  1. I pretty much stopped playing once all the pokestops stopped working for passengers. We don't walk around much, so hitting them while we're driving was our only option for the most part, and now they don't work and pokemon don't spawn. No point in opening the app.
  2. I'm on my way back to the same deployed location as last time I posted about this, but I'm starting over as far as how many I can do because I had surgery in July and a few injuries since then to top it off. I'll get it back, though.
  3. I disappear from these boards for months at a time, so I'm just now seeing this parkour business as I'm on my way to the other side of the world for a deployment. I'd like to try it when I come back! Can I still be in the fb group?
  4. I would say to try each one and see what works for you. I can't train fasted because I will pass out.
  5. Websites like The Clymb and Active GearUp usually have good sales.
  6. I loved almost everything about it. It annoyed me that Eleven's mouth was open constantly and she had the nerve to call other people mouthbreathers.
  7. Welcome! Feel free to look around and ask questions in some more specific threads for best results. Sounds like you're doing great so far!
  8. Welcome! Please feel at home here. Put your feet up on the table. Nobody is judging you. It helps to create a specific goal with a timeframe. Steve has multiple articles with tips for staying on track. The website doesn't work as well for me while I'm at work, or I'd pass along some links. I'll try to grab some when I get home! Poke around in some of the other threads that pertain to your goals to get a good idea of workouts and meals.
  9. After surgery, you'll only be able to walk around for about a month. You'll want to start easy after that, listen to you body and don't push yourself while you're still healing. Here's a bulking guide you might find helpful. https://www.nerdfitness.com/blog/2013/07/17/a-skinny-guys-guide-to-building-muscle-and-bulking-up/
  10. Not gonna lie, I skipped a lot of this thread. Late to the thread, but not to the game. Team Instinct! Currently lvl 24 w/ Ivysaur as my buddy and I have to walk 3km for 1 candy. Not cool. I don't play as vigorously as I used to, but I still crack the app open multiple times per week. I don't battle much. I was saving up for a bag upgrade because I refuse to spend money on the game, but I accidentally bought a lucky egg while I was mowing the lawn and now I'm down to 40 gold and I'm mad.
  11. Sounds like we need a support group for those of us with "swimmers shoulders"...
  12. I got some boobies installed and now I can't do any pull ups. Back to square one.
  13. I made it as far as 12 13 10 10 15 and I seemed to keep struggling with it, so I just kept doing it. I haven't done any push-ups since I was at the other base, so I'm not sure where I'm at with them now. I feel like I lose strength so quickly, it's very discouraging.
  14. Thank you for the encouraging words, all. I guess I just need to take some time to think about how to adapt here. I may have to just put pull-ups aside for a few weeks, since that's the one giving me the most trouble. Such a bummer! I was doing really well!
  15. Alright, so I haven't actually had a chance to update. Small tidbit here, my anxiety is high at the moment and I am debating dropping out of this 6-week challenge. I have moved bases and I'm back to 12 hour shifts and they changed my shift to nights, so I don't even know how my body will react to having just traveled between countries and flip-flopped my sleep schedule...I should be exercising right now, but I can't seem to motivate myself to get going. I still have to shower and eat before work, and everything is so far apart, it takes quite some time to walk everywhere. I don't know if I'll have the time to fit everything in, so of course I haven't tried...that and everyone stares here. I'd have to do my pull-ups in the gym, or clear on the other side of the base, neither of which seem like viable prospects for either my anxiety or my schedule. I was previously running and doing pull-ups at night where no one was around, and push-ups and planks were done in my room. I hate feeling like this. I hate people. I just want to be left alone. Any time I have worked out in this gym in the past, I have been asked to move or told what I'm doing wrong. I'm ok with being corrected, but that means someone is always watching me. I hate being watched! I believe I have successfully sat on my bed (dressed and ready to go, of course) for long enough that I can abandon exercise. My husband called me a lazy butt for considering dropping the challenge, but it has nothing to do with laziness and everything to do with stress.
  16. Goodness, I didn't see all these replies. I suppose I should update this thread! I'll have a chance later today.
  17. I thought Skyla was making me gain weight too, so I joined a fitness challenge at my gym and learned that I was just eating poorly lol
  18. I have the Skyla, which is the smallest of the IUDs and has the least amount of hormones of the IUDs with hormones. I've had it for a year now and only had spotting this month. Cramps still occur, but they feel different. They were quite painful for a while, which is normal. This month I only felt sick for 2 days. Skyla is a 3-year. Ever since getting it I have not even had enough flow to use my yuuki, so I just use a small cloth pad whenever I feel like it might be about to start. For a long time I felt like I was going to get it removed because the cramps were awful and I was having mood swings, but everything has really calmed down in the last few months and I feel fine.
  19. This is my gym's new video!
  20. It tasted much better when I first started drinking it, but I'm a slow drinker so by the end I just had to hurry up and finish it before it got too warm and it was tough!
  21. Verdict is BX does not sell the floss I like. I didn't want to buy any floss because I'm pretty sure I have some with me somewhere. I did get my push-ups and planks in (per my challenge) and I had to get 100xp on duolingo today since it completely slipped my mind yesterday. This challenge is off to a good start!
  22. The drive from Brentwood to Maryville is roughly the same as mine (depending on traffic)
  23. I added you, gaboloth. My husband is trying to learn Italian!
