Good to hear. I'm glad to of found someplace i can get help and hopefully give help when i become more confident in the details =) This is definitely an investment into the rest of my life -
Hola! This is the first time I've become really serious about my health! I've always been the fat kid growing up. I was fine with it for a while but I've been going through a pretty radical life change and figured I might as well get in shape while i'm at it! I did some weight training my sophomore year of highschool. I wasn't tracking anything but how much i was lifting. I wasn't losing weight but i was definitely gaining muscle and i loved it! But after that. Nothing. I did change my diet and activity(though not consciously) my senior year and wound up losing 40lbs or so. After i graduated everything went to hell pretty much. I started partying and playing WoW. I wasn't working, going to school or doing a lot of physical activity. My days were party til 4 wake up at noon then play WoW until the next party. Between the beer and the energy drinks and eating fast food i was doing a lot of damage to my body. Needless to say i wound up at 340lbs. Which i found out at the Doctors because i was having stomach issues. So I cut portions and soda and energy drinks out. I'm still not sure if it was effective because we don't have a scale. Then i found NF! I'm trying the paleo diet and walking 1 mile in the morning at a good pace (about 4-5 mph) and then 3 miles at night at the same speed. Also I'm doing the beginners body weight routine since I don't have access to a gym. And it works well with my school hours once i start in December. Right now I'm going for a weight loss goal of 100lbs by next october at the latest. If i can do it faster but stay healthy I'm all for it. After that i'll have a more consistent schedule and will work towards gaining weight in the form of muscle. But until then i'm tired of being the fat guy haha! Not sure what kind of support to expect from here. Maybe some more detailed help on effective weight loss techniques
