  1. Miniquest #2 = completed!! Part 1: I kind of like the simple signature. I don't think I really want to add anything else. Maybe later. Part 3: I've done this already too I'm following three people right now, but if anybody likes what they see here, or has help for me, I'll follow your challenges too So far I'm following Assassin Kitten on board (marina_na_kapina) and Participation without Perfection (ABlessing) So there's that
  2. I love your challenge name! You've got this! Also, cosplaying is a motivation for me too. I hate eating healthy but I should. I want to do yoga too! Keep going. Never give up. All that jazz!
  3. Update: Last night I did something a little bit different. I went over to my campus workout room and hopped on the bike and elliptical. I'm frantically studying for finals, so I was studying while pedaling. So, that was nice. Haha I've been eating fairly good. Not great, but better than I have for a while I'm trying to finish whatever is in my dorm before I have to move but I bought a bunch of fruit/veggies. So yay There's that. Oh, also, to prepare myself to start parkour I've been jumping down the last 2/3 stairs as I walk to/from classes. Haha a lot of people have been looking at me strange
  4. Hey no biggie Perfect score next time, right? Plus you can't control getting sick. Don't worry! Keep trying, and just don't quit!
  5. This is great! It's like you're doing all the digging and planning for me I'm gonna hang out on your topic a lot and try to follow you! hope you don't mind
  6. hey thanks! That website is perfect! I've been trying to find something like that thanks again!! I'm going to use that for today.
  7. Hey guys! I think I might belong with this group Great challenge! Hope it's going well Let's do this!!
  8. Way to go! Sounds like an intense challenge. But you can do it!! Good luck!
  9. Cool! Thanks guys so much You guys are all great update: I did ok last week. Nothing great. I didn't quite hit any of my goals, but I came close! This is harder than I thought! New week though, and new time to try!! It's so inspiring to read everyone's challenges and see how they're doing Keep it up everyone!! I'll update more tomorrow (or maybe tonight. Who knows)
  10. Update: So I spent at least an hour at the climbing gym on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. It wasn't very productive on Wednesday cuz I pushed way hard on Tuesday and kinda hurt my arm Nothing major, I don't think, it's just really sore and is opposed to being used. Both Wednesday and Thursday I ate much better than normally! I spend some time preparing a whole bunch of foods so I can just throw them together. Granted, they are mostly rice and microwavable veggies, but while I finish up my semester in my dorm I'm pretty limited. Lol. Soda did happen yesterday, but only because I got a migraine. That's pretty common for me, and the only thing I've found that helps is to drink a whole bunch of caffeine (Rockstar, Monster, Nos, etc). Not an ideal fix, but a fix nonetheless. So... I'm not considering this a yes or a no. I've made a Google doc where I can record my progress and see how much I've done. I also incorporated a small budget so I can work on my life goal! Also, my rock climbing membership expired and I'm too close to moving to renew it. Does anybody have some good body weight work outs for extreme newbies??
  11. NIce! I love your life quest. I may have to adopt that Smart idea!
  12. I feel ya there! It should be so easy, but it's just not!!
  13. Ok so update so far. Yesterday I went to the Rock Haus, the climbing gym near my house, and climbed for 1.5 hours. I totally pretended like I was a ninja and was hopping around working hard! It totally worked I bouldered a new 300 r (I've only done one before) on my first try! I then top-roped a little bit more and attempted a pull up It didn't work, but I gotta start somewhere!! I didn't get my two square meals... I got 1 in and the other.. not so much I did the mini-quest 1! So that's completed!! Is your overall quest achievable (over a short or long period of time)? Is it reasonable? I think so! I gained that much weight in 2 weeks, so I should be able to lose it in 6 Do your 3 quests all build towards your main quest in little ways, or are you taking on too much? Do your quests have sub-quests or is it just one thing to focus on? Yes! All of them are just small changes to what I'm already doing. Really, I tried to start super small so I wouldn't just quit. Are your main goals realistic? Can you scale them to smaller steps to fit your life better, even if it will make it take a little longer to achieve them? I can't go any smaller without just not doing anything. Lol. Are your goals able to be measured and tracked? What will you use to track them? I'm currently working on building some kind of googleDoc that will allow me to update how much I have done. Right now it's mostly a "yes/no" chart for each question for each day, but I'm thinking of switching the work out one to include what I've done, how much, and what I am proud of for that day to remind myself I'm doing good. How are you grading your goals? Are they pass/fail (“every dayâ€, “not even once over the six weeksâ€)? Is there a reward for the effort, or are you only grading yourself on whether or not you “lose the weight†or “run the distanceâ€? Well.. See above What is your plan for continuing/altering/grading those goals if you become ill or injured? In this case I'm going to eliminate the physical portion and just focus on my diet. Did you take into consideration any special occasions (Labour Day, Independence Day, birthdays, anniversaries, etc) that may occur during the challenge? What modifications do you need to build into your goals for those? One possible issue I foresee is my wedding right in the middle of this challenge. (May 9th). But I think it'll still be ok. I don't see why this would screw me up except for the exercise 4 times a week, and then I'll just have to make an effort to go to the work-out room like once while at the hotel. Do any of your main goals conflict with each other? Will one goal make it hard to do another? Nope. Do you already have the time in your schedule to actually complete the goals you’ve set? If not, what are you planning to do to make time for them? I do! Are you trying to build multiple habits, or is all your energy focused on your main quest? Mostly on my main quest, but a little bit on being better with money and general time management. I'm going to modify my part 3 on my quest a little bit after looking at that. My new plan is for the first two weeks: 2 soda is allowed (1/week). For the second 2 weeks, 1 soda is allowed. For the last two, none. I don't drink a lot of soda as is, so I think that will be a good way to just watch how much I want it and mostly focus on not doing it.
  14. Been there with the injury! (though not as bad. I'm just lazy lol). You got this! Great cat pics p.s. Very inspiring!
  15. Way to go!! Awesome goals Good luck! We're here to support you!
  16. @mckeedm Thanks!! I actually posted again, cuz my internet crashed right as i posted this, so I thought it was gone!! Here is my new post that I'll update http://rebellion.nerdfitness.com/index.php?/topic/63598-brianne-of-terths-first-challenge/ Whats yours so I can keep up with you??
  17. Hahahaaaa and I already misspelled my tag... Awkward.
  18. Ok so play on words with my username. My real name is Brianne, and while I may not be the size of Brienne, I'm no pixie either. I've joined and deactivated my NerdFitness account 2 or 3 times but I'm VERY excited to make it stick this time!! My main quest will be to lose 15 lbs. To do this, I've decided to 1-work out 4 days a week for at least an hour (not hard when rock climbing) 2- eat at least 2 real meals a day (no more cadbury eggs for lunch!) and 3- by the end of the 6 weeks, I want to be drinking no sodas. My side quest is to budget better by saving $50 per month. This kinda goes along with the no soda thing. It's so expensive!! My motivation is to look good for my wedding (May 9th!!) and to be able to go on adventures with my future husband (Garrett). Right now, I go rock climbing 2-3 times a week. I'm pretty hesitant about pushing myself because I'm rather clumsy and I don't want to look dumb. But I also REALLY want to be an Assassin, so this is the time! This is where I'm going to change it!
  19. Lol so many cool people have already joined the teams!! Woot!! Ok so my name is Brianne. I have signed up for Nerd fitness 2 or 3 times, but always found excuses to get out. NO MORE!!! My Main Quest is to lose 15 pounds. I have a wedding coming up (May 9th)!! I kept pretending like I was going to be fine, but I have decided I want to look WAY good in that dress, and I want to be able to go on more adventures with my future husband To do this, my goals are to 1-work out 4 days a wekk for at least 1 hr. 2- Eat at least 2 real meals a day (no more Cadbury eggs for lunch. Even scrambled, they do not count as real food.) and 3- By the end of these 6 weeks I don't want to be drinking ANY soda. I love rock climbing. It's the only form of exercise I don't cringe at, although that may be because I'm too out of shape to do other things. Lol. I want to join the Assassins after the Recruit challenge, so I'm going to be spending a lot of time at the climbing gym, and doing yoga to limber up. I'm kind of a wuss when it comes to trying new things, but I want to ramp that up. Any ideas of fun (and cheap...) forms of exercise, I'd love to hear them!! I'm super stoked for this challenge Let's kick some butt!!
