  1. If it's all good, I like to join your little merry band of Morporkians. Also, these are some of my favorite books in the Anthology.
  2. Corporal Carrot, Reporting for Duty!
  3. That's what we do whenever ours meets. Although I'd do it with stouts.
  4. On your workout goal, do you have a program in place already or are you attempting to build one as you go?
  5. Spoiler

Books: The King's Traiter (reading) The Dragonbone Chair (listening)

    Shows: Daredevil, Iron Fist

Games: Shadows of Mordor. Mass Effect: Andromeda

  6. The shredded chicken with the mixer. I own hot sauces that I use to make more hot sauces. But for my first time eating a meal, I like to try it as cooked. Or at least part of it. I go visit my parents house once a week so grandpa gets his granddaughter time. I've had to start leaving a hot sauce there because the hottest they have is Tabasco.

If every day were perfect, we'd never have to go to the gym. Or work. Or stress at all. But it's not. You've got a plan in mind, sounds like you have an amazing support system, and you get to play ME:A. Call it a recovery week, freak out, cry, lean on a shoulder and drive on. You got this. Also, sex with all the aliens. Because Bioware.
  8. So much this! After my shoulder surgery my ortho surgeon said I probably shouldn't lift heavy ever again. Everyone else in the room looked at him like he was insane. Told my PT once I started. She shook her head and told me not to mention weightlifting to surgeons. They don't get it.
  9. I really should build a planner. You guys keep showing these awesomely organized charts. Also, you have an amazingly positive outlook on things. Makes me re-evaluate some stuff.
  10. Good morning Everyone! Let's catch up on yesterdays shenanigans, shall we? And up first we have the great and powerful FOODZ! Breakfast was my standard Oatmeal and Protein Cheerios, separate of course. Combined would be weird. Lunch was leftover sloppy joes from monday, and sugar free pudding Dinner. Dinner was...good? Butterflied chicken with a chili apricot glaze, green beans with walnuts, and couscous. It was good. Not as spicy as I hoped, but I seem to have over-peppered just enough to make it yummy. I'm ambivalent about dinner. Snacks: 3/4 serving of cheddar ranch cheez-its. one nutrigrain (blueberry), and a serving of the gray stuff (Look, it's a limited shelf life. Not going to waste it) Not bad. Could be worse. Could always be better. Now... GAINZ ... ... ... Guess who forgot to bring their gear to work with them? And it's raining. And there's traffic. So no gym for me. That might be a blessing though. I felt really good after my 5am workout on Monday all day, so maybe thats the way to go during the week. We'll find out in my next rollup! Other notes on the challenge: 6.5 hours of sleep. Not the seven I want, but I'm not exhausted halfway through the day. Still limiting my sugary goodness to one obvious item a day. I haven't been counting calories or macros or any other such things lately as I am still getting my strength goals back in line, but I think I'm good (If I'm a bald faced liar, please call me out on it) Still using the forums. @Taddea Zhaan is two for two on ideas. Finally shopping. My big impulses is buying the humble bundles and extra shit for freemium games. I've...not resisted, but overcome I think is the better word, my urge to buy the last few bundles, especially the Dr WHo Audiobooks (SO TEMPTING) We'll see how long it takes me to turn willpower into discipline. And as they say, for yesterday....
  11. So there's something wrong with me today. Because I read as Choking chickens in the grinder. I need to go lift something, shut my brain off for an hour.
  12. @calanthrophy You're just referring to placement alone or placement and leg drive to keep his butt on the bench? Bench press, the forgotten hamstring exercise... I think @RedStone is right. From the angle it doesn't look like you're letting your shoulders go back on the way down. Along the same movement as a cable row. Try focusing on pulling them back on the eccentric phase.
  13. I read that as insidious. The mixer is a brilliant idea and I will have to try it.
  14. Remind me to never go camping with you.

  16. Commercial, so I do that occasionally. But my gym is also occasionally filled with the douchebro. Also no headphones so I just got to witness awesomeness, not hear it. I don't know if my mortal ears could handle the mighty tones of the Allspotter.
  17. Dude, that was inspirational as fuck. It makes me NOT want to post my bench though. In all fairness, I don't have a workout partner and I'm going for overall volume right now, not PRs.
  18. I kinda feel bad, as I will be adding at least 21K lbs as I've added a second leg day for this phase. On the plus side, the military has given me creative cardio ideas!
  19. I intentionally didn't add it this time, so I'll see if there's any noticeable difference other than the rising. How I (and you) do them. What we're "supposed to do" I'm going to try them the second way to see if that changes the workout at all.
  20. Week One Day One! We're off to a smashing start! FOODZ Breakfast: Two blueberry waffles, plain, ON preworkout (pineapple!) Post workout: Oatmeal with chia seed, protein cheerios, D-ribose recovery supplement (Shit is amazeballs for reducing DOMS) Lunch: Sesame beef skewers with baked bellpepper and onion slices. Dinner: Spinach and Asparagus Risotto Dessert: More Gray Stuff (Still delicious!) GAINZ (also known as the reason i get to eat) Lower body Barbell Squat: 185 for 1x12, 225 for 1x10, 235 for 1x8, 245 for 1x6 and 1x4 Dumbbell stepups: 50 for 1x10, 40 for 2x10, 35 for 1x10 (note I made these harder by walking the steps as opposed to just keeping my lifting foot planted on the step, fuck me) Dumbbell Farmer squats: 35 for 3x10, 45 for 1x10 Lateral box Squats: 45 for 1x3 (My legs literally gave out here) Seated Calf Raise: 205 for 4x12 Other Challenge notes: Got my 7 hours of sleep, in bed at 2100 up at 0400. 4 AM is still really early. The Gray stuff is my only sweet, so its kinda following. I will take any and all boos on my justification Just participating in the forums has already helped. @Taddea Zhaan A couple of notes on your concoction. They are super dense without the baking soda, but its fine. I do not need two, nibbling one takes me most of the way home or all the way to the gym if I go after work. They are better warmed (IMO) but I did let them completely thaw first before i heated one up. Impulse shopping is good so far ( I know it's one day, leave me alone), but as I can't even get to my computer as i am busy organizing my old MTG cards for sale or giveaway, it helps. Of course, once I clear those up my sleep may go to shit because Mass Effect: Andromeda. Side note: Took Grimble to swimming lessons today, and even in the water, having to keep your legs bent after leg day for nearly 30 minutes is just cruel and unusual.
  21. Oh, I guess I should have asked if you were using a stair machine or actual stairs.
  22. All the stairs! Stairs are fun, you can change how you utilize them as part of or all of a workout. Are you planning on doing steady state or more HIIT or Tabata for stair cardio?

    Spezzy Heals.

First off, fuck that. You have a completely different circadian rhythm than a lot of people. That doesn't need or should even have an excuse. It's a fact, at least as far as I understand it. Second, maybe instead of seeing a sleep doctor and going off that, see if you can get into a sleep disorder program that deals with people like you. I know UCLA has an amazing sleep disorder center. I was. It was surprisingly easy for me to get off it. I tapered off according to direction from my Dr and was fine. But I've always been able to do that with most addictive substances (I'm looking at you caffeine) It was partially stress, partially numerous time changes. I was moving between two or three time zones every month or so. I had circadian arrhythmia. It was pretty interesting to start hallucinating during the day. That's rough. Are you going strict on it or are you going to leave in the things that you know don't bother you as a part of your diet?
