my before bed. I started to watch a lynda.com tutorial, but didn't get very far before something else came up. I will have to watch more tomorrow.
  12. Week 3 - Day 1 Great day! Woke up early this morning to work out, which wasn't easy b/c of DST. Had a great circuit workout. The two trainers that run the bootcamp class I take broke us up into two groups. We did a lower body exercise for a minute, then sprinted down to the other side of the gym and did an upper body exercise. We did this for about 35 minutes. It was a good work out. I was under my calories for the day. Spinach-Banana protein shake for breakfast, grapes and cheese for a morning snack, tuna and crackers with baked ruffles for lunch, Kashi GoLean cereal dry for an afternoon snack, and turkey burger sliders with sweet potato fries for dinner. I started over on my PLP challenge today. Only one pushup, one sit up, and one pull up. It was easy, but gotta start from the bottom. I also watched a lynda.com tuturial on layout and compostition.
  13. Thanks for all the encouragement team! You really are the best, very glad I decided to join. Finished the day strong, worked out, was under my calorie goal, did my PLP challenge and watched an hour of lynda.com videos. Time to do it all again tomorrow.
  14. Ok, so I am here once again to apologize. I had another really bad week 3/7. I am really bringing down the average and I am sorry. This isn't like me at all. Usually when I commit to something, especially when others are involved and it's competitive, I usually go all in. These past two weeks have been everything but. I have not been committed to my goals or to the team. I am allowing myself one more chance, and hope you all will too. Everything is lined up for me to have a great week. I went grocery shopping this weekend and menu planned for the entire week. I plan on being at all three of my class sessions this week, and the forecast is looking good for some outdoor runs. I also plan on doing my PLP challenge every day as soon as I get home from work. Preparation will be the key this week.
  15. Ok, so basically this is my written confession. I suck! Or at least I have here lately. Now I am not fishing for comments on how it is ok, because it is not. Tough love is what I need. Time to kick myself in the butt and get going. I have not been committed to this challenge like I should be. I get myself hyped up and motivated, then fall through when it is time to be disciplined and put in the work. I didn't run Saturday or Sunday, which means I only worked out 1/3 times this week. I didn't log my food, honestly what's the point when it's junk. Also, I didn't touch my pull up bar a single time last week. Basically I have been a bum. I am giving myself one more chance to truly commit 100% to the challenge. This week I am going to kill it. I am already off to a good start. Woke up and worked out this morning and am having a spinach-banana protein shake for breakfast. Time to tap into my inner Oliver Queen.
  16. Anyone going to Camp Nerd Fitness? I really want to, but honestly a little scared to go by myself and not sure it is in the budget.
  17. Thanks I am here. My "little bit under the weather" Monday and Tuesday turned into full blown sickness on Wednesday and Thursday. Luckily I work at a University and we were closed Wednesday for bad weather (more snow) so I was able to rest a little. I am feeling much better today. Not 100% better, but way better than past two days. The bad news is I haven't had the energy to work out and have not been tracking calories, the good(ish) news is that I didn't feel like eating too much the last two days, so I guarantee I was under my calories. Gotta look on the bright side of things. The weather is looking pretty good for the weekend, in the 60s (even though it was 11 degrees yesterday morning, no wander I am sick.) I am planning on trying to get a run in on Saturday and Sunday which will give me my 3 days of working out this week.
  18. I am a very visual person so I am digging all the charts. i also like the Zig-Zag idea. Very creative way to solve the problem of eating too few calories. Keep the updates coming.
  19. Keep up the good work. I have the same (bathroom) problem when I am drinking so much water lol. The good thing is that is more steps you get in every day.
  20. Keep it up! C25K is a great program and really made me fall in love with running. Don't worry too much about pace. Keep up the hard work and your pace will improve. Before you know it you will be running further and faster than you thought possible.
  21. Great job, keep it up. It is good that you plan in breaks for yourself quilt free.
  22. Good job. I know how tough it can be to get in those 10,000 steps, especially in these winter months. 6/7 is impressive. I can totally relate to spending too much money on food. It accounts for way more of my budget than I would like. I found that meal planning a week in advance helps me out a lot. I just make sure it is a flexible plan that can be shuffled around if necessary.
  23. Sounds like we were in the same boat for week one. You still did better than me though. It is def hard to eat healthy on the road. For me it is hard to pay for the healthy option when I know I won't enjoy it as much as my normal favorites. Keep up the good work. Let's kick butt in week 2.
