  1. Wednesday (22/07/2015) Battle Log: Goals for the day: Wake up at 4:50 AM Do fasting aerobics Do weight training Do HIIT after the weight training mission completed Drink at least 3 liters of water Stick to the prescribed diet Go to sleep until 10:50 PM ===== For some reason, I woke up at 3:30 AM and couldn't sleep anymore. I was feeling anxious for some reason. Maybe its a side effect of the caffeine pill I've taken the previous day? Anyway, I got out of my bed at 4:50 AM, shaved, took a picture of my body (the one I've posted previously here), took a caffeine pill and went to my morning jog. Wake up at 4:50 AM mission completed Do fasting aerobics mission completed ===== I drank 3 bottles of water before lunch. When it was lunch time, I ate: Lettuce, carrots and cooked cabbage A grilled beef Some pork ham roast A few spoons of rice and beans 20 grams of peanuts After lunch, a friend of mine bought some chocolate and butter toffees and shared with everyone in our office. I saved mine for the weekend. I'm really proud I could resist the temptation of eating them at that moment, since I'm simply addicted to sweet stuff. I drank 2 more bottles of water until I went home. I also took another caffeine pill before I left my job, since I'd be going straight to the gym. ===== Before going to the gym, I went to a supermarket to buy yogurt (I refuse to take albumine with water again) and some table cream (I want to try a new dessert this Saturday). When I got to the gym, I did: 4x12 skull crushers + barbell bench press 4x12 reverse grip triceps pushdown 4x12 alternate dumbbell curl 3x12 barbell curl 3x12 wrist curl (palms down) + hammer curl 4x12 wrist curl (palms up) 3x20 Sit Up + Bottoms Up 20 minutes of HIIT using a bike Do weight training mission completed Do HIIT after the weight training mission completed When I was going home, I had the nastiest calf cramp EVER. I couldn't even stretch my right leg and I felt a terrible paralysing pain from my glutes down to my foot. I could see my right calf twitching like a possessed-by-a-demon person. It would've been an interesting sight if it wasn't so painful After an eternity, I got better and could limp to my home. Then, I had for dinner: A cup of light yogurt with 2 tablespoons of albumine and 1 teaspoon of creatine 2 fried eggs (no oil) 80 grams of rice and beans Half of the sardine can I've left the previous day 50 grams of chicken liver Some lettuce and tomato slices Light gelatin with 2 spoons of natural peanut butter Stick to the prescribed diet mission completed Drink at least 3 liters of water mission completed I went to bed at 11:00 PM. I was playing the computer, so I lose track of time. It's the second consecutive day I've not slept at the right time (and there wasn't any "valid" reason for it), so... Go to sleep until 10:50 PM mission failed ===== Results of the day: Wake up at 4:50 AM - OK Do fasting aerobics - OK Do weight training - OK Do HIIT after the weight training mission completed - OK Drink at least 3 liters of water - OK Stick to the prescribed diet - OK Go to sleep until 10:50 PM - X
  2. Whoa! How come someone can come with such an awesome idea of "linking" this stuff with Zelda? *Wishing I could be that creative too* About eating... just a tip: I've seen many people eating just a little in order not to get fatter. But, actually, you don't need to starve in order to eat less calories! There are many foods (mostly green leaves and some vegetables) that have so few calories that you can eat as much as you want. Also, if you like gelatin, try eating a diet/light/zero calorie gelatin with natural peanut butter or table cream (Nestle ones have no carbohydrates). It's really good to make you feel full.
  3. I think this is the best thing I could have read today. Thanks a lot! I completely agree with this... Many times, we are so afraid of failing, of getting hurt, of paying the price that we don't even try. But failures, pains and sacrifices are a vital part of life. "The road to success is paved with failure", indeed. Good luck, my friend! I wish you success and look forward to hear (or read) about your results!
  4. Hello, Stephanie! First of all... Yay! I found another pokemaniac! (As you can see, I love pokémon too, hahahaha!) I really liked reading your story. You're very committed to become healthier, I can see! I wish you success in your trainings and look forward to your results! However, let me ask you... how about your diet? Or, if you don't like this word, your eating habits? You know, 80% of everything is what you eat...
  5. Thanks, man! I'm still struggling to lose the last pounds, though. Only after 2 years of working out and eating better I started losing belly fat lol
  6. Hey, if the problem is laziness... how about preparing simple things that can fill a stomach? For example, do you like gelatin? There are many kinds of gelatin that don't have any sugar or calories, so you can eat as much as you want, and they're really easy and simple to prepare. Also, have you ever tried these kinds of gelatin with natural peanut butter? It really fills your stomach! You can also try adding table cream (Nestle ones have zero carbohydrates) to make it different or to turn it into a yummy mousse (just add table cream and a zero calorie powdery juice).
  7. I decided to post here a picture of my "transformation". The left picture is me in May 2014 (after 9 months going to a gym and eating in a healthier way) and the right one was taken in June 2015.
  8. I decided to take a picture of myself this morning. I will compare it with another picture I'll be taking after some time.
  9. Hi, Ninjakitten! I know how hard it is to change your eating habits. But something I learned: you do not need to starve! If you just eat a little, because you want to lose weight, your stomach will drive you crazy from hunger and you'll go back to the start. There are many kinds of foods that have too little calories to get troublesome, so you can eat them as much as you want. Some of them: green leaves, broccoli, cauliflower, onion, garlic, eggplant, cucumber, chayote, pepper, turnip, light gelatin, coffee, tea... The secret is to eat lots of these things until they fill your stomach. I've been eating like this for a long time and I've been getting good results, while not feeling that much hungry. For example, look at a meal I had another day: A huge plate of salad, some meat and a few carbohydrates.
  10. Tuesday (21/07/2015) Battle Log: Goals for the day: Wake up at 4:50 AM Do fasting aerobics Do weight training Drink at least 3 liters of water Stick to the prescribed diet Go to sleep until 10:50 PM ===== I borrowed my mom's (pink lol) cellphone, so I wouldn't wake up late because my cellphone is malfunctioning, hehe. I woke up at the right time, got dressed, drank a cup of water and... fasting aerobics time! As usual, I walked for 5 minutes, jogged for 50, and then walked for more 5 before going home and preparing for leaving to my job. Wake up at 4:50 AM mission completed Do fasting aerobics mission completed ===== From the start of my working time until lunch, I drank 3 bottles of water (totalizing 1.5 liters of water). As for lunch, I ate: 1 breadcrumbed beef A big plate of lettuce, cooked cabbage and cooked cole A few spoons of rice and beans (I forgot to count how many, sorry :x) 20 grams of raw peanuts After lunch, until the end of my working time, I drank 2 more bottles of water. ===== I bought some caffeine pills after leaving my job. I decided to try using them for some time. Let's see what will the results be! I took a caffeine pill once I got home, changed my clothes, and went to the gym. I did: 4x12 Squat free bar 4x12 Leg extensions + lying leg curls 4x12 Romanian deadlift 3x12 Leg press calf raise 3x12 Standing calf raises 3x12 Seated calf raise Do weight training mission completed ===== After working out and taking a bath, I was going to prepare my albumine and creatine shake, but there was no more milk or yogurt. So, I had to drink it with water... yikes! Why does albumine tastes so nasty? Well, I won't forget to buy yogurt today. So, for dinner, I had: A cup of water with 2 tablespoons of albumine and 1 teaspoon of creatine Canned sardines (1.5 can) 2 fried eggs (no oil) 80 grams of rice and beans Lettuce and a couple slices of tomato Eggplant Light gelatin with 2 tablespoons of natural peanut butter Drink at least 3 liters of water mission completed Stick to the prescribed diet mission completed I went to sleep at 11:00 PM because I was looking for some music sheets I was needing. Well, I don't think only 10 minutes would be a huuuge difference, so... Go to sleep until 10:50 PM mission completed ===== Results of the day: Wake up at 4:50 AM - OK Do fasting aerobics - OK Do weight training - OK Drink at least 3 liters of water - OK Stick to the prescribed diet - OK Go to sleep until 10:50 PM - OK Yay, 100% completed!
  11. Hello, my friend! Congrats on your achievements! I'm really happy for you being able to see your-10-pounds-thinner-self Now, just keep going! We're all together in this!
  12. Monday (20/07/2015) Battle Log: Goals for the day: Do fasting aerobics. Do weight training. Do HIIT after the weight training. Drink at least 3 liters of water. Stick to the prescribed diet. Go to sleep until 10:50 PM. ===== For some reason, my cellphone alarm clock is not working properly sometimes. That was what happened yesterday. I was supposed to have awakened at 4:50 AM, but I woke up (by myself) at 5:20 AM. Oh, well. No crying over spilled milk! At least, I slept more than 6 hours that night I got dressed and went for my morning jog. I know it's not advised to run quickly while in a fasted state, so I was just slowly jogging (since I can't walk fast enough at mornings). I walked for 10 minutes, jogged for 15 minutes, then walked again for 5 minutes, and went back home in order to get ready to work. Do fasting aerobics mission completed ===== I had been fasting since the previous lunch (a religious practice of mine - I'm LDS/mormon, by the way), so I didn't drink any water that morning. When it was time for lunch, I ate: A huge plate of lettuce and some eggplant Some kind of meatloaf they were serving 3 chicken nuggets. I know, that's pretty stupid, but they were serving chicken nuggets at my job's restaurant, and since I was really hungry, I ended up picking some. Stick to the prescribed diet mission failed ===== I always bring my 0.5 liter water bottle with me to my job, so I can control the amount of water I drink. So, I drank 1.5 liter of water until the end of my working hours. But I forgot to drink much water after leaving my job... Drink at least 3 liters of water mission failed ===== I was really hungry when I came back home... so, I ate a piece of white cheese I found at the refrigator and drank a cup of water before going to the gym. The gym was really full (specially since it was a Monday...), so I had to replace some exercises I was going to do with others. I did: 4x12 Cross-Over 4x12 Incline Dumbbell Fly 4x12 Pec Deck 4x12 Side Lateral Raise 4x12 Front Raise 3x20 Sit Up + Bottoms Up 15 minutes running on the trendmill 15 minutes of HIIT using a bike Do weight training mission completed Do HIIT after the weight training mission completed After I came back home and took a shower, I had as dinner: A cup of skimmed milk with 2 tablespoons of albumine and 1 teaspoon of creatine Eggplant (yes, I love it and it has almost no calories, so...) 2 fried eggs (no oil) 120 grams of cooked chicken (I was supposed to have eaten 100 grams instead of 120, though) Light gelatin with a teaspoon of natural peanut butter (the chicken nuggets I had eaten before surely had a lot of fats, anyway; otherwise, I'd eat more peanut butter). I ended up sleeping at 11:30 PM, because my parents and I were discussing some things. Go to sleep until 10:50 PM mission failed ===== Results of the day: Do fasting aerobics - OK Do weight training - OK Do HIIT after the weight training - OK Drink at least 3 liters of water - X Stick to the prescribed diet - X Go to sleep until 10:50 PM - X
  13. Hello, guys! Well, after postponing this moment for a long time, I've finally decided to keep track of my efforts, successes and failures here. I know this will help me being more committed and achieving my goals. My final goal is to have a thin, but muscular, nice-looking body. I don't really care about having a 6-pack, I just want to get rid of my belly fat lol I'm a short guy - only 1.67m tall (around 5'6") - and I've been overweight for the most part of my life. But who said a small guy can't have a nice body? Goals: - Do fasting aerobics at least 5 times/week. - Do weight training at least 4 times/week. - Do HIIT at least 3 times/week. - Drink at least 3 liters of water/day. - Do aerobics at least 340 minutes/week (fasting aerobics and HIIT are included here). - Stick to the prescribed diet. - Sleep at least 6 hours/night. These are my goals. I'll be posting the proper battle log later. It's my first time doing this, so, I'm sorry for any mistakes so far
  14. Stupid invisible Gengars, stop making me drowzy! I gotta work! x_x
