it's not on my Netflix :-(

Yep, walking is on my goals for this challenge - but since every time I move I cough, it's out of the question for the moment. Stretching I can do though. nope, no push ups of any sort, no planks, no repetitive motions, knitting hurts, shoulder hurts when I run. I can swing the can of beans gently keeping it low, that's it. I'm still doing squats though, I do them when I'm brushing my teeth so it's a habit :-) My 4 goals are eating well (sugar once a week, wheat twice, cheese 3 times), walking to at least 1000 on my misfit, being mindful for at least 5 mins a day and self care. If I replaced the eating and walking goals with drinking enough water and stretching daily when I'm ill at least I'd be working towards something, seems a bit lame though, I miss lifting

well I'm resisting sugar other than cough sweets and cough medicine! and honey in drinks :-) I did eat the chocolate bar because I've planned for something sweet once a week but it didn't make me feel better, no need to do that again :-) I need a plan B for when I feel ill, since clearly I always have a cold

I'm not doing the big give up but I do feel scuppered at every turn. I've just about got my knee rehabbed then my rotator cuff goes and I get another bloody cold. The rotator cuff is a turd, osteo says no lifting anything over shoulder height, nothing repetitive, nothing heavier than a tin of beans.... it's taking ages to heal. I start every challenge with great intentions then get derailed by other things - I need a derailing strategy - a back up plan. My eating is pretty under control now but when I feel really rough I just don't have the energy to stay on primal plan - last night was toasted sandwiches...... Sorry to moan, there are good things in all this - I'm in a better place food wise than I was this time last year, I'm doing much better at sleep and self care too but getting fit meets obstacles.

what is it called? It sounds interesting.

Thanks, I'll try to find Rockrose - a quick google said it's supposed to strengthen the immune system. I have been getting out a little every day - food goals are shot, mostly because i don't have the energy to cook twice, once for carb boy and once for me, so I'm just cooking what he eats and eating it myself. Though, despite this I still haven't had any sugar this week (I have a chocolate bar I'm considering but don't feel that passionate about) and I haven't eaten junk food at all, all I've done is had wheat more than twice this week and cheese more than 3 times - that is still way better than it was this time last year.
-
but I'm always sick, this is getting silly. I have ginger, lemon, thyme and elderflower tea brewing on the stove........ I think this week might be a right off but I'll keep to the food plan as much as I can.

another cold, I only got over the last big one after Xmas. It's a stinking one too, running eyes and nose, cough..... it means I can't keep to my walking goal, for this week at least.
-
yes please, I had a google and it said Crocus? Bad nights sleep, eyes and nose streaming, coughing......I will not meet my walking target this week

I have the Vitabotics Ferraglobin and B12 Plus - they have vit c, vit d, zinc etc..... they were both reduced to about £7 each.

I'm using First Defence, it doesn't make much of a difference. I'm going to Holland and Barrett later to pay a small fortune for snake oil

yep, I have loads of stress coping strategies I used daily and I'm getting much better at taking time out and coping generally. Sleep has always been bad though, I'll make it part of next challenge.

found you! great challenge! I've just finished 6 months of not buying clothes - not even from charity shops. I'll do it again but I did have fun buying new stuff last week :-)

I've got yet another stupid poxy cold. I seem to have no resiliance to them at the moment. And I've had a troublesome client, and I've not been sleeping. So although I'm on track, I'm not very motivated. Been too busy to eat much though.

week one done and dusted.

I'm working hard on my mindset - but the 'and lose weight' is everywhere! Saturday plan - breakfast, leftover venison sausages, veg and egg, kale and avocado smoothie. lunch will be out with a friend and I need a plan to make it wheat and cheese free - I'll check out the menu beforehand. dinner depends on what I'm doing, might be kale and apple soup, might be something out again........... I've had a lie in, I'm about to have a nice long bath with the shiny bit of the newspaper... happy weekend everyone

so tired, it's the week off the pill so I've had nights of no temperature regulation - and the cats have gone nuts stalking something behind the skirting board, at 3am. anyway. I've realised how difficult it is to take away the lose weight priority - it comes after everything - eat healthy food (and lose weight), get more exercise (and lose weight), drink more water (and lose weight)...... even the man at the veg shop said that if I concentrated on eating well I'd probably lose weight after I'd told him that I'm trying to lose that mindset. I bought loads of new clothes yesterday - I had a bet with my son for 6 months of not buying new or charity shop clothes and that has finished so yesterday I bought new things that make me feel good. and the new (hopefully working) misfit tracker has arrived - fantastic customer service, here in 4 days from America!

Thursday - today I'm going to get my shoulder seen to by the osteopath - session 2. I'm also going clothes shopping.

Day 2, walked a lot, dinner was risotto because I had trout that needed using up. So today is a cheese day, I'll rearrange the plan for the week. Feeling good, lots of energy and I slept so well last night! Hope I'm not tempting fate for tonight!

There is a really brilliant course on Coursera starting Jan 18th. https://www.coursera.org/learn/happiness It is free but you can choose to pay for a certificate if you feel like it. I did the last course and I feel loads better than I did at the start of it, there are talks by experts, tasks to do, a helpful discussion area and its fun too.
