  1. Oh, and I also completed Mini Quest 1 (or so I hope), so looking forward to adding that +1WIS point
  2. Day 1 (almost) complete, and so far so good! Goal 1: I woke up this morning after two awful nightmares (I've been having them way too frequently lately) with a ton of anxiety, so I was a little discouraged and lacking motivation to do any yoga. Luckily, I opened my e-mails and saw a bunch of posts in The Juice Bar and decided to push myself anyway. I found some yoga online specific to my terrible mood, which helped a lot, and I pushed myself to do an hour of it as soon as I left bed. Yay me! Goal 2: Since today's my day off of work, I didn't really leave the house, therefore I was able to keep myself from eating any junk. Since I slept in late and yoga took a while, by the time I made myself food it was lunch time, so I heated up some leftovers from the night before (homemade tomato sauce and ravioli with homemade meat loaf) in some olive oil over the stove. DISCLAIMER: Although it may not have been the healthiest (carbs and cheese, eek!), for my first challenge I really just wanted to slowly change my awful eating habits without doing too much too fast. The fact that everything I made was HOMEmade was good enough for me. Instead of my morning tea I also tried my hand at coffee, bulletproof style (blending brewed coffee with coconut oil and butter). I've always wanted to try it since I love the taste of coffee but hate the jitters and stomach-aches. I have to say, it was insanely delicious and addicting, but I think I'll limit it to a weekly treat (there's a lot of controversy as to whether or not bulletproof coffee is linked to high cholesterol - in my opinion, there are worse things out there!). To balance out my heavy - and late - lunch, I had some fruit and yogurt for dinner. Goal 3: I am happy to say I drank 8 cups of water today. Woohoo! Very happy with my first day in the challenge. 5 weeks and 6 days left to go
  3. Mini Quest 1 complete!
  4. Haha, I probably should've been a bit more clear about that, the event is a two-day festival where I'll be wearing a bikini. The naked part is unrelated! Although that does make it seem like quite a questionable event...
  5. Introduction: Hi! I'm Kitty, a newbie. I'm 5'2" and weigh approximately 110 pounds, which is pretty average for me but a few pounds over what my comfortable body weight is. I followed a fairly healthy diet while I was away at college but ever since I've been home I've been stuck in a rut of eating junk, and I don't work out at all so I've been constantly feeling lethargic and unmotivated. I'm not very athletic but I used to be a dancer and I love yoga, so I can see myself streamlining towards the Druid path (although I'm fascinated by the Assassin one and may dabble in that later on). So excited for this challenge! Main Quest: Sorry in advance for the generality - my main quest is to slim down and firm up! Quest 1: Drink at least 6-8 cups of water daily. Measurement: A = 6-8 cups per day; B = 3-5 cups per day; C = 1-2 cups per day Reward: A = +3 CON; B = +2 CON; C = +1 CON Quest 2: Stop eating processed foods completely (except for one cheat meal once a week). Measurement: A = 1 cheat meal per week; B = 2-3 cheat meals per week; C = 4 cheat meals per week Reward: A = +3 CON, +2 WIS; B = +2 CON, +1 WIS; C = +1 CON Quest 3: Stay active by doing 30 minutes of yoga 3-5 times a week. Measurement: A = 3-5 times a week; B = 2 times a week; C = 1 time a week Reward: A = +3 STA, +2 STR, B = +2 STA, +1 STR, C = +1 STA Life Quest: Finish "The Great Gatsby" by the end of the 6 weeks. Measurement: A = finished completely; B = 3/4 of the way done; C = halfway done Reward: A = +2 WIS, B = +1 WIS, C = +0.5 WIS Motivation: I have an event coming up in the next six weeks and I want to feel hot in a bikini (and naked). Did I mention my ex will be there?
