  1. Hello, everyone! So this past week was... not much better than the last one. I still didn't do all my workouts, and I let myself cheat (not eating all my food, or in Saturdays case eating some unhealthy food) on my meals over the weekend. I think this mostly stemmed from the fact that I was busy all weekend, I saw my boyfriend Friday-Sunday, and I spent Saturday at the beach. It's much easier to stick through with all this when you only have your own schedule to worry about. I also had a big downer moment when I went to see my kidney doctor (I'm a donor, post-op) on Friday. They took my vitals including height and weight and I haven't lost a single pound. I'm pretty hard on myself when I don't follow things perfectly, so I'm struggling mentally with the point of it all. I don't feel very different in terms of muscle or how my clothes are fitting, though I do have more endurance than I used to. I'm gonna keep pushing forward, I keep telling myself that even though I'm on the "21 day fix" I do not have a deadline and that this is more about new habits lifestyle changes than anything else. Still, it's discouraging. Anyway, for this week I've decided to change my workouts up. I'm now doing the Beginner Body Weight circuit every other day (I got through 2 circuits today before I was winded, better than last time!) and on my rest days I'm going to do yoga. I'm not giving up on dieting, I just have to figure out how to eat when I'm with other people. Oh well, chin up! Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
  2. I would actually really like to see that. I'm trying to get into painting and I'm planning out a gallery wall for my bedroom. Some motivational quotes would be perfect [emoji4] Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
  3. I didn't know that, actually! Thanks for the heads up. I was going to jump into one of the 6 week challenges a while back, but I got the dates mixed up. That's awesome, thanks! Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
  4. So, to boot myself back up, I've started doing the 21 day fix. Not that I'm about to promote their brand or say that people should buy into packaged fitness plans, but I'm shitty without a plan and I guess I need to be told what to do. Anyway... The first week went pretty well, I've learned that eating healthy is all about planning ahead. By deciding what foods groups I'm going to utilize in every meal, I can just fill in the blanks with foods that I like. The plan I have comes with different 30 minute workouts for every day of the week. This, again, keeps every day fresh and takes the confusion out of it for me. I had decided previously that once I have good eating habits down pat and these become easier I can start trying again with Steve's body weight workouts and go from there. The only days I didn't do well this week were Friday and Saturday. I didn't do the workouts either day. Friday I didn't go home so I didn't eat dinner, and Saturday I hadn't planned anything so I ended up eating takeout from Chili's. This two days really discouraged me, but I just finished with my workout for today (yoga, which I've been looking forward to all week), and I'm starting to feel better. In a little while I'm going grocery shopping to stock up on food for week 2, so I'm going to be back in the driver's seat and taking control of my nutrition for the week. I think overall what I can improve on the most is getting myself to bed at night so I can wake up and exercise in the morning. It's really easy to roll over in the morning and say "I'll workout after work" but you sabotage your own plan by giving into resistance and putting the responsibility on Future You. I'm excited to be taking control of my fitness and trying to build good habits for myself, and I want to do even better for week 2 Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
  5. So I fell off the wagon a while back; one of my biggest problems is apathy, it goes along with my depression so it can be hard for me to care enough about myself to pay attention and make healthy choices. But I'm trying again. Today, I started doing the 21 day fix with my mom. Now, I know we generally don't prescribe to temporary programs but I'm looking to use it as a starting point to get a handle on portion control and eating nutritious food and exercising every day. Have any of you tried this program before? Did you like it? I'd appreciate any tips you have. So far so good though, I have my whole day's food planned out, and tonight my mom and I are going shopping to meal plan for the rest of the week. Today, I also did an early morning workout for the first time; I've always preferred workouts at the beginning of the day but this is the first time I was exercising by 6am. I'm just trying to take this one day at a time and as a side project I'm going to start crafting a gallery wall in my room to stay motivated and inspired. *shrug* here we go Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk

  7. So, I'm gonna hide under a rock now and never go on the Internet again... I visited the main site last week and it just said "the challenge starts Monday", so I thought I was getting in at the beginning 😳
  8. So bring sick really threw a wrench in my week, exercise-wise. I only really worked out on Tuesday, so I'll give myself Ds on my first two goals. I did eat pretty well this week, though. I didn't order out for lunch at all and the only truly unhealthy thing I ate all week was a chessesteak last night, and that was really the only thing I ate all day. So I'll give myself a B+ on my lunch eating challenge. Hoping for a better week this week!
  9. Thank you do much! It's so hard to make any real change in your life when you go it alone. Anyway, today would normally be an exercise day, since I recovered yesterday, but I have some kind of head cold virus which is keeping me out of work today. If I feel better later in today I'll try to work out
  10. I imagine I'll grade each item individually, based on if/how well each task was completed. For example, yesterday, I got F's on both exercise tasks because I overslept during the time I had to do them. For the lunch, I packed some fruit, yogurt, and roasted cabbage, but for a main I had a ham and cheese sandwich, which isn't very healthy, so I'll give myself a B. Today, so far, is going much better! I did the beginner body weight circuit for the first time, but was totally winded after 1 completion. B-. As far as the push ups go, during the BWC, I did 10 knee push ups, and a 30 second plank, and afterward, did 20 push ups leaning on the backs of some chairs. A-. For lunch, I have some leftovers of a po' boy flat bread brought home from Ruby Tuesday last night, but I'm gonna go to wawa and pick up a salad instead. Since I haven't actually done it yet, I'll project an A, A+ if I resist the urge to buy cigarettes while I'm there
  11. I can do a few knee pushups down to the floor, but i can't do any in full plank position, so i'd have to work on form and strengthening my core
  12. Looking forward to my first 6WC!

  13. Hello there! 23 year old baby adult looking to develop good habits and get my health and fitness under control. I still consider myself an adventurer because I havent yet been able to narrow down my interests to choose a path. Most of my fitness experience is in dance and marching band, with some experience in yoga. I actually tried kickboxing a while ago and I really enjoyed it, but my main problem is making a plan for myself and sticking to it. I'm 5'7" and around 190 lbs, my main quest is to get to around 150, getting stronger and more agile along the way. For my 6 week challenge, my goals are: - Complete the Beginners Body Weight Circuit 3x a week - Work my way up to be able to do a real pushup - No more ordering out for lunch at work, unless it is a healthy option Super excited to join my guild and complete my first NF fitness goals!
  14. Good morning! So I've been following these emails for a long time now and figure I better get started! Okay, so I've always enjoyed being active, as a youngster I was always involved in dance and when I got older I did a little color guard and a lot of marching band. I loved getting time to exercise, but it's hard for me to get to it when it's not hard wired into my schedule and I don't have friends to keep me going. So, let's be friends? I'm nice, I promise!
  15. Hey, Bravis! I'm actually in the same boat, I signed up for emails shortly after I graduated college but for personal reasons I never got started. Nows as good a time as any, right?
