Now we're getting somewhere

So you want to make sure he gets his lips right on the opening and not wrapping all the way around and providing just the right amount of pressure to get the best sound out?

Exactly.

minichallenge 10 Years of Challenges Workout
Grumble replied to Anim07734's topic in Accountabilibuddies
Scale it down to bodyweight movement. Straightleg hamstring stretch to arms all the way up, bring arms out in a t shape to squat, back up bringing hands back vertical then bend back down into hamstring stretch. -
A combination of both. The trainer had those two then a HIIT finisher, but I suggested the dropset and we decided to just roll through and finish the workout that way instead. In hindsight I'm glad I did it, it was definitely a shock to the system. Turns out it's kinda hard to do dropsets by yourself. I'm still blown away by how much volume I moved over the course of that challenge.

I should have specified. Every hard flat surface that you would pass by on your way to couch/chair/bathroom/bed that you could reasonably grab a book to read.
-
5. I will report back on the first chapter of Sorcerer's Stone to further cement her status.

Good, practice is always good. Sleep and mental health. THese are solid. Good to be... wait a second...
-
Same here, we've just been so damn busy. Leave them open on every flat surface?
-
I keep forgetting about these. And I really need to take grimble to them more often.

Question on the book goals, do you have a bunch of unread paper books or do you need to go buy them? I'm genuinely curious because it is so much more justifiable for me to buy 2 or 3 ebooks than to buy one physical just because of the cost difference.

I didn't say it was YOUR monday Holiday, but I see how that could be a kink in the theory. -

This is what happens when a monday holiday hits. -
I did 2 exercises for work on saturday. Just two. (not counting warm-up movements obviously) Unless I was going for a PR test in the past I wouldn't even contemplate doing just two exercises, especially as a superset. I'm working on rebuilding some of my leg strength and endurance due to mostly laziness, and in the past I would have done squats, lunges, presses, curls, etc. But this time I did angle squats (think hack squats but with a smith machine) and landmine squat presses. Last set was a dropset til I couldn't lift the bar safely. It's interesting to me, how I felt more exhausted and motivitated doing just two movements, albeit more advanced ones, than I have doing a 3-5x8-12 of a several exercises. Don't know if it's because it's new and exciting or if it's just work that is better for me right now. I am, at my heart, a challenger. I challenge other people to be better, and by making them do better it challenges me to step up. I might be too competitive. I remember my very first challenge here that really got me going was Broba Fett's volume challenge. And it's been on like donkey kong ever since. But I find JUST challenging myself doesn't always get me to where I want to be. I am working on being internally motivated, but it is more... challenging than I thought.

Let's do this. -
Speaking as someone who was upwards of 2000 mg of caffeine a day take my advice in this aspect. Take it slow. I quit cold turkey and went through serious withdrawl, headache, vomiting, fever, the works. Caffeine is a drug as much as anything else. More anecdotal observations, go to bed when you're tired. Have you talked to your wife about this? You're in a partnership, or I hope you are, and you need to communicate with her on this. I know you WANT to spend that last couple of hours with her, but you may need to make some temporary adjustments that take away some of that special time in the short term to help make the long term even better. Bedroom notes. Have you looked at light polution, electronics in bed, white noise, etc? Additionally, does your bed suck? Is looking at a new mattress an option? It looks amazing. I almost don't want to point out that it's a fruit. Almost.

I wasn't expecting to get attacked in someone else's thread, but them's the breaks.

Can't wait to see what the original rebel will bring to the challenge table.

Like the lifty version of a beatnik? Look, I understand I don't get as much sun as I should. Doesn't mean I need to be called out like this.

I believe the answer is Yes.

Failure is just an unrealized success. You've got this.

@Tanktimus the Encourager, @Scalyfreak, @Mike Wazowski, @Harriet, @h3r0, @GodzillaKong, @miss_marissa My apologies for the lack of updates. Work has been crazy enough I did not want to be on a computer outside of it. I will be making the final decision on my name, but I will be more than open to suggestions and idea, (grumblemcgrumbleface is probably not gonna make the cut) Also, GOALS UPDATED.

Nice simple goals. I mar or not be hijacking at least one of them. and following along, of course.
