  1. It's like how I feel about problem headaches that I'm working to solve. Growing pains. Beat me to it.
  2. Following. The iron church has missed you.
  3. Maybe once upon a time, it was ONLY lifters who maybe did something else. I think that era has passed.
  4. Approximately quarter to twice your bodyweight in food a day. I love idions that have a very loose grounding in reality. FIFY. Meeting goals is meeting goals. We don't always get to hit goals with perfect foods. There is zero need to qualify success.
  5. Potentially just a shock to your system to lift without the padding. If it's all healed now, go back to shoeless, leave your ego next to your shoes, and DL light. You'll get back to where you are now fairly quickly, but anytime you make a change in how you lift, drop weight. Your body will thank you.
  6. You should toss this up on r/writingprompts on reddit. Also, it's easy to do cardio. Just lift faster.
  7. Was that your first time deadlifting heavy out of shoes?
  8. I'll just leave these here.
  9. Hello hello! This is great stuff. And yes, it's very in line with Greasing the Groove (actual program along side being a solid fitness concept). Question, how does one bike with weights?
  10. Welcome! Looking forward to your first challenge with the warriors and will be over to invade your first first challenge soon.
  11. I've realized that after doing this unsuccessfully (to me) for the last couple of years, that you are very right. It is NOT a challenge. It is something to do and potentially find new things to enjoy. I will absolutely be doing this again this year with a new mindset, and see where it goes! If only there were a way to access free books for a limited time, that you could then swap out for more new books.
  12. Define unruly? I missed the beard oil. Important things to know about a good beard oil. Carrier oils: Some matter more than others. Essential Oils: Same, and these are tough, because most are bullshit. One final note. Beard oils are more for your skin than they are your beard. Keep that in mind when shopping. I don't want to hijack Tank's thread without his approval, so I'll leave it at that and if you're interested I can DM you some info to help make a more informed decision.
  13. I'm 6'4 with a 32 in. inseam. I feel your pain acutely. If you haven't been paying attention and wearing whatever and you're starting to now, I can throw a couple of clothing line recommendations. Target actually sells a really solid athletic fit jean that I have been very happy with. To the point that I bought 7 or 8 of them just to have when the others wear out. Polos: Oakley has hands down been the best fit for any polo I've ever worn. They're fairly long, they DO NOT SHRINK, and there's a ton of styles. T-shirts: Under Armor. It's like they design their clothes with fitness oriented people in mind. Weird. As a lumberjack, I know that I’ve cut exactly 2,417 trees. I know because every time I cut one, I keep a log. 6 was afraid of 7 because 7 8 9. But why did 7 eat 9? It heard you were supposed to have three squared meals a day. It’s a five minute walk from my house to the pub. It’s a 35 minute walk from the pub to my house. The difference is staggering
  14. I would have to agree. I didn't expect to be relating math to the real world. BS in Information Technology Management. A combination of a Computer Science/Information degree and a Business Management degree. Hits all my boxes for skillset and career progression.
  15. Made it back to the gym last night. And for shits and giggles stepped on the scale this morning. 249. Back down below my current maintenance weight. Fuck it. Let's go. I haven't talked about school at all. First module is done. I killed my statistics class. It might be the most fun I've had with math in decades years. I did the outline for my essay. Then didn't write my essay. Then wrote an essay to my teacher on why I didn't write my essay. and got an A on that essay. College is fucking weird, yo.
  16. Wait, following through on your good intention plans requires Effort?!
  17. The most grateful moment you will ever have about having a girl instead of a boy. That would have invariably ended up in mouth, beard, hair or any combination of the above. Also super happy the poop has changed color. We were concerned about this with grimble, she lost almost a full lb after she came home form the hospital, and we were in much the same boat with a lack of weight gain, but it turned out she wasn't feeding well because Mrs Grumble had flat nipples and and couldn't latch. Being a parent is a wild, wild ride. I have used this as a party gag. I'm not ashamed. I will also be using this reference to embarrass grimble down the road.
  18. Not for EVERYONE. (TBF I don't know any of those people so...)
  19. Thanks! We're both feeling much better! Happily enough my appetite has definitely waned,a 4 inch sub was enough for an OMAD kind of day. When you sent your healing vibes, you also sent your sarcastic ones. Just FYI.
  20. When you put it like that it sounds like a bad idea. I have some things I'm attempting, we'll see how it goes. Sorry about the radio silence, grimble came down with strep on friday, and I managed to get a stomach bug yesterday. It's been a fun week. With the sick kid my workout definitely went out the window. WIth the sick me, it jumped out the window on its own. Bleh. School is coming along nicely. I've got all my discussion stuff taken care and am working on my submitted assignments, will be done by friday most likely. Starting to get into the groove at work finally. I'm still a little overwhelmed with all the things that need to be fixed, but I'm starting to sort them out and get a plan in place.
  21. No, I was just letting you know it's still a valid strategy years down the line. Let your Pediatrician decide how concerned you should be (by which I mean call them and tell them your concerns answer their questions, and let them help make your next decision). Sleep Deprived Brain is not a good decision maker. Also, Shout out to people wondering what the opposite of in is.
  22. Boops are the best. Important parent note. 4-5 yr old girls still like nose boops. Keep that in your back pocket.
