  1. I know this challenge is over, but I wanted to put what I got out of down on (metaphorical) paper! WORKING OUT IS AWESOME. I love the endorphins. Endorphins are GREAT. And now I can do all three circuits without feeling like ralphing or there's no air in my lungs. And pushups! I can beat my husbandthing in pushups! The jump roping is still a bit tough, but that's because the downstairs neighbors come up and complain about the noise. Jump roping quietly is not really possible. The eating clean - hard, but worth it. The hardest part was not lounging on the couch after walking home from work and deciding to get pizza. (My wallet thanks me too.) I ate mostly veggies and protein and the occasional bagelthin. Those were mostly mornings that I knew I wasn't going to get lunch at work until almost time to go home, so I had a little extra to make up for that. I quit obsessively tracking my food - it was getting a little ridiculous for me (I ... don't always have the healthiest relationship to food. I compete with myself - 'how little can I eat' kind of stuff.) WATER. Good old water. I've gotten used to drinking as much as I've been drinking. It's been water (except for those couple of days it felt like I was dying of a cold and then it was orange juice and Vitamin C tablets with more water) and nothing but. Now that I'm getting started good, I'm going to keep going. More bodyweight! More yoga! Keep the HFCS away from me! Continue eating veggies (frozen. Not fresh unless I'm eating them THAT DAY. Lesson learned from slimy onion.) PRESS START TO CONTINUE! *presses start with extreme prejudice* I WILL CONTINUE!
  2. I kinda didn't pay attention to my food intake while camping and you know what? I ate better. Hmm. Maybe it's time to not really obsessively track my food as much as I've been doing. (I mean, still got to cut down the intake of chocolate, but it's been stressful at work.) I've been working on the recruit workout and the Academy Bodyweight Brigade Level 1 workout. I'm having to make some adjustments because some of them I just don't have the equipment for. That's okay, though. I'm still working on it. I can do a good ten pushups now before I lose the ability to breathe. Push through it, Self! (But don't push through it so much you can't breathe. Keep that in mind.) I've been drinking soooo much water. It's getting almost disgusting how much water I've been going though. Hurrah for Brita pitchers. I haven't measured myself recently, but I need to. I'm probably going to do it at the end of the challenge.
  3. I'm still here! Went on a week long camping trip and oh my gosh the walking and lifting and hiking. Doing good so far - My tight trousers fit again!
  4. I have done my workouts, I have stayed within 100cal of my target per day and I have already started to see a change. It's more in how I feel rather than how I look, but I'll take that! I do know that I have lost some sort of measurement around my waist, as my trousers are a little looser. Hip hip hooray! I am doing the impossible and getting tired of apples and nut butter. I switch between cashew and almond, and it's getting boring. Hmm. No celery for me, though. I'll find something. Maybe some baby carrots?
  5. Thank you! I am trying hard and working out like I'm supposed to and everyone is helping out with that! Thank you so much! Because it's cheap.
  6. Thank you! I am feeling slightly overwhelmed with all the support, but it's a good overwhelmed. I am not used to support in what I do to make my health better (except from my nurse practitioner and the Husbandthing) so this is awesome. Thank you so much! I will come check out the Assassins of Awesome!
  7. Aww, thank you! *fistbump!* I really find the cleaning up the diet part the hardest. I will admit that I have a serious addiction to sugar and it's tough to break. I can get rid of all the bread and pasta and grains I like, but if I can't break my addiction to the white demon, nothing will change. I'm trying to break it slowly, though. If I go cold turkey, I will rebel against myself. I know this because I've done it before. I really just need to get rid of it in the house but that's a little difficult when the Husbandthing likes his sugar too. I may have to just bite the bullet and get rid of it in my life anyway. (I did get rid of HFCS in my life, though. That's hard. It's in everything.)
  8. Oh my gosh, that was super helpful! Thanks so much!
  9. Today was not a great day, and yesterday was a better day than today. Nonetheless, I worked out! I ate appropriately! I drank plenty of water! The Bodyweight Brigade workout is hard. Well, not hard really, just... it's kicking my butt right now, but I'm doing all of it (except the jump rope. I've got to get one of those and soon.) I have an accountability buddy! She's not on the forums, but we text each other every day to see how we're doing. Having someone to hold you accountable is so much easier than just doing it on your own. Now if I can just figure out how those progress bars work, I'll be at little more set than before!
  10. I am slowly getting rid of what I eat in wheat and wheat byproducts. I hate just throwing the stuff out, so I'm slowly eating it away. Omnomnom Honeycrisp apples. So good.
  11. Breakfast went well! I had half a bagel with cream cheese and a delightful Honeycrisp apple. Lunch was a salad with a wee bit of ranch - two tablespoons, about. And I have one more apple for the late afternoon. Thanks for the encouragement! It means a lot to know that someone out there is cheering me on as well as themself!
  12. I did forty five minutes of strenuous walking last night and did some yoga today. I also hit my protein goal and stayed under my carb limit, so hurrah! I picked up some apples to have a breakfast because I have to teach myself to eat breakfast again. Looking forward to tomorrow's workout! I can do this!

    The Juice Bar

I'm rather excited. It's my first NF challenge and I know I can do it! Good luck to us all!
  14. Today I have already had a little less than 2/3s of my water intake. (20oz). I just have sixteen more to go! I can do this!
