  2. USPA is the dominant fed out in Nevada?

Yeah. There was a USAPL one here last year but the meet director sold his gym and moved. The USPA also holds their national and IPL world meets here in Vegas, making it super convenient for me.

  3. Is it a 24 hour weigh in or a 2 hour weigh in with USPA? Even with 2 hours, 3lb doesn't seem that tight.

24hr so realistically I can probably get up to around 250-255 and water cut, but I just don't feel like it. I've done it before and 255 Brahwhey is a fat disgusting slob.

  4. Good luck April 23!  I'm interested in the results of lifting every day and eating 2500.

Yeah I know it looks low for someone my size but I've discovered through a lot of trial and error that 2750 is right about my maintenance. I'm pretty sedentary, job and home life wise. My only activity is my lifting (< 1 hr) and my daily dog walk (30-45 min). If I start dropping weight too fast or my lifting begins to suffer, which will be easy to gauge maxing everyday, I'll up the kcals.

  5. I'm the strongest I've been in awhile and figured I might as well not waste the gains and compete before I start to cut. Plan is to do a USPA meet here in Vegas on April 23rd. This puts me about 12 weeks out so this challenge will be part 1 of 3.

    Goals:

    1. Lift Everyday: Continue what I've been doing squatting up to a heavy single and back off sets Mon-Sat. Alternate pressing movements press, incline, bench, and dips daily. Max rep chin-ups Mon-Sat and work up to a max triple deadlift on Sun.
    2. Don't get fat: I'll lift in the 242 class and weigh about 245 right now so I don't have much wiggle room. Track meals and hit macros, roughly P-250, C-200, F-75, Kcal-2,500.

  6. I've been trying to figure out how the fit the deadlift in as well and will probably try this option from Perryman.

For the second option, you’d train it like the squat but at much lower volume, much like Anthony Ditillo suggested. Work up to a medium-heavy, non-grindy triple and call it a day. After squatting you’ll already be warmed up anyway, so it shouldn’t take many sets to get there. On days you pull, you could be more conservative with your squat back-offs, or even do front squats instead.

  7. Nothing exciting to report still squattin, pressin, and pullin daily. Highlight of this morning was max reppin 315 for 8 on da bench. In other news I'm going to try and drop a few of the holiday lbs I've packed on over the last few months. I think this type of training is ideal so time to test this theory.

  8. Still going at it but nothing exciting to report. But I guess that's sort of the point of this type of training. Go in, punch the clock, then leave. On the positive side I'm back to quick warm ups I can go from the bar>135>185>225>275>315>365>405 in five minutes. I was out of the gym this morning in 30 minutes after squats, incline bench, and chin-ups.

  9. I'm going to chill on heavy front squats for a sec. I've been dealing with some nagging shoulder issues that's been causing nerve problems. High bar from now on. Anyhow one week down and things are starting to come along. Soreness is diminishing but warm-ups are still not a quick as they were. Oh and one more thing, I HIT A BODY WEIGHT OHP THIS MORNING!  245 weighing 242. It ties a PR but I was in the 250s last time it happened. This has been five years in the making and I'm beyond fucking stoked. All i could do was smile after I racked the weight. Feels good.

  10. Four days in and feeling it. I wasn't able to get to the gym yesterday morning, my usual time, so I had to go last night. Then to get back on schedule I went this morning. Nine hours rest between sessions is far from ideal.

  11. Whew. That was quite the challenge. Congrats on 36 days!

Thanks. It ended up being fairly easy before the sickness.

Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

    Bro.

    Bruh.

    36 days, DAYUM!

Did you get your flu shot this year?

I'm anti-vax, true natty bro. Don't want to catch none of that autism.

Honestly, I'm just lazy and I paid for it.

  12. Been awhile. Back in November I came up with the idea to try and squat a minimum of 400 lbs for forty days straight. Well I made it to through day 36 before a bout of bronchitis took me out of commission for a few weeks. Nevertheless I survived and what better way to jump back on the horse than New Years. So the challenge is:

    1. Squat every day
    2. Walk the pup every day
    3. Check in this sub every day.
