  1. So I came up with a backstory for my character 'Iceburner' and added it to my character sheet. I want to develop the story and use it as a thread guiding me from challenge to challenge. To be on the safe side I'll post it here as well:
  2. Iceburner

    Juice Bar

Wow, what a challenge! I did pretty well and earned my break between challenges. Thanks to everyone who supported me If you want to read more, please have a look at my thread: I plan to stay with the Rebels and have the next challenge with you. Hope to see many of you again.
  3. Epilogue BAAM!!!... with a final decisive bash Iceburner knocks the Belly Beast to the ground where it lies unable to move. After an exhausting fight that seemed like... err... weeks, the battle is won. Time to give the beast the final blow... But wait, now that it lies before him, breathing heavily Iceburner sees that it seems somehow different... almost changed. While it was more blob-like in the beginning, now it seems to have lost some substance. Yes, while still kind of voluminous it's more... hmm... well shaped? Ok, it's still looks more like a beer keg than a six-pack, but the taint of evil seems to have vanished... Iceburner carefully takes a step closer as the beast slowly opens his eye and looks at him. Awww... look a this puppy eye (wait, that can't be right?... Must be the navel...)... how cute. Maybe he wouldn't need to kill it, he could keep it, train it, make an ally and fight with him side by side? But can he trust this creature? Probably not too much. But right now in this state the Belly Beast is helpless. OK, let's give it a try. He covers it with a T-Shirt and secures it with a leather belt. The Belly does not resist just purrs content. Iceburner quickly prepares a healthy meal which the Belly gobbles up making happy noises: 'Alright, this could really work!', thinks Iceburner:' More healthy food and strict training and I make Beasty Belly out of this Belly Beast.' After feeding the Belly and making sure it fell sound asleep, Iceburner takes a look around at the scene of the battle. His camp where the attack occurred is in disarray. Dumb bells, yoga mats and sweaty clothes are all over the place. Time to clean up. Wait a minute... has this bag been here before? Did it belong to the beast? But how would a beast... nevermind. Iceburner opens the bag and finds some sweet loot: - Hide of the Belly Beast (did it have an extra one? Probably the winter hide), enough to make a training vest, a shirt and new swimming trunks out of it - 4 books on martial arts (glad the Belly didn't read them beforehand) - The captains log (Some adventurer must have used it before, maybe there is some valuable information. I can use the empty pages to log my progress) and - A little wooden box with a clever Kobold inside (Could help to track my food and give me valuable tips, I should keep him? Later that night Iceburner sits by the fire and looks at the stars. 'What a strange and wondrous story I got myself in. I wonder what comes next...' Level UP! 4. Recap of week 4 Subquest 1: To beat the Beast, become the Beast Goal: 6 days a week Done: 5 days a week Rating: B Comment: Yes, I got lazy and confident and skipped a workout on Saturday, because I played computer games ALL DAY LONG! And it felt soo good. Still after all this hard training I think I earned me some gaming so I don't feel bad about this. Subquest 2: Use skills and knowledge Goal: log the food Done: logged breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks every day Rating: A Comment: Logged everything again. Subquest 3: If you don't know what to do, just punch him in the face Goal: Attend Martial Arts training twice a week Done: Tuesday and Friday Rating: A Comment: Did it again. Yes! Even if I had to go to the dreaded Friday training... Life Goal: Level up Goal: Level up in Habitica to Lvl. 79 Done: Leveled up to Lvl. 83 Ratings: A Comment: done also 7/12 bonus key toDos Summary: Apart from the slip up on Saturday I am again super happy and proud. I really worked constantly on my goals and I am back in a good routine. I am looking forward to taking it a bit easier during the week between challenges and probably will also dial it down a notch in the next challenge, since this was really hard also in terms of time management. Thank you all for your support, and special thanks to @zeroh13 and @Wobbegong for making the extra effort of leading this guild. Rebel Mini Boot Camp: achieved Fighter Lvl.10, Elite Cadet!
  5. Wohoo! Wasn't sure if I'll make it until 10, but hard works pays off.
  6. I bought a balance board recently but haven't tried it yet... until today. I used it for a 5 minute warm up before my workout session. Definitely physical and new. It's a start Let's see what else we can do...
  7. So to clarify: - I continue adding 'distance' in the 'Field Training' sheet (until we reach the castle (aka until you tell us not to ) ) - I continue adding minutes to my skills in the 'Skills' sheet - I start adding minutes to the 'Goal (mins)' column in the 'The mission' sheet - I continue having fun, because this Mini rocks! Thanks already for putting so much effort in it Edit: and please correct me if I am wrong on anything written above...
  8. Recap of week 3 Subquest 1: To beat the Beast, become the Beast Goal: 6 beast workouts a week Done: 6 beast workouts a week Rating: A Comment: The daily workouts take their tool on my right shoulder. Rebel Mini Boot Camp: Reached Fighter Lvl. 9 and walked nearly 10km for field training.
  9. Yes, as I understand. It's still freezing cold here, so walking, running, cycling will be a challenge. Well, I guess if I'll put on enough clothes it will be ok... and a scarf... definitively a scarf... and maybe some ski goggles... ok, I exaggerate... a bit
  10. Well at least you have fun at Dog school Maybe the sum of your goals just stressed you out too much so that you didn't achieve them (yet)? Maybe you just need smaller steps for now? For the next challenge you could either try to keep just one of them (e.g. do at least 7k) and add others that might motivate you more. Something seems to keep you from going to the gym, so why not start exercises at home to make you more comfortable. (Or something else more comfortable) For example: I just bought a balance board that I want to use regularly in the next challenge... just to have something new and different...
  11. Added some toDos to the subquest 'Life Goal' Life Goal: Level up Goal: Level up in Habitica to Lvl. 79 Bonus: 12 key toDos Description: To track my habits and ToDos, I use habitica.com. There I am currently Lvl. 77 and want to Lvl. up to 79 which just means I have to work continously on my toDo list to get things done Bonus toDos: 1. make appointment /w dentist 2. make appointment /w hearing care 3. take care of administrative stuff from sweden 4. take care of train discount card 5. cancel swedish phone subsription 6. cancel old membership contract 7. pay online order 8. schedule flight simulator event 9. make Hummus 10. send router back 11. buy NAS 12. recalculate examples from udemy course
  12. Ha! People, fellow Rebels and Challengers: We made it! While we still just have an average Lvl. of 3.06 we have in sum 156 skill points, which means we should be ready for field training! so, lets go!
  13. Get better soon! ...or hopefully you are already. Let us know, when you're good enough to continue the challenge...
  14. Still can't stop smiling thinking about you reading my post and then doing push-ups. ... well anyway. I would come up with more helpful suggestions on what to study, but most of the stuff that I knew is gone. The knowledge I have now is just about enough to follow the jokes on The Big Bang Theory... So... what about week 2 recap?
  15. Yay! Very well done!!!
  16. I don't want encourage lazyness ... but ... god it does feel good to be lazy once in a while! So I can't help myself but liking your post. ... now go get things done!!!
  17. Awesome results this week, Tateman. Keep it up and keep walking
  18. Recap of week 2 Subquest 1: To beat the Beast, become the Beast Goal: 6 beast workouts a week Done: 6 beast workouts a week Rating: A Comment: Technically I did those 6 workouts on 5 days, but damn it I earned this A Subquest 2: Use skills and knowledge Goal: log the food Done: logged breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks every day Rating: A Comment: Logged everything, although twice I added the dinner of the previous eveining the next day, but I never said I would do it immediately after eating. Subquest 3: If you don't know what to do, just punch him in the face Goal: Attend Martial Arts training twice a week Done: Tuesday and Thursday Rating: A Comment: Additionally I attended a 4 hours Wing Chun seminar on Saturday Life Goal: Level up Already done! Ratings: --- Comment: Although I have to say that I announced in the last summary that I'll add some key toDos of my list that I have to tackle in this challenge and I didn't do that yet. So that's not good. Please remind me if I haven't posted anything in the next 24 hours. Summary: Happy again, that everything (and especially I) worked out. 2 more weeks until the big loot! Rebel Mini Boot Camp: thanks to lots of training and the Wing Chun Seminar I achieved Fighter Lvl. 8.
  19. haha, yes, well until I have those legs I will have to go a long way... and I don't know if I want those feet
  20. Ahh, so many good memories when it comes to Karate: No seriously I did Karate myself, but these gifs are just way better.
  21. Well this statistic doesn't look too bad to me. Pretty good actually. 1 strength workout more and 2 hours more of physics and it all would look pretty positive. SO STOP READING THIS! Get down and give me 10 push-ups while reciting the periodic table backwards!! What's that? You don't need that for your studies? 20 more push-ups, go, go, go! ...
  22. Alright, so the first steps are done. Keep on pushing and you'll get what you wanted at the beginning of this challenge.
  23. A lot of green, with shades of yellow and a sprinkle of red. Not too bad for the longest respawn ever. Keep going! ...also, the wedding I attended had a wedding band and they performed 'Run to the Hills' live! It was great!!!
  24. Yes, you should give it a rest. Maybe you find some workout that doesn't need your foot...
