  1. I suppose I should give an update of my progress. Week 5 was much the same as the previous weeks, with the exception of my logging being totally on point. I should thank Iceburner for that, since I was introduced to HabitRPG and that has kept me on track with my logging. I did replace one of the bodyweight workouts with a 3 mile hike up the local mountain. Was lovely and I should do it more often. And for the actual BBWW, I am now doing 2 sets of push ups, girl-style. It is a struggle (oh, what an understatement) but I am proud of myself for the progress I've made. I hope everyone else is doing great as well!
  2. This recipe is a favorite of mine. I make sure to double it since it always goes fast. Soy Citrus Scallops with Soba Noodles. I've made it with shrimp instead of scallops a few time (when scallops are dear) and it tastes just as good. Could probably sub with chicken as well.
  3. Ok, this isn't really an update, but more of a completely unrelated rant... I took my little guy to see the Avengers 2, which was a good movie but... Please don't click unless you've actually seen the movie, I don't want to spoil anything. Ok, had to get that off my chest. Looking forward to the next Avengers movie!
  4. Hey, half of a pull-up is awesome progress! Keep it up!
  5. Week 4 status report... Doing good on logging and water as usual. As far as the BBWW goes... I've also moved to "girl" push-ups, rather than on my bedframe like I had been doing. I know that's still not anywhere near a real push-up (I tried one of those. Going down to the ground was fine, pushing myself back up was not.) but I'm pleased with what I see as progress. Also holding my plank 30 seconds now. Yay, progress. Maybe I'll make the push up my goal for the next 6 week challenge. Also, I joined Habitrpg. So I'm really enjoying leveling my little character. So satisfying to click off on a task now. Very motivating. I also lost a bit more weight. I have less than a 1/2 lb before I reach my main challenge goal!
  6. Omg, that habitrpg website is effective. I just drug myself out of bed because I remembered that I hadn't completed all of my dailies.
  7. Ok, so I did my first workout of the week (I know, super late) yesterday. I have to modify my pushups, since from the ground would net me exactly 0 pushups. Not exactly the multiples of 10 I'm looking for. I ended up doing the pushups on a folding chair braced against the wall. Was kinda rickity and I had to stabilize myself a lot more than normal. Today, my triceps are killing me. So sore and painful, but chest and biceps feel just fine. What is up with that? Was it the rickity chair?
  8. Ok, so Mini Quest 4... Goal allocation: Q1: Workout twice a week = 3 STR / 3 DEX Q2: Drink 60 oz. of Water a day = 2 CON Q3: Log meals in MFP at least 5 days a week = 2 WIS Mid Challenge Summary: Q1: Workout twice a week = Pass Q2: Drink 60 oz. of Water a day = Pass Q3: Log meals in MFP at least 5 days a week = Pass Signature Updated!
  9. I'll join. Username is the same, Bookwormdee. User Id should be bdeb50b8-ce20-47ec-8280-44bf2048763b
  10. Oh, boy. I can sympathize. I do this, especially for baked goods. I have to just not buy them at all. Like Steve said, I consider that a boss battle I'm too low a level to survive. Other than the snack binge, sounds like things are going pretty good.
  11. What's Mooyah? Sounds like a super yummy shake.
  12. Mini Quest #3 Complete!
  13. Little late, but what the hell... Mini Quest #3 So your challenge for this week has 3 parts: 1. Pinpoint the quest in your journey that is giving you the most uphill (or one that you're struggling to achieve) As I mentioned in the accountabilibuddies group, my challenge is lunch on school days. I am bored with my lunch and often toss it, in favor of junk at the cafeteria. I know! Not even decent junk, just gross average cafeteria food. 2. Search through NF (forums or articles) to find one that is able to offer some assistance I actually reached out to my accounta... you know, that's a lot to type. I'mma just say my buddies group. So I just reached out to my buddies group and they had quite a lot of good suggestions (including stop taking money with me. No money, no lunch). But the mini quest specifically mentioned using NF to find resources. So I found this thread that also had a few good suggestions. 3. Apply it to your challenge (no collecting underpants here). I'm planning on using the mini quiche recipes this week as a breakfast and lunch type thing, and possibly the egg salad that Swatches suggested. (if you can't tell, I love me some eggs.
  14. Week #3! Big thanks to all my buddies, for keeping me on the straight and narrow path (or maybe the shadowy and twisted path is more appropriate) As far as my week 3 mini quest, I've found a few resources online, and by online, I really mean Pintrest. Ah, Pintrest, where spare hours go. I've wrote down a few recipes, especially ones provided by my fellow future assassins (and rangers). So I feel well prepare to go into week 4 actually looking forward to eating my lunch. As far as my goal are concerned, I am doing well on the water and logging. 7/7 for the water, and 6/7 for the logging. As far as the workouts go... This may be TMI, so click below at your own risk. Also, progress. Down 4 lbs total now, and another .5 off my waist. Just need 1 more lb and .5 more inches and I've met my (novice) goals. So, yay! Week 3, over. Level 1, obtained! Now to decided how to distribute my points!
  15. This week, I really only went by B_ex's advice and just didn't bring money with me. No money, no food I didn't bring. But thanks everyone for the recipes and suggestions. I am already plotting (plotting is such a lovely word, isn't it?) to incorporate them into week 4 lunches.
  16. I'm not sure about the sensation of castration, so I'll just edge around that one... I think I really do eat the same thing every day. A wrap or sandwich with carrots and something else. Usually some sliced fruit or an egg. God, no wonder I'm bored eating that. I'm bored just typing that. I've looked a bit, but I'm not really into low-carb, so it's not been not as helpful as I would wish. I've been looking into bentos since I would prefer to take my lunch, rather than buy junk. And those look so appetizing!
  17. Good job on getting back up on that horse! I think I try to procrastinate myself out of my workouts, until I get mad and tell myself to snap out of it. I agree, the accountabilibuddy group is a huge motivator. I'd sure hate to let you guys down!
  18. Alright guys, for mini quest 3, I might need some help. A big problem for me is that I get bored. With lots of things, but it's true that by week 3 I'm already bored with my meals. (Workout is still good, since it's still challenging) I pack my lunch for school, however I find that when lunchtime actually comes, I look at my lunch with disgust and go off to buy fast food and soda. Rather than eat the healthy lunch that I took the time to make and bring with me! WTELF is that about? I mean, what a waste. Does anyone have any suggestions for me? Do a Julie and Julia thing with my lunch each time, to mix it up?
  19. As far as progress goes, feeling a lot less like dying sounds like faint praise, but in actuality is a huge step forward. Nicely done!
  20. Oh boy, your anniversary dinner sounds amazing. Plus a romantic walk afterwards, nice. Too bad the ice cream wasn't enjoyable as well.
