  1. challenge #3! wheeee hooooo!

    1. Luciana Valerosa Culming

      Luciana Valerosa Culming

      You are alive :)

I was a little worried, you wouldn't join in this challenge because of stress and an enourmus work load. Did the move go well?

  2. WAIT, WHAT, NO THEME? WTH? I mean I could run with the title Marty but to be honest I'm a little overwhelmed and not by a flux capacitor and/or almost make out sessions in the past with my mom. I hit a life goal in June. I mean, like a HUGE CRAZY AWESOME RAD CONFETTI across the country move from Floriduh to Oregon life goal. I mean epic doesn't even begin to explain the epic but for lack of a better vocabulary I'll leave the adjective choice at that one. The only super bummer part of all of this random fantastical is that I failed miserably at all of my other goals and pretty much abandoned ship like a drunken scurvy pirate that just saw a floating orange last challenge. But alas, I failed like A CHAMPION and I forgive myself because SELF LOVE! Hooray! ANYWAY I big heart missed you guys and am trying to establish more normalcy in my schedule, diet, and stuffs. I don't know if you can imagine this but since June I've gone from living from alligators and almost dead people to living with beavers (I think there are beavers here at least) around people who you can tell just from looking at them that they probably have a pulse, urban camping style sleeping on an air mattress without half of my family in an empty apartment to having the squishiest marshmallow bed and furniture to share with all of my reunited loved ones, not even having a movie theatre locally to having lots to choose from to do including a movie theatre THAT YOU CAN EAT AND DRINK BEER AT, plus the option of being able to basically reinvent myself however I want to. SOUNDS GREAT HUH? Well maybe? When I first got here I went to the great local gym and went for a walk with my tiniest human everyday. We threw the basketball around at the gym court. I even went to yoga at said local gym. I didn't really like the yoga there but whatever, yoga is yoga and yoga is amazing even if you don't really like the flow. Then my husband got here and ALL ANARCHY BROKE LOOSE. Namely beer anarchy. And coffee anarchy. The beer and coffee out here is AMAZING. And so is the food. Bonus is that there are paleo/gluten free options at every step and that I've stayed away from fast food completely so I haven't completely torched that bridge. But did I mention beer? Because beer. And it is so good and literally everywhere, which isn't good at all for me. Another semi-negative thing too - we got a 60 inch television. It's not really a like TV, it is more like a wall with hugetastical pictures that talk violently at you. I don't really like to watch TV to be honest because boring but gaming? Yassss. I've gotten into Elder Scrolls online again since it went to console and that is just a minor distraction and by minor distraction I mean all afternoon usually until I decide it is nap time because sitting playing video games is naturally to be followed up with laying down doing nothing with my eyes closed. XD Oh and PS: my gamer tag is cholachick if you want to add me if you play ESO. I'm leveling a bosmer nightblade in the aldmeri dominion and play DPS. Not that I've ran any dungeons yet because I'm only a level 12. Or you could add me if you play Destiny. I like pvp and I like everything else except for their version of dungeoning because long and yawn and not rewarding at all. Or you could just add me to glance upon the ME N7 uniform on my avatar, it's casual. I play ESO and Destiny on xbox one but I also have 360 where I play the Dragon Age series and I have the L4D series as well if you like killing zombies and stuff. SO WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO ABOUT ALL OF THAT? THE WHOLE BEER/COFFEE/GAMING MESS? It's time for basics again. Making good habits happen. I found this amazing yoga studio that is way more challenging than my last studio, which is exciting and horrifying at the same time. After yesterday's hour and a half session my body is sore. I haven't ever been sore from yoga and it makes me pretty happy. And bizarre enough I've lost more weight, it's totally unfracking believable. I haven't gone completely slug like yet but the possibility is there. And quitting the gaming isn't going to happen at all. Probably never. But I won't allow it to get in the way of my goals anymore. I should have remembered Diablo 3 and the chaos that caused but the hamster only turns the wheel so fast upstairs. BUT ONWARD! If my calculations are correct, when this baby hits 88 miles per hour you're going to see some serious shit! CHALLENGE #1 BECOMES CHALLENGE #3 Main Quest: To wear a size 7 again. This hasn't changed. It's constant like traffic or a mantra or the way I have to keep feeding my children else they'll take me to jail or something. I think I fit in about a 9/10 right now but don't quote me on that. I'm quite close to the size 7 happening I think. I'll firm that up once I find pants I like. The struggle is REAL. This will happen by: #1 Go to the gym 3x a week to lift. No matter what. With or without my husband. It's all about me. Here is the world revolving around my head. And I want to squat over my PR of 135. Maybe my body weight. We shall see. That is like a sub goal and all I truly care about is the goal itself. #2 Drinking only 1x a week. Ok, so this is different than challenge #1 but paleo and gluten free has pretty much stuck with me no problem. And if things were completely the same it would be too boring. I wish I could say with confidence that I could completely quit the drinking but it really isn't realistic and I really kind of don't want to. I'm an adult damn it *holds up voter registration card*. #3 Get to yoga x2 a week. The only thing that makes me weird about yoga is that I have to park our truck in the cityish area downtown and it's big and clunky and parallel parking frightens me the same way that kisses from paper lipped old grandmas do. It's really no excuse at all because I have to learn eventually how not to drive like a 5 year old on a big wheel. Life Quest: Find a job. It doesn't have to be my forever job but it must not stress me and it must make me happy in some capacity. And I've accepted that I hate math enough not to care about percentages and points and things like that as rewards. I would be terrible at table gaming. My reward will be abs or something? I don't know. XD IN CONCLUSION Your future hasn't been written yet. No one's has. Your future is whatever you make it, so make it a good one. - Doc Brown I have lots of weird stories to tell and great random products to recommend. This will happen for sure during what I hope to be weekly updates but for now I'm going to spend the last of my pre-challenge debauchery wisely by gaming while pouring hot chocolate into my mouth hole. Love you all! <3 <3 <3 <3 <3
  3. is mrs. slinky lizard mc yogapants hot enough? might need a little tweeking. XD
  4. magnum black espresso sounds like the best male stripper name EVER.
  5. Totally will! Sent from my SM-N900V using Tapatalk
  6. @BerBer I promised the tiny that we would try and hit the Saturday Market when we got in (sometime after 12) and then do the zoo Sunday but if your car is being a brat and I am shuffling around the mini person no worries. I'll be back into town within a week when the husband rolls into Oregon. And many many times after this too! SO SQUEEEEEEEE!!! Sent from my SM-N900V using Tapatalk
  7. @spookyfoot Wow, I didn't even yeehaw - I yeehooed so that IS a big huge deal. ⤠Totally understand your stance on the social media, I have taken big breaks at times because of the stress I've felt from it. I'll still be on and off here admiring all of the awesome you commit on a daily basis. XD Sent from my SM-N900V using Tapatalk
  8. LOL The above just about summarizes my challenge performance this week. Butt stuff training happened on Saturday and some basic yoga/HIIT things have occurred here and there but otherwise I've been a moving mofo. Unfortunately I don't think that this trend is going to change anytime soon either because SATURDAY I FLY INTO PORTLAND YA'LL!!!!! YEEEHOOOO!!!!! I am so excited. Life quest COMPLETED, achievement UNLOCKED. XD Concerning my #2 though (hee hee), I am really glad that past Jenni had the mystical foresight to not put grades and maths and points into this challenge because I am pretty sure that present Jenni is going to be busy. Future Jenni is going to have to look towards challenge #3: THE OREGONIAN RESET to get back into a steady groove of solid daily fitness habits. I have zeroed in on a yoga studio and a gym for when we hit Salem (planning on spending a few days in Portland before getting to our new home) but I doubt I'll be going until the husband joins us. He's going to be wrapping up work then taking an across nation driving tour with our oldest while the tiniest human and I set up shop. So really I don't deserve any fanning for my perfect hair or furniture climbing or anything unless you want to celebrate me putting things into boxes, pushing said boxes around, making furnishings disappear, taking poor Hedwig to the vet to get molested so that we can drug her during the flight that I booked, or making lots of phone calls/emails happen. OFF NOTE I managed to go shopping and buy some new TOMS to replace some of my flip flops and had the pleasure of discovering (by buying fun new clothes) that I am somewhere between sizes 11/12 and 9/10 now. SOOOO close to a size 7/8. The one thing I have been able to control is my food and I'm still doing a pretty solid job on staying paleo. CONFETTI TO THAT! OFF OFF NOTE If anyone wants to follow our adventures more personally message me where to find you on Facebook or Instagram. I would big heart to be friends because I big heart all of you. I'm a way bigger fan of NF than either of these social media outlets but 1. I post pictures on them and 2. I am not sure how much time for word writing I'll have in the coming days. NOW GO FORTH AND SET THE WORLD ON FIRE! MUAH!
  9. Maybe it's just my luck with the variety offered at our grocery store? Every single tea there by Yogi seems to make licorice happen. It's pretty unfortunate. Caramel tea sounds delightful though. XD Sent from my SM-N900V using Tapatalk
  10. Yogi has a chocolate mint mate kind but Yogi seems to want to put licorice root into all of their blends and I can always taste it over all the other flavors. Tea artisan? We should just call them tea putter together people or TPTPs. That's much more fun. Sent from my SM-N900V using Tapatalk
  11. Aw. I hope the soap didn't melt! Sent from my SM-N900V using Tapatalk
  12. You gym beast! Great job on your huge circuit!!!! I drink peppermint tea. I want to try this etsy brand called Flying Bird Botanicals named Twilight Mint. All of their cacao drinks and teas sound delightful. I don't consume caffeine because it gives me the crazies and they have lots of decaf options it seems. I can drink Yerba Mate tea and be ok. Those don't make me weird or jittery. Yerba Mate Chocolate is good and kind of spicy.
  13. Aw, thanks so very much - it means loads. It's so hard when your brains know not to be sad about the dumb thing that threw up all over you but your feels want you to be. Stupid feely feels of feelness. XD
