  1. I just bought some resistance bands that come with a carry along bag. I'm going to take these to work and use them on my lunch break. Also, if your office allows it, you can sit on an exercise ball. It really works your core while you sit. My office won't allow it - my HR guy says that there is a risk for injury (this is me rolling my eyes).
  2. I also don't wear make up every day. I used to when I was younger, especially in college. I was definitely wearing it as armor, but it made my face so greasy! I had to buy those oil absorbing papers and use them constantly (of course, this was prior to the whole Bare Minerals thing). Then I had kids and got a job where I have to be at work at 5 am and I decided that I am far too lazy to wake up early enough in the morning to do my hair and make up. I still do it when I am going somewhere or if I have a performance (I'm a bellydancer, so I have to wear it), but my husband is so used to my bare face, he hates when I get made up. I do wear mascara daily, only because I have light eyelashes.
  3. Thank you! Unfortunately here in the US we don't have anything like a health visitor. The closest thing I can think of is a lactation specialist. I didn't even think about that!
  4. Hi all! A little bit about me.... I am 37 and a mom just recently for the third time. My youngest is 3 months old and I am nursing. In the past, I have been able to drop my pregnancy weight to within about 10 lbs within the first six weeks or so, but this time around (assuming it's my age), I am just storing that fat up for next winter, I guess! Prior to getting pregnant, I was running about 2.5 miles a day and doing Nike Fit Trainer nearly every day plus bellydancing 2-3 times a week. I was probably in the best shape of my life. Now I'm toting around an extra 30 pounds and I'm not sure where to begin. I know I need to start with my diet, but therein lies the rub. If I eat too much, I retain my weight. If I eat too few calories, it affects my milk production for my baby girl. So I have no idea what my calorie intake should be. Like I said before - in the past, the nursing has allowed me to return to my previous weight without my thinking about it. Now I'm stumped. I am also trying to incorporate some exercise, but it is proving difficult with my new addition. Here's my schedule - I wake up at 3 am to be at work by 5:30. I work 8 hours a day (break and lunch periods are used to pump), drive to get my daughter from school at 3:00 pm, go home and nurse the baby. I am at home until 3:45 when I load the kids in the car to pick my husband up from work. We drive home, I feed the baby again, then have maybe 45 before it's time to make dinner for the family. After dinner, we clean up, I feed the baby again, get the other kids ready for bed, and then we all go to bed around 8:30-9:00. I have very little time to exercise. I am getting 10 minutes here, 20 minutes there when I can. I am more exhausted than anything, but I'm so disgusted with my current body that I know I need to do something. So, now that I've blabbered on and on...... What exercises should I be doing to maximize the use of what little time I have? How many calories should I be consuming daily? I just don't know where to begin.....
