  1. Does anyone know of a good lactose-free pre-workout drink? I like the idea of a little caffeine boost on sluggish days. I went through a canister of Arnold (it's not a tuma) Pre-workout mix. It worked pretty well and I grew to like the taste. Now I have a NOx or NOS or something and it's fruit punch. It's about 1/2 the price but it's pretty bad tasting (think Hawaiian Punch) and I don't get to make any Arnold Schwartenscinaeowgeggr jokes about it. If you did't read my rank, I'll restate my question here: Does anyone know of a good lactose-free pre-workout drink?
  2. My back feels good! Well. Better. Haha. I had a great weekend of working out. I'm in a sort of detox for my no-GB right now and it's producing some un-fun side effects. Happy Birthday to me (better for the future, right?).
  3. I'm so sorry you're struggling! Change can be good! Scary, but good. Just leap! You can always leap back. Now's the time to take those chances. See what's out there. If anything you will have even more character than you already do (if that's possible). Be ok with the idea that it might be (probably will be) hard, because it could end up greater than you imagined! I went through all these feelings when Donnie was intervewing for a job in Texas.
  4. Thank you! It's not going too great. Haha. I can't eat too much at a time bc of my lack of gall bladder. . So I am snacking constantly. I read that calories by way of liquid is best but need to come up with something different than my usual smoothie. Thanks for asking!
  5. Had a weekend full of lifting. It was awesome! Also, I'm pretty sure I just beat a virus that I'd been fighting all week so I hope i can get back on track now. I got 2 journals to start writing in. But they are the Wreck this Journal and Finish this Book. I"m not sure if these are geared toward YA or not but they are liberating for those of who are scared of white space. Plus I think they will be a great start to my journal writing career. They came in the mail yesterday and I've already started enjoying them!
  6. Great goals! I'm loving your french practice goal. DO TELL! I may do that next time. I miss French
  7. Ok quick recap. I had to take 4 days off lifting this week due to Drs orders. I'm going tonight because I can't stand it! I will take it easy. Maybe all upper body, seated and pull-ups. Hip stretching has also been on hold and will return tonight. I've been terrible at Catestrophizing. Must. Not. Do. That. I'm well on my way to finishing my books and have started a new one. So now i have 4 going plus a funny book to balance it out. (classic Danielle). I have yet to do a creative project... Still in the thinking mode. I may make a GIANT clock but the details are complex. Thanks for the support everyone!
  8. I'm not sure you'd be jealous if you saw me doing them! Lol. So hard!! Must be more balanced. First week is ok. I'm doing well on the books part. Lifting is taking a couple days break due to Drs orders (poor timing on that one). Stretching is going well. Pain motivates more stretching. lol. Planning to hit it hard come Friday. Thanks for the support!
  9. Thank you! I read the pullups are good for lower back so I am on board all the way!
  10. I'm not sure! I did a lot of one-legged stuff that wasn't too bad. I think seated is the way to go. Thanks for the suggestions.
  11. Congrats on TM!! I'm glad you found a better group! I like ours. It's very welcoming for the most part. You always have the douche-canoes. I wrote a speech on my phone in bed at 11:45 last night. I'm thinking TM is becoming engrained (ingrained?). I'm officially VP of Education, which is perfect because I love educating some fools. Sorry you don't feel well! That sucks! Supplements kill me too. I have one more workout to get to make my three. Speaking of goals, I'm gonna head over and do those hip stretches I promised myself. Good night!
  12. I tried that with the Raisin meditation. I think that works best for me too. I liked that one. Also, did a leg workout yesterday that I gathered from websites saying "This exercise won't hurt your back" so far so good. FYI (in case anyone else has the same issue): Single Leg Box Squats (boy am I not balanced) Lunges with dumbbells Single leg stiff leg deadlifts with dumbbells Box Jumps Single leg squats And I'm about 1/2-way through my Doodling book. I love it so much, I don't want it to end. I'm sketching out concepts all over the place at work! I love it.
  13. Yay! Friends. Pull-ups were hard to get. I started at 0 early spring. And just kept at. I started with the Table Pull-ups I learned about on NF. Now I try to incorporate 5 sets of 2 in my arm workouts. It's TOUGH! Please help me with meditation. I have a hard time turning my mind off. Thanks Alanna.
  14. I will now be journaling as part of meditation goal. Good tip.
