So you want to make sure he gets his lips right on the opening and not wrapping all the way around and providing just the right amount of pressure to get the best sound out?

In other words, make floor tiles out of books, with a narrow clear path so that you can move between rooms without trampling the books.
Exactly.

No dice for me this time. OHP to behind the neck and back to OHP is a sure fire way for my shoulders and elbows to complain loudly and for an extended duration.
Scale it down to bodyweight movement. Straightleg hamstring stretch to arms all the way up, bring arms out in a t shape to squat, back up bringing hands back vertical then bend back down into hamstring stretch.

Dude, that's an awesome moment to have! What prompted you to stick to just two? Trainer, or experiment you were trying?
A combination of both. The trainer had those two then a HIIT finisher, but I suggested the dropset and we decided to just roll through and finish the workout that way instead. In hindsight I'm glad I did it, it was definitely a shock to the system. Turns out it's kinda hard to do dropsets by yourself.

I think I pushed myself too hard doing a buncha push-ups as a finisher one workout and had to take a couple days off of lifting - I think that was the first of many slow realizations that my competitive nature can sometimes slow down my long-term growth and all that jazz.
I'm still blown away by how much volume I moved over the course of that challenge.

I tried that, but it's really hard to find a comfortable position to sleep in when there's books all over the bed.
I should have specified. Every hard flat surface that you would pass by on your way to couch/chair/bathroom/bed that you could reasonably grab a book to read.

YESSSS PLEASE TURN YOUR WEE ONE INTO A LIBRARY LOVER!!!! She'll even more become my favorite child under the age of 8 (I think she's under 8 still, right? 8 is my youngest dance student, so this phrasing, if accurate, keeps me from having to pick favorite kids across different contexts).
5. I will report back on the first chapter of Sorcerer's Stone to further cement her status.

The libraries around here have activities and events for kids of all ages, that always seem like they are very appreciated y the attending kids and their parents. Something to explore?
Same here, we've just been so damn busy.

I'm working on that last one now.
Leave them open on every flat surface?

LIBRARIES! I rediscovered them (in America, as an adult, having forgotten about them somehow) and now I am convinced. I get to deprive amazon of my gold, and the library brings all these books to me! And then I give them back when I'm done, so they don't clutter up my shelves! Such a great system.I keep forgetting about these. And I really need to take grimble to them more often.

Question on the book goals, do you have a bunch of unread paper books or do you need to go buy them? I'm genuinely curious because it is so much more justifiable for me to buy 2 or 3 ebooks than to buy one physical just because of the cost difference.

The problem with that theory is that I was actually AT work on Monday lol. (Carefully worded, as I did not do much actual work that day. Except fixing the connection between the scanner and one of the new pcs, which was a ginormous pain in the PITA. That and a spotify playlist was my work day 🤣)
I didn't say it was YOUR monday Holiday, but I see how that could be a kink in the theory.

I'm glad to know it's not just me! I thought I'd ripped a whole in the space-time continuum, or got sucked into a wormhole and teleported into the future but my memory was erased in the process. You know, typical Tuesday stuff. Wait, today isn't Tuesday? It's Wednesday?
This is what happens when a monday holiday hits.

I did 2 exercises for work on saturday. Just two. (not counting warm-up movements obviously) Unless I was going for a PR test in the past I wouldn't even contemplate doing just two exercises, especially as a superset. I'm working on rebuilding some of my leg strength and endurance due to mostly laziness, and in the past I would have done squats, lunges, presses, curls, etc. But this time I did angle squats (think hack squats but with a smith machine) and landmine squat presses. Last set was a dropset til I couldn't lift the bar safely. It's interesting to me, how I felt more exhausted and motivitated doing just two movements, albeit more advanced ones, than I have doing a 3-5x8-12 of a several exercises. Don't know if it's because it's new and exciting or if it's just work that is better for me right now.
I am, at my heart, a challenger. I challenge other people to be better, and by making them do better it challenges me to step up. I might be too competitive. I remember my very first challenge here that really got me going was Broba Fett's volume challenge. And it's been on like donkey kong ever since. But I find JUST challenging myself doesn't always get me to where I want to be. I am working on being internally motivated, but it is more... challenging than I thought.

Maybe or maybe cut it out completely? I don't know.
Speaking as someone who was upwards of 2000 mg of caffeine a day take my advice in this aspect. Take it slow. I quit cold turkey and went through serious withdrawl, headache, vomiting, fever, the works. Caffeine is a drug as much as anything else.
56 minutes ago, h3r0 said:Just frustrated. I am tired of being tired all the time. I know the root cause is not having enough or quality sleep. The 6 or so hours is not enough but don't know how to increase that without other life impacts. I get up a hour earlier than I have to but that is my workout time and don't want to cut that. With work, kids, and our schedules I don't want to go to bed earlier. That last 1-2 hours of the evening is really the only time I get hang out with my wife during the week.
I over come the sleep debt with large amounts of caffeine and I know that isn't healthy long term. I cut it in a effort to improve the quality of sleep if I couldn't increase the quantity but so far hasn't worked.
More anecdotal observations, go to bed when you're tired. Have you talked to your wife about this? You're in a partnership, or I hope you are, and you need to communicate with her on this. I know you WANT to spend that last couple of hours with her, but you may need to make some temporary adjustments that take away some of that special time in the short term to help make the long term even better.
Bedroom notes. Have you looked at light polution, electronics in bed, white noise, etc?
Additionally, does your bed suck? Is looking at a new mattress an option?

My apologies for the lack of updates. Work has been crazy enough I did not want to be on a computer outside of it.
I will be making the final decision on my name, but I will be more than open to suggestions and idea, (grumblemcgrumbleface is probably not gonna make the cut)
Also, GOALS UPDATED.
