1. Return to Slow-Carb Diet (Lose 10 pounds) Apply to 3 Jobs per week Attend Muay Thai 3 Classes Per Week 45 Kettlebell swings/ 3 times per week. Been awhile hasn’t it? I don’t have a long story to tell. I have goals and I want to accomplish them. I did not lay out the point system this time, I wanted to keep everything as simple as possible. That is the direction I want to go in, Confident and Simple. For the first goal, I basically want to return to my sustainable diet, the Slow Carb Diet and along the way, I might throw in some Intermittent Fasting before my cheat day. By the end of the challenge, I am looking to lose 10 pounds, which I will track each day in the morning. My second goal: I was terminated from my job. I had a mixture of relief and misery. On the one hand, I was miserable, really miserable at that place. On the other hand, well...I need a job or a way to make money. I hit the pavement pretty immediately in looking for a new job, with no real look, so I plan to send out more resumes than before. I plan to push for at least three resumes/applications per week. My third and fourth goals and focusing on fitness. Along with a good diet, I want t, and need to, be more active. That simple really. Here are my goals and plans. Here's my return to the Monks...Here I Go!
2. Hey party people, I think I am going to have to withdraw from this challenge. My depressions kinda hitting harder than usual and I am tracing a bit of it back to my issues asking out a girl. I don't wanna get to into it, but now is not the best time to count the challenges. I will still work on most of them, but I have too much mentally on my plate. See ya around next time. (I'm probably going to hate myself for typing this in the morning. UGH.)
3. Yeah I do some freelance blogging now and in the next few weeks I should be completing two bigger features.
4. Ugh... Well last week wasn't the best. Just the worst of it: my student loans are due two months ahead of schedule and I was really running low on money after Otakon so that was really consuming my worries for the week. Also, I started going back to my Muay Thai clases, which were more advanced but I really cranked my neck saturday and it's been real tough for the last day or so. Anyway let'slook at the progress: 1. My first goal I had an idea of just asking out a female coworker and seeing if they would be available and just hanging out and talking. The main woman I wanted to ask was not there friday so I planned to ask another friend who wasn't available. That would have been fine, but then she said she "maybe" could hangout in the future. Now, because of my issues with depression, while I could completely rationalize that she just was not free this weekend, I took it uber-hard and it kind of dragged me down for the weekend. But I am going to make more of an effort and ask two coworkers this week to hangout over the weekend. 2. Still chugging along with Kanji and I think I should start kicking it up this week. Hopefully 15 in total by Saturday. 3. If it weren'r for my money fears the job search would be a little easier. I'm starting to get a better idea of what to look for so now I think I till be taking the next steps in reformting my resume and applying. 4. Haven't even touched the pushups. So, I wanted to pose a question to you guys, just to help my perspective. One of the exercises from the job search book takes some skills and knowledge and match them with perspective jobs. I wanted to share this with you rebels just to see what other opportunities people might have: Skills: Working with space Writing Imaginative Showing Foresight Drawing People Out Knowledge Music/radio/record label podcasting art So any suggestions would be appreciated. Peace.
5. A little progress update. My diet having changed to mostly Primal, has actually been the best so far. I am losing more weight then usual, so there is a plus. I'm still working out the whole asking a girl out, but I am formulating some plans (diabolical of course) and should be better the following weeks. My Job search is slowly but surely coming back to life. I am reading a book called What Color Is Your Parachute which has helped me focus on what I want out of my career path and where I would like to go. Kanji I have three words down and can probably get six more before the weekend. Also, I hate doing this, but this is for one of my goals and I am trying be as open as possible, does anyone have advice on building confidence and asking out a member of the opposite sex.......i said "sex"
6. Yo you awesome people. So I've been in the process of rearranging my diet, with some good results. I now begin the morning with my Egg Bake, though I will have to fill it with meat in the future, I just didn't have the money at the time. Also, my new lunch and dinner now is the stir fry, which looks a little something like this: I think I am on a much better path. (n_n)
7. First, your picture....woah. Second, thanks for the words of encouragement. Third, Interactive journalism, how can I explain it. I'll take it frame by frame it.... let me link you actually to my University's website, because that's actually the best way to explain it. I always have a bit of difficulty. http://www.american.edu/soc/journalism/interactive_journalism.cfm Added bonus, I'm in that picture in the front, that's my graduating class.
8. I do interview's with friends and ask them about their favorite music and where it falls in with their lives. It's kinda like Marc Maron's WTF and SoundOpinion. Here's the latest episode: http://www.elliotthermanwallace.com/blog/2012/08/rozvanderpool-i-wanna-hang-out-with-mark-wahlburg/
9. That's actually a good idea. I think I will name my next challenges after my favorite anime...Dirt Pair. No scratch that.
10. Garageband as my software and Two Blue Snowball USB Mics.
11. Hard fought battles. The thing deep down that Elros knew about too well. He know what it was like to take the punches, the kicks, the stones, the daggers and the arrows, from foes and from friends. In his younger days, Elros lived a normal, but privileged life. And yet, that life of privilege had its drawbacks. For years, Elros had difficulty staying physically fit, competitive and healthy. This brought on great mockery, torment, disdain from peers. Elros would shut down every so often from the world, often listening to music (like Nirvana) or playing games on his own (Like Crash Bandicoot or Final Fantasy 7.) As he grew older, Elros confidence would grow only slightly, compared to his own anguish at his tormentors. As he grew older, Elros grew more alone and had difficulty rely in a friend or finding a person to love. As he grew older, Elros stopped growing, emotionally, spiritually and physically. However, after finding a band of Monks (and finishing his Masters in Interactive Journalism) Elros decided to fight for what he needed in his life. The years of battle have made him hard, both on the inside and on the outside. Now, after decades of battle Elros has decided that he will make his own choices on who he will fight, what the battles will be and what the terms are. This time, Elros will not only scale the mountain that stands before so many rebels, but he will tear a hole through the side of the mountain and stand with pride among the other rebels, recruits, monks, druids, rangers, warriors, humans, fairies... But, are there unknown enemies in Elros’s path and how will he survive them? ELROS: CHAPTER 3, THE CHARGE UP THE MOUNTAIN. Goals: 1. 13. Thank you Khenning. Two things: Do you have recipes for these dishes? When you say increase fat, what would be the best way to do so?
14.
