  1. Doing good! Down to 217lbs this morning. Using Stronglifts and Zombies, Run! apps. Still forgetting on the occasional day to take my vitamins, but getting it most days! Might go out for a second walk tonight, the one earlier was a bit short.
  2. More workouts! I think I found a spot that needs some catchup work, so I'll be going easy for a week or two until I get that feeling better. I think I used my upload space. All my workout stuff is getting blogged on my Tumblr side-blog tho. LaptopCoffeeShape

  4. I think I'm coming down with a cold or something. I've had a cough for a couple days & feels like it' been a bit worse today. Probably going to put the Wake Up Early goal on hold til I'm feeling better. Everything else is going well & I'll probably hit the vitamins harder this week to try to kill the cold (or whatever it is!). Last night I cut out some pieces to work on doll sewing this week. I'm making Jack a pastel outfit (it's a Tumblr fashion thing). I had him on the table so I could use the clothes he has to make patterns for the new ones.
  5. Went & worked out today! Took my vitamins. Painted my Converses, they look really cool now. Waking up early still needs work.
  6. Late waking up this morning, about 10:25 am. I usually hear the kids getting up around 7, but slept through it today, so I must have needed the sleep. Gonna go take my vitamins in a minute so I don't miss them for the day. Gym day tomorrow! Went out this afternoon to see how much foam rollers are. Didn't get one, but I'm eyeing one on amazon & wondering what else I need to get up to the free shipping. Off to take a bath!
  7. Little bit of a workout during our meeting with the trainer Tuesday. I started a side blog on Tumblr to track on also. Laptopcoffeeshape After some discussing with Hubby, we started doing Stronglifts 5X5 today. I got the app on my phone to track that too. Dunno how to do the screenshots from my phone tho. I did good on it. Squats 45lb. (bar only) Bench 45 lb (bar only) and Barbell Rows 65lb (10lb weights on bar) Might hold off on the increases til Monday so I can practice form. The bench was kinda hard to do and keep the bar level the whole way. Looks like I may be ending up in the Warrior guild rather than Adventurers.
  8. I've been doing pretty good on everything this week! Weekends are for sleeping in (right!!?) but since Monday I've been up every morning around 8. I missed vitamins yesterday, but I remembered them all the other days! Went to the gym Sunday night, Tuesday morning (fitness check with trainer), and this afternoon Hubby & I started Stronglifts 5X5. I got the app on my phone. I did good, but hubby bout killed his legs on the squats. I'll probably stick at the start weight until Monday, just so I can get practice on the form before it gets heavy(er). A little sore, but we'll see how I feel tomorrow! Going to the gym counts as doing stuff besides internets. I bought some cute sports bras & short gym shorts (that fit!!!) Tuesday. I bought some regular shorts the other day along with some shirts to turn into doll sewing. (I also collect Ball Jointed Dolls - BJD) Maybe I'll work on the sewing tomorrow? Or maybe the DIY galaxy pattern shorts I want to make.
  9. Hubby decided not to go to the gym with me last night because he was wupped from wrestling with the water heaters. I ended up going by myself & it was fine. I did my thing and nobody even talked to me. I did 10 minutes on the elliptical and about 10 reps on each of the 12 ladies' circuit machines. I figured it was something to do until I have a plan figured out. Looking forward to our appt with the trainer Tuesday.
  10. We're planning on going to the gym tonight. We were going to go this afternoon, but Hubby discovered the water heater was leaking hot water all over the basement. Since the gym location by our house doesn't have showers he wanted to wait until we got the water heater replaced before getting all sweaty at the gym. Other news... I found a couple cute workout shirts at Hot Topic yesterday. I'm wearing the Minecraft Diamond chest one today to the gym. I'm saving the kitten one for Tuesday! Sorry the pics are so dark! It was kind of late when I thought to get photos of the shirts. Update 1: Bought a couple lifting books at B&N. I got The Female Body Breakthrough by Rachel Cosgrove and The New Rules of Lifting for Life. They didn't have the For Women version of the book, but this said for both Men & Women and seemed like the next best thing rather than order online and wait a week. Starting to read the first one while waiting on Hubby & my Dad to finish putting in the water heater & turn the water back on. Also, lady stuff started today. :-[ I heard working out is good for that sort of thing tho!

  12. I play World of Warcraft (both Alliance and Horde) and Minecraft. I have 2 Alliance 100s on Mok'Nathal and a lvl 100 horde Pandaren shadow priest on Silvermoon. I have a ton of alts, I guess I'll see who ends up going to 100 next! Minecraft, I've been playing on BeastsMC creative server for a few weeks. Building things.
  13. Okay! I made my intro post a while back, Hubby & I joined a gym yesterday, and I started my Lvl 1 challenge thread today. Tuesday morning we have an appointment with one of the gym trainers for an exercise evaluation and discuss workout plans & nutrition. Last night we went to the gym to try it out. I did 12 minutes on the elliptical to warm up then tried the weight machine circuit in the ladies' section, about 10 reps or so on each of the 12 machines. Might have more of a workout plan once we talk with the trainer Tuesday.   15. Introduction: Hi, I'm Laurie. I'm 32 years old & I like to make things. I'm starting at about 221 pounds. I've been following Nerd Fitness for a while, but got kinda couch-potato-y after graduating art college last year. Hubby & I are getting back into doing Paleo and just joined a gym yesterday! I have 2 kids, 6 and 4 years old. Main Quest: Lose my "Mom Belly", gain strength, and get down to 155 pounds. Quest 1: Go to the gym 3 days a week, Monday & Wednesday afternoons & Friday morning. Measurement: A = Went all 3 days & followed workout, B = Went all days & worked out or used treadmill/elliptical, C = Went at least 2 days & walked Reward: A = +3 STA, +2 STR, B = +2 STA, +1 STR, C = +1 STA Quest 2: Wake up earlier & go to bed at a reasonable time. Hubby lets me sleep in so by the time I'm wide-awake for the day the kids will be home soon. Then I end up staying up til 1 or 2 am. Measurement: A = Consistent 8am wake up by end, B = 9am wake up consistent, C = 10 am or later consistently Reward: A = +3 WIS, B = +2 WIS, C = +1 WIS Quest 3: Take my vitamins daily. Already working on this, I have a calendar & sticker by the vitamin cabinet to track, but I need to do it more consistently. Measurement: A = 37 days (started a few days late on this challenge); B = 30 days, C = 19 days Reward: A = +3 WIS, +2 CON, B = +2WIS, +1 CON, C = +1WIS Life Quest: Do something besides internet-ing each day. Possibly a project I've been wanting to do, yard work/gardening, or cleaning/organizing the house (I'm a clutter person ) Measurement: A = 37 days, B = 30 days, C = 20 days Reward: A = +2 CHA, B = +1CHA, C = +0.5 CHA Motivation: I want to look better & fit back into my Lolita Fashion clothes. I have lots of sewing, crafting, and other hobby projects I want to do but never get around to doing them. Hubby half-jokingly promised to make me a fur-lined chain-mail bikini if I get all Buff and stuff from weight lifting!
