Steve has been a bit busy with his book! I pre-ordered mine already

I have been that person, and I know many people that constantly say they want to lose weight or they are unhappy, but also unwilling to make the change. I think it comes down to that individual's determination. I can tell people until I'm blue in the face what they're doing wrong and how to fix it, but until they REALLY DECIDE and not just "say" they want to lose weight, it's not going to work. I know it's frustrating.

I still have the same goals as my first challenge, so it won't be much different. I already know I will be running into issues since I will be packing up and moving to a few places in the midst of this, but I will do my best! For this reason, also, I will not be making this fancy. I'm active duty Air Force and currently deployed, but I would like to achieve a 100% on my next PT test upon my return to home station! In order to do that I need to run the 1.5mile in ≤10:51 and be able to do ≥46 push-ups in 1 minute. I always max out my sit-ups and waist measurement, so I'm really just focused on the running and push-ups. main quest - complete mock PT test consisting of push-ups and 1.5 mile run + gauge progress made from end of last challenge (10-28-15 1.5mi - 12:30 31 push-ups) quest uno - follow the hundred push-ups program (3 days per week) STR CON A- +3 STR +2 CON B- +2 STR +1 CON C- +1 STR quest dos - perform interval sprints (3 days per week) DEX A- +3 DEX B- +2 DEX C- +1 DEX quest tres - follow the 20 pull-ups program (3 days per week) CHA A- +3 CHA B- +2 CHA C- +1 CHA quest cuatro - follow the 30 Day Plank Challenge (5-6 days per week) STA A- +2 STA B- +1 STA C- +.5 STA My life quest is changing because I realized I have been neglecting my language learning and I really want to keep up with it. life quest - earn 50xp in Spanish every day WIS A- +2 WIS B- +1 WIS C- +.5 WIS Humbled by the Bod Pod®. Is there an official Rangers facebook group? I'm in a group for Chicago NF people already, but one for Rangers would be pretty sweet.

The Cold Ass Viking Challenge
Nedwin replied to Reindeer's topic in Guilds, Clubs, Adventure Parties, and PVPs
I'm almost done with the challenge, but I will most likely continue. I didn't even realize our building didn't have hot water the other day until some of the other guys complained about it. Win! -

Making myself go to the gym
Nedwin replied to mviel's topic in Rebel Introductions and the Respawn Point
You're doing great so far! Nobody would give you a second look if you had your cane, I don't think. Everyone is in the gym for the same reason and that is to improve themselves. -
Charizard Used Flamethrower!
Nedwin replied to LuxCharizard's topic in Rebel Introductions and the Respawn Point
Hello! There are a good few of us active duty and retired military here, if you have any questions! -
I bet the sorting hat would place you with the Assassins, Ducki

That answers my question of why I kept seeing new people with only a couple posts with badges already. I was under the assumption that it was something you had to earn in some way.
-
Oh, dang! I can do it myself?! *sings* The more you know!
-
When do I get my nifty ranger badge? Do I need to officially start a challenge first?

Rest well, Bruce! I lost my gorgeous pleco recently to my Oscars, those fiends! His name was Plecky. The Oscars don't have names beyond The Fat One/The Big White One, and The Black One. We have another tank of mollies, guppies, crabs, some other things....I can't remember since I haven't been home for months. We had a lot more cool things in that little tank that died when the heater broke. There's also a Chinese algae eater in with the Oscars, but he grew up with them so they leave him alone. We had 2 cat rescues but gave one cat to a friend when his cat died of old age (they looked similar and had similar personalities). Her name was Avi but we called her Fatty and that's what she responds to. The cat we still have, her name is Aeris but we only call her Fluffy and that's what she responds to. She's very fluffy and we are good at naming things. We have 2 rescue dogs (from Craigslist...from different people at different times) and we let them keep their names since they already knew them. Charlie is a black lab/dachshund mix and Lilly is a golden retriever/basset hound mix. We raise mealworms for Oscar food and would get into rabbitry (for food) if we didn't leave for the weekend so frequently.

What aspect of it are you having issues with? -
Welcome, welcome. I was homeschooled for much of my youth and I have crunchy and flexitarian tendencies. Raised Whovian (and Baptist, for the religious side of things) and I tinker on piano and guitar. I've never been diagnosed with insomnia, but I do struggle to fall asleep and stay asleep. Look at all these things we have in common! Haha

If there was a good kickboxing or Muay Thai gym near me, I would definitely do that. As it is I drive 30 minutes to my boxing gym. It's so much more fun to me than a big box gym!

Hello! From A Friendly BubbleNinja!
Nedwin replied to TheBubbleNinja's topic in Rebel Introductions and the Respawn Point
Hey there! Sorry I don't really have any suggestions for your crazy schedule, but I recall someone on the board who owns their own business who fits it in while she's at work. Some squats here, some calf raises there. Something is better than nothing! -
