  1. A rather eventful update: Reached a new goal: 185 lbs down from 263 lbs Woot! Around the same time I hit this goal, I hadn't been feeling well for awhile and when the pain got too much one weekend, went to the ER and turned out I had multiple huge freaking gallstones (the smallest was like 4 cms). So gallbladder came out and another procedure took stones out pf my bile duct as well (which had led to a massive infection and a very very pissed off liver).Spent 4 days in the hospital and in the end some interesting things happened which I will write about later. Right now I'm recovering at my sister's house in Atlanta who is also recovering from a partial hysterectomy she had 3 weeks ago. This makes it easier for friends and family to visit/help care for us. All in all I would say this was a big wake up call for me. Even though my vitals were good (low blood pressure, low cholesterol and I'm no longer obese), I almost died cause of the stone in my bile duct would have ruptured either my liver or gallbladder within a day (doc exaggerated most likely) but they operated even though I had no health insurance. The stones weren't moving which made them a big deal. I thought I was getting healthier but when I first started getting the gallstone attacks, I should have seen a doctor and not try to WebMD myself. It would have saved me a year worth of pain. While I recover, I plan to revisit my health goals and take them a little more seriously. With no gallbladder I really have to watch my diet and exercise so I don't put on serious weight.   2. Didn't quit, just got busy. Still walking everyday but not hitting the gym like I was. Going to teach myself how to use the smith machine here at the house cause walking to the gym then to work is killing time that I don't have room for in my day. (40 mins each way when I could be working out at home/cooking instead) So I'm swapping gym for running/bodyweights and when I get a car, I'll hit the gym again. Sent from my MB860 using Tapatalk 2

  4. Back to gym today. Saw a couple of regulars and a lot of new faces. Did arms and core today. Added planking, sit-ups and obliques. (Until I add lifting, I need something else to help tone the middle here. Just tired of this weird boxy shape I have right now.) On a personal note, I've been writing a lot more and looking for solid paying job. I've decided to take a break from school. Just need to figure out what direction I want my career to go into cause I keep bouncing back and forth. (Terrified of picking the wrong career). I'm passionate about so many things that it's hard to focus on one. And unfortunately you can no longer make money having a life like a poor modern day Di vinci if you have no money to eat.   12. 2.5 mile walk which I've shaved time off over the past couple of weeks. Still can't run but I'm hoping I will next week. I've been getting light-headed at the gym so I started mixing a cup of OJ with a liter of water and today I didn't have any problems at all =) Did full arm/shoulder/core circuit early this morning. Did do leg press but to be honest thats my favorite exercise and I gain really fast in my legs (strength, not so much muscle). Up to 180 lbs there which was my goal for the week to be able to rep ten of them full squats without problems. My goal is 260 by the end of the summer. So I'm attaching badly taken pics of my translucent legs so you can see the definition I'm noticing. =) And today's random image...   13. Great workout. Added ten lbs to my bench press. Seeing gains in every exercise by 5 to 10 lbs for the week. Right arm is more stable finally. Working out is becoming my favorite part of the gym. A guy even approached my workout buddies and me and said that he liked seeing us work hard at the gym. Made my day =) Not seeing weight loss on the scale but I'm still under 200 lbs so I'm happy with results so far. I think I'm finally kicking smoking. Had first one today since Thursday but I didn't buy a pack. Just bummed it so that keeps me from smoking a whole pack. I feel better overall. Withdrawal sucks and I'm a crab ass but working out helps alleviate the moodiness. For once it pays to live alone. Eventually I'll start writing down the exercises as soon as I learn the names of them. Mainly machines but I'm not going to feel super guilty cause I know that I'm working on getting stronger everyday. End of summer goal... A workout list like Katscratch!   16. I have no but. Seriously, none. I look like a frog with boobs, skinny legs and then boobs. I want junk in the trunk. I know I know squats and deadlifts. But seriously, how long before I get a butt? I've never had one and I'd love to fill out my jeans instead of looking like an 80 yr old grandpa in overalls.   17. At the gym: Bra, sports bra and a compression tank (One of those slimming tanks) Makes all the difference in bouncing at the gym. Yes it smushes the girls and makes them smaller but its so much easier to work out when the girls are out of the way.   18. I'm gonna contribute "She's a good cook" to men being men. Here's something I noticed. Men compliment their partners and women don't accept them well. My ex used to tell me I was beautiful all of the time and I never could believe him. It took a huge argument for him to point out "Just say thank you and believe me. Why would I lie to you?" Women take action compliments better because we know that we're a good cook, or we are nice to others. So men take notice and start complimenting those things because we do believe them. But we get messed up when people say "You look amazing!" and we're taught to be humble so we brush it off, oh no I'm a mess today instead of a simple thank you with a bright smile. =) Seriously we just walk around calling people liars when we don't accept compliments.   21. Went easy today. Two mile walk, 1 1/2 at gym, legs and dumb bell training. I like Fridays because there aren't a lot of people there and I did have the gym to myself for a good 1/2 hr until one of my favorite eye candy men walked in =) Can't say I minded in the least. This one is my type all over. Tall, dark hair, facial hair/beard, broad shoulders, with a little padding that suggests he appreciates a beer here and there. He looks like a lumberjack that went corporate and its :drooling: delicious. Anyways :fans self:Whoo got hot in here all of a sudden. All in all, good workout. Sent from my MB860 using Tapatalk 2
  22. Thanks Kat! You rock girl! Workout was great! Yay for leg day. Best part? 140lbs on leg press/squat machine thingy. Plus thats my first time doing it since 2008! Oh and... my eye candy today?   24. Heck yeah! Fasted today which wasn't intentional but had a great workout and lots of energy! Walked 3 miles briskly, and worked on shoulders and back at the gym. Watched a chick do some bad ass deadlifts and I'm totally inspired! But she caught me looking and frowned at me. Really? So thats twice she's given me dirty looks so pffft I'm just gonna ask a guy to show me. Saw one today who seemed to know what he was doing.   25. Woot woot! Keep at it girl! Our goal weights are the same =) Just keep toning and keep hydrated, the skin will tighten up. I've got the same issue there but for now I try to see it as a small trophy of all my weight lost.
