  1. Weekly Update! Weight: Last week: 290.8 This week: 288.4 Running I switched back to c25k instead of zombies, run. I really like the story of zombies run, but I'm not really in an area where I feel comfortable skipping, high kneeing and squatting while running/walking down the road. I'm actually doing the 0-10k on runDouble not just the normal c25k. Strength: I failed on this. I did push-ups/squats on saturday and sunday and then forgot Monday and Tuesday. To address this I've put a screen shot of the beginner strength work out sets on my bathroom wall. (I printed it out I don't have a computer hanging in there.) That way I see it in the morning when I'm in there and can remember to dothem. Hopefully it ends up becoming a habit. The run/walks every day are habit and I haven't missed any of those. (I wonder if that could count as part of the mini challenge since it's my problem area? I didn't find a thread on it though, the work out was in the email I got a couple days after I signed up. ) Starting next week I think I'm gonna include my little activity charts from fitbit but since this was the first week I had it the charts weren't really all that accurate so I decided to wait. This concludes my weekly update. Hopefully I covered everything. I'm not having any trouble keeping up with calories or anything, I've been under every day this week.

  3. Ok thanks! I will try and figure out a different one. I'll probably update this on Wednesdays, or Fridays, I haven't decided which. I weigh in on Wednesday, but my Zombies week ends on friday so it's a tossup.
  4. I did the minichallenge I think? I made my signature *points at it* I also tried to join the Zombies run group or I did I'm not entirely sure what I'm doing I feel like I should make my signature "I hope I did this right" because I don't know XD
  5. Hello, I can't figure out the spreadsheet so wanted to post that I wanted to join. My Zombies, Run link is in my signature, as is my challenge page. I've been doing it for 4 weeks now. The 5k training not the regular one. My name's Jaded, I'm very new to NF, I currently run 3x a week with the Zombies, RUN 5k training and sometimes normal c25k. I really want to be able to do one of those Zombie runs they have. And not get eaten. I hope I did this right.
  6. I went and stole the challenge format cause I think it's prettier and it improved my entry. I originally posted this in the wrong place too but I deleted the text out of the other one >.> Introduction: Hi I am Jaded and this is my first challenge. I am currently 290.8 pounds. (Down from ~380 since 2011, down from 312.2 since January.) I like to run, and I like to walk. There's no exercise that I've stuck to longer than those two. I've bought bikes, ellipticals, and treadmills but nothing keeps me on track more than going out for a run/walk. Well mostly walking I've usually been to heavy to run. I really want to be able to run and participate in color runs, zombie runs, marathons. Things that you get pictures and medals and good memories from. Main Quest: Lose 150 pounds by September of next year. (Specifically September 6th as that will be my 30th birthday.) Quest 1: On Monday, Wednesday, and Friday participate in either Zombies, RUN! 5k training program, or the c25k. (This usually ends up being about 3 miles) On Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, go for a 3 mile medium paced walk, and do strength training. Reward: +1 Stamina Quest 2: I will add 1k more "non-active" steps per day. (Right now most of my steps come from my morning workout. I'd like to add more so I'm a little more active throughout the day. I'll get up every hour or so and walk around the house. Current step average: 10k Goal Step average: 11k Reward: (I don't know what to put here.) Quest 3: Add pushups to my exercises. I can do about 10 wall pushups, and about 3 halfpushups. I want to up each of those by 10 Reward: +2 STR Life Quest: Complete the middle branch of my Spanish duolingo tree. Reward: +2 WIS Motivation: I want to have and do things that leave a mark. It might not be a big mark, it might just be a wall full of runner tags/medals/colored shirts that I can look at when I'm old and grey and remember what I accomplished. Oh and living to be old and grey would be nice as well.
  7. Hello, I just signed up. I probably should not have made my name Jaded_Scout as I'm not a scout yet, but I'm pretty sure that's my calling I'm a slow Orc right now. But I'm a smaller than I was at the beginning of the year so I might shrink right out of my race I guess I can share some of my story. In 2011 I was a giant blob monster. (I don't know the scientific name.) I was pushing 400 pounds and had trouble breathing on the short walk to the bathroom and back. I decided I was done with that. I started pretty simple with just cutting down on how much I ate, and walking to work instead of getting a ride. I recently started the Zombies, RUN! 5k training program and I am four weeks in. I can now jog (about a 14min/mile pace) a whole half mile! I am now 290 pounds and still going down. I decided under 300 "promoted" me to Orc. One day I'll be an elf! I currently have a fitbit/myfitnesspal account and have been logging all my food and exercise there. Thanks for reading! EDIT: To clarify I started this year at 312.2 and am now at 290!
