  1. Oh yoga, is that secret pancake information? Muhahaha. But seriously great workout. Yoga can leave you so relaxed. And sounds like you got a lot done again Ensi. (The electricity part seems especially important, so super well done.) And sounds like you got a decent real estate agent, they're super rare. Btw Pizza (or other things, I'm a huge fan of the after move beer :D) are super important to make everyone helping you coming back the next time. Seriously.
  2. Question! Does anyone else listen to music during workouts they'd never listen to otherwise? I definitely do. Especially recently. Maybe it's partly because the music I otherwise like isn't really fast enough for a good workout or so. Hm. Most recent workout favourite is this one... That's about as far removed from the music I otherwise like as you can go. As in polar opposites.
  3. Can't believe how awesome you are doing Spooky! All the calls, all the papers and everything whole-assed. Love the inspiration for the day too. <3 I knew cake was awesome.
  4. Oh... oh... that's ok. I wasn't expecting a super amazing story at all.... I know that problem though. Although for me it tends to be small scratches or cuts. No idea when and how either.
  5. Oh welcome Ensi! The thing is I know cutting out grains and dairy would help me lose weight faster, but I never managed to stick with it. So I figured I need some different way. In a way this option is complicated too of course. Cutting out something is much more straight forward than moderation and figuring out how much you can eat of certain things, etc. at least it is like that for me. But I feel like I'm getting closer to something that works and I can stick with. So I think it's worth the extra work. As mentioned before the only exception for that is the things I absolutely will binge on. E.g. my boyfriend currently has some Japanese cheesecake in the fridge and I have no problem with not eating that, or just a small slice if so, but I can't do that with chips. I can eat whole bags.
  6. YES! As in being super positive about 1 thing you did that day. You know, without saying "uh I kind of half-assed it". Whole-ass it like Spooky would and then brag about it on here. Also: you don't need those nasty cupcakes at all. You're above that.
  7. Sounds like a pretty good day over all. (Also that last part sounds like you're hiding some super interesting story. )
  8. I think it has this effect because I am super out of shape. I never stopped completely working out but I did way more cardio and less of anything else. I did timed circuits again. (The first one I usually manage to go through 1.5 or 2 times, the second 1 or 1.5 times. I just pick 4 exercises and decide how many reps and then go through it until the 7 minutes are up.) For legs it was mostly weighted sumo squats, jump squats, weighted step ups, burpees (to make me hate myself more), rope skipping, weighted lunges. Oh and the super ridiculous looking crabwalk (in theory with a medicine ball, I don't have one so just did it with a dumbbell too.) I think I forgot something I usually pick 4 per circuit, but I guess that gives you an idea. I think just the 2 min rope skipping alone did me in. Where did you get these def? Thanks rab. <3 I appreciate your honesty.
  9. So summary for the day. Goal #1 ... I planned to be a bit more strict with my diet again. (No more accidents that for some reason never got tracked. ) Managed just fine today. I once actually caught myself snacking though... and hardly realizing it. I don't know if that is some special form of idiocy or super advanced self-deception. Goal #2... I exercised. Timed circuit again. Today was leg day and by the end I hardly could stand anymore so I'd say it was a success. I already thought about how I'll actually manage to move tomorrow though. Last time I tried this workout I was hardly able to bend down and tie my shoes. (Is working out supposed to make me feel like a 80 year old?) Goal #3... I did another sessions of those times poses. Omg, I am horrible at this. But it does force you to be more precise with the (few) lines you actually draw and seems to be a pretty good practice. (I used to avoid this one before because I'm uncomfortable with just how difficult this one is for me - BUT this is a challenge after all.)
  10. Whenever I eat away from home I'm usually quite a bit heavier the next day, I think it's mostly due to all the salt and retaining water. So I think you're right, no reason to worry.
  11. That is a good goal you know. I know I can't force you but writing down something that went great that well and shows off all your glory might help.
  12. Of coursing giving up instead of going for 80% in perfectly logical. In my own little world. (And if I don't think about it too much.) Cupcakes are hard to say no to as well. I sometimes make steamed rice cakes, they are a tiny bit better calorie wise... maybe. So I can actually eat one. I don't know about the bread. I know a lot of people here go for low carb and have a lot of success with that. But it's not for me. Especially not in the long run. I mean I do try to go a bit lower on the carbs (and eat more protein). But for me cutting back a little is still 45% carbs. If I don't watch it I usually end up between 50 - 60%. And I go for less processed food I suppose. But no bread is no option for me. I really don't like the idea of ruling out any food groups in general and I think doing that would just lead me to a serious binge later on. Exception sort of... as mentioned before are things I do binge on anyways. That's more of a safety precaution. Hm, I don't know. I love bakeries but I have to say that in my area the nicer privately owned ones got sort of scarce and old ones were replaced by chains. I don't necessarily mean everything those chains sell is bad, but it is just so generic. It definitely helped me to say no. Now if a good bakery had been within a close distance... Actually there was once and I survived. It helped me a lot that they didn't change their selection too often so I wasn't tempted to try the new thing that I might not have the chance to try if I wait another 2 days.
  13. Foods where I cannot stop eating are banned at the moment. Don't need to make this harder than it is. But yes, I do have that problem a lot otherwise. I can't finish my goal 100%? Well why bother to get to 80%, just stop altogether. The most reasonable approach to this as you can see. And GO WAFFLES!!!!!!!!!
  14. I know the pain you're describing and it still makes me laugh more than it should. (I recently had problems to bend down and tie my shoes after leg day. So I'm the one to talk... I felt like I'm 80 and probably looked the part too.)
  15. I'm sure those will be super manly tears. You can do it! (I mean the burpees!)
  16. New challenge! Everything will work this time! Well, you definitely are a force to be reckoned with. I do know the secret word for starting a respawn party. I hope I won't need it in the first week though. I think actually posting is something that makes a lot of a difference. You're right. Sometimes I just feel like I run out of things to say about my challenge goals? Hm. Maybe on those I should just spam about other random stuff. But you stayed here all the time while others started to leave the path. So I'd say that's great. I'm glad for my restart too though, I made zero progress lately. Just stayed at my current status. I know that lying to yourself when it comes to tracking sounds like the most ridiculous thing (especially since it often turns out as not as bad as expected) but I certainly still struggle with it as well. (I did get a lot better over time though.) I think it is mostly my idea of doing it 100% or not at all - at least I sometimes still get that. Of course my team leader is the most important aspect of my challenge. Possibly even my daily life. Atm my motivation isn't at a low thankfully. (First day and all.) But I will let you know.
  17. That last part is so great. That's basically what I try to ask myself whenever I don't stick to the rules these days. Is it the cake from the bakery I could get every day? Then probably not. Is it the strawberry cake with strawberries from the garden mom makes and I eat maybe once per year? Then most definitely yes. And then some planning like a lighter breakfast and it is half as bad as I thought. (Works 80% of the time fore me atm. The other 20% I am a savage who eats cake from the bakery anyway and then has to fix the damage, lol.)
  18. Oh, that's AMAZING owlet. <3 Love the colours. Migraines suck so much. Luckily mine are pretty rare atm but they always strike in the worst possible moment.
  19. Congratulations on the apartment then Ensi! <3 (And on still having all the toes.) It is the oddest thing but I do feel like I have so much more energy when I get my exercise in, too. It seems sort of counterintuitive doesn't it. And doing it first in the morning to start of the day right is the best - whenever I manage that is. I still didn't turn into this person who suddenly loves getting up unfortunately. Maybe some day.
  20. Sounds like a great workout JC. You can do this! (25 burpees would make me cry on some days though. I'm a burpee weakling.)
  21. Sounds like an ultra-productive day already! Great way to start of the new challenge!
  22. Sounds like you still did super well overall Sylvaa! Despite all the less than ideal circumstances! Things like taking more fuel is what you learn during races I think. Preparing for shitty weather and maybe a not too ideal setup is something that's more difficult to prepare for I think. But you managed anyway. At your first attempt. And it sounds like the other competitors were nice. So overall a win. <3
  23. Sounds like you have a great day ahead of you Spooky. <3 Also love the quote about worrying, it's so true.
  24. Hm I see. I asked because it feels like if I do what you said I'd use more than one of my personal goals for this challenge but if that's what everyone does then I'll do it as well, thanks Terah!
