  1. Since I have very limited access at the moment, I'll do a quick wrap-up, much to my chagrin at rather posting a much longer analysis and RP. Weeks 5 and six resulted in the following: Goal 1: BGoal 2: AGoal 3: CGoal 4: A This results in the following Attribute Increases (Mini-Quest and 1-per-attribute for completing the 6-week quest): STR: 3DEX: 2.63STA: 2.94CON: 3.94WIS: 3.75CHA: 2.88Signature update coming and while I would love to come back to this and clean it up once I get better access, I'm being realistic in saying that it will be a long time coming, if at all. Thank you all very much for your following and support and I look forward to joining you in the next 6 weeks!

Now that I managed to squeak out a few bytes of data coverage, I'll be joining the Rangers. See you on the trail, fellow Rebels!
  3. No, I haven't disappeared. Yes, I've been keeping up with the challenges though my travels have led to much less than stellar cellular/data reception. I should be able to post Friday or so in more detail but until then...Death, or Glory!
  4. Hmm...maybe it's me who has it wrong. Either that, or there's more than one way to skin this "character" cat...

Also, this might be petty, but how was Week 4 a challenge when there is no reward? Carrot, stick, and all that. Speaking of carrots...
  6. Week Five Day Four Goal 1: Complete. Goal 2: Complete. Goal 3: Complete. Goal 4: Complete. A very, very full day that nearly didn't involve sweating. I barely managed at least some physical activity at the end by weedeating the garden pathways in 95 degree heat. As an aside, wear pants (not shorts), especially if it's gravel.

Fayrn, nice job catching up on all the mini-quests and great progress on your challenge. Keep it up! As to the Week 5 mini-challenge, I'm a huge fan of Cooks Illustrated (America's Test Kitchen) though unfortunately all of their recipes are behind a pay wall. A close second would be Pioneer Woman (especially for breakfast) and being a Southerner at heart, here's a great one for sausage biscuits and gravy: Sausage gravy and Drop Biscuits
  8. So...with all the excitement of a forest fire less than two miles from the house and wondering if we'll need to evacuate at any time, I've gotten a bit behind in my posting. No excuses! Week Five Day OneGoal 1: NF Post Failure. Goal 2: CompleteGoal 3: Dry Fire failure.Goal 4: Complete.Oddly enough, I didn't look closely at the workout plan and it's 4 weeks long with one week of rest between it and the next plan. That wouldn't be a hug problem, but I'm leaving for training Saturday and won't be back until August and availability of an olympic-weight equipped gym during that period is questionable. I'm still trying to determine what I'm going to do during the drive and after I get there but until then, I'll be repeating Week 4. Week Five Day TwoGoal 1: NF Post Failure. Goal 2: CompleteGoal 3: Dry Fire failure.Goal 4: Complete.Week Five Day ThreeGoal 1: Complete.Goal 2: CompleteGoal 3: Complete.Goal 4: Complete.
  9. It's a "slow burn" kind of game in that there is a fair amount of reading /story vs. action but the visuals and atmosphere are excellent. Sent from my LGLS990 using Tapatalk
  10. I'm glad to hear that you're seeing/feeling progress and I understand the issue of wavering. Please keep us updated on what Swift says tomorrow!
  11. Congrats on 305lbs a few days ago and I'm still getting over a 12 hour play. I'm a huge fan of ancient history but you show a dedication to the Hellenistic period that I, at this time, do not have!

I hate to be "that guy" but I'm counting 11 attribute points. Did I miss something? I'm saying this in an assistance mode, not because I'm OCD.
  14. I know, I know, waiting until the buzzer to get the mini-challenge done but I had to re-read Blaidd's post and then go back to Spezzy and back again before I realized that I had mis-read the attribute allocation for my quests (I assigned 15 points total rather than 10 at 3-weeks with a follow-up of 1 per attribute after the 6 weeks). So, with a bit of editing, my original post has been updated as has my signature. Overall, I feel that I have been doing very well in most of my categories, though getting into the garden and dry firing have been problematic for me. If I had to be honest concerning the quality vs the quantity of my quiet times/Bible reading/prayer life, I would be lower than the numbers might indicate and I think I'll try to take into consideration at the end. Regardless, I've been pleased with my progress and hope know that I'll be able to carry it through to the end. Thanks for all the silent supporters out there and here's to two more weeks! All individual activities are weekly assessed with the following breakdown (with the "no/not" items inverted) and then averaged for the overall goal progression: 6-7 times a week: A (100%)4-5 times a week: B (75%)2-3 times a week: C (50%)0-1 times a week: F (0%)For weekday-only items items (indicated with an *), the grading is as follows: 5 times a week: A (100%)3-4 times a week: B (75%)2-3 times a week: C (50%)0-1 times a week: F (0%)Goal 1 (Spiritual/Mental): (+2 Wis / +1 Cha) Quiet Time/PrayerScripture ReadingNot Snoozing the alarm clockTo read 3 booksPosting my results on the NF forumGoal 2 (Physical): (+1 Str / +1 Sta / +1 Con) Gym / Running *Goal 3 (Skills/Chores): (+2 Dex) Visiting the garden for weeding/harvesting/oversightDry Fire (rifle and/or sidearm)Goal 4 (Nutrition): (+1 Con / +1 Sta) No lunch desserts *No drinking during the week *So, the breakdown is as follows (with allocation): Goal 1: 87.5% (+1.75 Wis/ +0.88 Cha)Goal 2: 100% (+2 Str / +1 Sta)Goal 3: 81.25% (+1.63 Dex)Goal 4: 93.75% (+0.94 Con / +0.94 Sta)
