  1. Hiiii! It's September, which means a new Delta on board magazine - this month featuring "5 ways to do Boston." Saw this and thought of you . Also, the UA gymnastics commercial - [emoji7][emoji7][emoji7]. Also also, North Carolina you say? Whereabouts? [emoji848] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Whaddaya know, I'm still alive! I did some lifts last weekend - 77/80/83x and 94/97/100x at 83 bodyweight. So so numbers for me - neither horrible nor great. I don't have access to the spreadsheet though - can someone punch me in?
  3. Masters weightlifting 4lyfe! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Sorry about the Jayhawks, you had to know that was coming as soon as you decided to watch. Congratulations on the no-fatigue and the weight loss and the house! Glad you're here! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  6. Sinclair doesn't normalize between women and men. The women's Sinclair ratio is to get to what you would theoretically lift as a 75+, where the men's Sinclair ratio is to get to what Niccolo would lift as a 105+. I think I saw a rough swag on Reddit that you would multiply a women's Sinclair by 1.44 to normalize to men's, but that's not a perfect science either since Sinclair is based on WRs and the women's world records still aren't as mature. 7. Did some lifts. They were super shitty. 74/77x/77x snatch 90/94x/94x c&j 81.5 bw https://youtu.be/7CltzvSiVL0 (Also, I can't update the sheet on mobile - can someone add my results?) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Week 2 update! Did some more workouts: Full lifts went way better than last week, so thumbs up there. Jerks continue to be the weak point. Jerked out of the rack up to a heavy single yesterday - up through 95 without much trouble. Couldn't quite stick 100 (but it was really close). Goals! 1) Less good about extra credit. I got my dip bars mounted in the garage, and have been getting a fair amount of those in, but could still stand some more band work. 2) Career stuff in motion - interviewing for that new position this week, but still not sure what I want to do. More conversations to be had yet. 3) I actually took some pictures this week! I still suck at this, but here's some shots anyway. This is from the Valentine's bouquet for Mrs Roo. I don't think there's anything particularly unique or creative about this shot, but flowers are pretty so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. Sidenote, had these pegged for her office since she is actually working in an office for the first time in a few years, but Baby Roo got sick so she had to stay home on Friday. Oh well, I tried. I was playing Carcasonne Jr with Lil Roo, and for the first time, he really figured out the game and was super proud of it. Used that as an opportunity to try and take an interesting picture. Didn't really love any of them, but hated this one the least. And then I threw a black hat (3 double bulls) in darts for the first time ever. I'm a relatively good dart thrower, but I've never managed to pull that off before (and I don't even want to think about how many thousands of darts I've thrown over the years). I've hit 180 a number of times (3 treble 20s), which is actually worth more point wise, but there's something pretty exciting about squeezing 3 darts into that tiny bullseye. Anyway, again challenged myself to take an interesting picture of it, and came away with my favorite shot of the weekend. I was having a conversation with one of my friends afterward, and we were discussing that as novices, it's easy to get seduced by macro shots like this, since the detail and depth of field are things we aren't used to seeing. I really need to get outside and work more on composition, but all in due time I guess. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  11. You guys can just consolidate in this thread, I'm sure Raptron won't mind . Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. I feel you on the paczki - it's a big deal in the Detroit area, not so much down here :/. Also, that floor routine made sportscenter, so that's cool. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. It's more that the cleaner comes in and cleans the counters, mops the floors, scrubs the bathrooms, etc, and they can't do that if our dishes, toys, and dirty laundry are still all over the place. As much as a pain in the ass as it is to scramble to get everything picked up (as it is every week), it at least forces us to do it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Absolutely, food scales for sandwiches are the best. Weigh bread (I often buy round loaves or things with uneven slice sizes), zero scale, add (meat/cheese/peanut butter/whatever), zero scale, repeat. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. None of that bothers me. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
