  3. Main Quest: "Iceburner feels the force calling..." Warmed up with the new year, the new city, the new apartement and the new job. But it cost me the focus on my training progress. So this challenge is about getting back into a regular routine. I joined late to the party, but have some 4 weeks to go. Mission 1: "Stamina through persistence" Goal: Continue the "Darebee's "Hero's Journey" Description: I started this workout sequence 2 challenges ago, but couldn't finish it and since then lost quite some momentum and motivation. I managed 38 days of the journey so far so there are 22 days to go. So it is doable. Ratings: A - Completed the "Hero's Challenge" challenge B – complete 18 days C – complete 14 days D – complete 8 days Fail otherwise Reward: TBD Attributes: +1 STR, +3 STA, +1 DEX mission 1 progress (5/22) 22.7%22.7% Mission 2: "Strength through tranquility" Goal: Got access to a nice swimming pool now and I'm willing to use it. Description: The poole is short, not sure how short. But let's just start with 18 lanes and go up by 4 lanes every time I go for a swim. I plan 8 swims for this challenge. This and the new environment needs me to make an extra effort to eat healthy. Food to avoid this challenge: alcoholic beverages, chocolate, pasta and breadSo to sum up: low carb, lots of veggies, high protein, logging, logging, logging. Ratings: A - logged everything (21 meals per week), had no more than 7 units of unhealthy food per week B - logged a lot (19 meals per week), had no more than 10 units of unhealthy food per week C - logged a lot (17 meals per week), had no more than 12 units of unhealthy food per week D - logged a lot (15 meals per week), had no more than 14 units of unhealthy food per week Reward: TBD Attributes: +2 CON, +1 WIS mission 3 progress (24/84) 28.6%28.6% Mission Mini: Join the Jedis Goal: Participate more actively in the mini challenges! 4. Hmmm... well the Skywalkers also had a late start into Jedihood... worked out well for at least one of them. Ok, you got me, I'm in. You're the best, stars! Assign me to whatever side, jedi or sit. I let the force decide....
  5. AAARRRrrrrrghhhh, so my descision to skip a challenge has led to me missing the challenge with the most interesting theme Well I guess I have to wait until the episode VIII hits the big screen... Anyway, initially just wanted to drop by and say hi and good luck to everyone (and happy (chinese) new year, etc. etc.). Sorry it turned into instantaneously complaining. (But I do feel better now ) [edit]: ...and by the way: Hi, and good luck to everyone
  6. Just looking at the outcome, this challenge seems to be a failure. Well, during my challenge I moved to another country and started a new job. So I do not take it as a failure but a challenge with extra challenges. The challenge's life quest went very well and I discovered that I like the shovelglove. Althoguh I didn't perform that well I will continue with it in the next challenge. Same with the Mission to try something new, that I had to postpone. My personal negative in challenge 5 is the slow progress of the Hero's Journey. In 4 weeks I managed 11 days. Not close to my ambition, but I really lost motivation. Nonetheless I want to finish it. So let's recap before continuing: - challenge #4: ----------------------------- 20 days, 2860 points - Christmas and New Year holidays: - 7 days, 1850 points - challenge #5: ----------------------------- 11 days, 2100 points So 38 days with 6810 points in about 3 months...let's continue!

  10. Yep, shovelglove is more fun and doesn't tell you how to progress. Though Hero's journey gives you a lot of variety, some exercises I just don't like. Thanks for checking in by the way. I'm a bit lazy on communication this challenge and it helps if someone shows up and starts the conversation.
  11. week 3: Not too bad, not too bad. Didn't find anything to do a pull-up on yet, so I skipped the mini. Otherwise here are the numbers: Mission 1: 4 Days of the Hero's Quest. Not according to plan, but I feel quite ok about it. Mission 2: 4 times Shovelglove. Love it. Still have to spice it up a bit. Routine gets a bit boring, and there is much variety one can achieve. Mission 3: Had to prioritize other things I had to do. Also it turns out, that my first assignment as consultant will be in another city nearby, meaning that I won't be here most of the weekdays, makes me think that I should do this mission in the next challenge. Live quest: There is still always something to do. And most of time I made quite some effort to do what needed to be done. 217 good points Just one week to go

  13. Summary week 2: I'm behind with keeping track on my missions. Let's try to remember what's happened: I moved to the new apartement and the moving van came on time. I started to unpack and to make a home. There was and still is lots of stuff to do. So I prioritized that over my training and I wasn't that thorough with tracking everything. Mission1: Just two days of the Hero's Journey. I lost motiviation for those exercises somehow, but I want to see it through Mission 2: Shovelglove is fun. I just did 3 sessions, but this could be motivating for quite some time, if I just vary the exercises a bit. Mission 3: I got some more information about the training possibilities near by. I plan to check them out next week and planned the times. Livequest: I did good doing stuff
  14. week 2: Monday: Mission 1: - Day 33 - Journey to the Mountain - 100p + 300p Mission 2: - Mission 3: - Life Quest: - moved boxes from transporter to new apartement (20p), assembled new couch (8p), unpacked at least 4 boxes (60p), other stuff (7p) mini #2: Tuesday: Mission 1: - Mission 2: - Shovelglove !!!! 15. Summary week 1: Mission 1: I played 4 more days of the Hero's Journey. Not too bad considering that I had to pack and move to another country Mission 2: Unfortunately I couldn't take my Shovelglove to Stockholm and when I came back to Germany I decided to do move the first training session to next week in the new apartement. Mission 3: Haven't tried anything new yet, but looking forward to do something next week in the new city. Life Quest: - Here I scored 565 points! Yay me!!! I was very busy with the move, so that gave me a lot of points. But also the reading part gave me some points mini #1: not too bad, not too bad. I participated up to the diamond push-ups and I definitively see progress over the last months. Since there were quite some push-up exercises in mission one, my arms constantly felt tired.

  20. Main Quest: "Finish it, start again..." New Year, new city, new apartement, new job, new challenge. There are a lot of new things this year. Mission 1: "Finish up the year" Goal: (Nearly) Finish "Darebee's "Hero's Journey" Description: I started this workout sequence in my last challenge, but couldn’t finish it. Didn’t expect to, since it contains 60 workout days and as we know the 6-week challenge has a maximum of 42. Anyway, I managed just 20, and continued a bit over the Holidays. There are still plenty of days to go. 32 to be precise, which I am able to finish if I do a few double workout days. But I won‘t be to hard on me if I don’t, since there is plenty other stuff to do!
