  1. Well here I am again in the recruits because I was not very successful last time.. but this time I am here and ready for the challenge so bring it on! My main quest is to compete in a mud run and a triathlon Quest 1: Eat a real meal at least once a day. This year at school i will be staying in an apartment instead of on campus so i will have to really plan out meals because i tend to get forgetful Quest 2: I can only eat store bought dairy products once a week. I'm not supposed to eat dairy but I have been having a difficult time cutting it out so I figured I'd start slowly and still let myself eat homemade stuff since that isn't often. Quest 3: this has to do with leveling up my life as well at fitness. Create a regular sleeping schedule, my sleeping habits have been really irregular and i'd like to get that under control. So going to bed around the same time every night and getting 8hrs of sleep. I really tanked the last quest but now i know more about the quests and have more specific goals so i know I will be successful this time around.
  2. should we start the facebook message? i think that would be a great way to keep each other accountable without texting rates! lol my name is Anna Martin is anyone wants to use fb messaging! of course it's a really common name so i might be hard to find..

  4. i like the idea of phrasing it as "I don't" rather than "i can't". it makes it feel like it's more my decision rather than something forced upon me. I am definitely an emotional eater whether i'm upset, angry, or even just frustrated with myself or lack of progress (which of course is counter intuitive) I am also kind of impulsive like if i'm walking past a bakery or at the store i'll just crave it and need to get it. but mostly emotional
  5. those are all great ideas! maybe i'll plan out my meals before hand to eliminate the extra variables. setting rewards for myself should help, unfortunately i'm more extrinsically motivated than intrinsically thank you so much for the suggestions, i really appreciate it!
  6. I started out strong for like three days.. but i have little to no self control when it comes to food. cake? yes please. Ice cream? how about three scoops. don't even get me started on french fries I know that it isn't bad to indulge every once in a while but for me it's all or nothing. once i allow myself to eat junk that's all i want. plus i have a dairy sensitivity so it makes me sick and i have bad acid reflux so fried food needs to be out of the picture. I just have no idea how to keep myself on the wagon because i've fallen off of it every single time. and the only person i have to keep myself accountable is me and that doesn't work so well.. if anyone has any suggestions i'd love to hear them
  7. I love the idea of the online pal thing too! I really need someone to kick my ass when it comes to working out and keep me accountable and I'd love to help someone else with that too! I'm Anna, 21 and i live on the east coast but I'll be going to California soon for school. I LOVE superhero movies, i can't get enough of them as well as The Hobbit/Lord of the Rings I'm an aspiring assassin, but first I need to actually continue going to the gym and eating well The food thing is my biggest problem, I have a tendency to binge eat Let me know if you are interested!

  9. I'm in! 21, 5'4" (barely) fairly fit I can do a few pull ups, like 5, but I pretty much rely on the momentum of me jumping to grab the bar to carry me through. So not the proper way. I'm hoping I can build those muscles without using the actual bar because it's in the center of the main workout area..

    Hi! My name is Anna aka Hippolyte (for one of the most famous leaders of the Amazons, those women were badass). I have been relatively fit my whole life but multiple surgeries and my own lack of motivation have prevented me from reaching my true potential. I want to make the world my playground and not let lack of strength or overall fitness hold me back. Too often I stand in my own way and I'm hoping NF will put that to a stop. My main quest is to be able to do 3 reps of 10 pull ups; I'd like to be able to lift my own bodyweight Quest 1: workout for at least 45 minutes (good, focused workouts) 5x a week Quest 2: no regularly eating dairy. I have a dairy sensitivity so it makes me sick but I have little self control.. (exceptions are things like my 93 yr old grandma's cinnamon buns, not cupcakes that my coworkers brought in) Quest 3: stretch everyday. I have naturally tight muscles and stretching is something I tend to neglect I have a lot of trouble staying motivated past a week and I tend to just want to eat junk, but I want to finally stick with it. I'm young and would like to get my body in peak shape to allow myself to go farther and harder. To be able to climb anything, flip over stuff, etc I'm excited to meet everyone here!!
