  1. I got in an awesome strength/cardio workout yesterday morning with my sister. Today I did some yoga and groceries for the week. Overall a good weekend staying on track.
  2. Today I successfully kept myself in check with allll the food. I didn't restrict but didn't go overboard so that was a win! No workouts but plan on making it a priority tomorrow.
  3. Good lord this challenge has gotten away from me. I've been so focused on all the things going on that I keep forgetting I'm even doing it. Last week I intended to log in daily and I don't think I did once. I'm going to try and end this challenge on a higher note than I started on, and I've set notifications for twice a day, once In the morning to remind me of my goals, and once in the evening to update my thread. Nutritionally I've been doing ok, but my workouts have not been taking priority the way they should. Anyways thanks for the support!
  4. Thanks Week 2 has been much better and I feel like I'm gaining some momentum! I've cooked all meals and brought my own lunch to work every day this week, but I've only done strength twice. I also need to walk more often, I've only done that twice as well. For week 3 I will try posting daily to keep myself accountable. So far today I've eaten a healthy breakfast and did a bunch of housework. This afternoon I'll take a walk and do some stretching
  5. Hi guys! Thanks so much for checking in. I'll be honest week one has been rough. I've been coping with the loss of a friend and have had a super hard time with motivation to exercise or cook or do anything really. Good news is that I got up this morning and worked out, and I'm working on a meal plan for next week. Also good news is that I miraculously didn't gain weight this week!
  6. Thanks for the welcome and advice guys! I definitely wanted to keep my goals simple so I don't overwhelm myself, I think that has been a huge part of my downfall in the past.
  7. Hey everyone! So I tried this once before but only lasted a couple of weeks, so this time I am more determined to follow through. I want to essentially keep my goals the same, and focus less on the scale and more on how I feel and how my clothes are fitting. Main Quest: go down one size! I am currently a 16 and will be a 14 or less by the end of this challenge. Sub quests: 1) strength train 3x per week, no excuses. 2) no binging or snacking on processed garbage. 3) cardio and stretching on non-strength training days Life quest: spend time each week painting or being creative in general. No matter how busy I get I should be making time to do things that are important to me. Let's go!
  8. Hey! So I know I'm a little late to the party, but I've had my goals written out for a couple of weeks so I'm not REALLY late. I'm Kim, I'm 30 and this is my first challenge. One of the things I'm trying really hard to do is focus less on the scale, so my goals for this challenge will center on helping myself to find success and motivation in how I feel and how my clothes are fitting. So, here goes! Main Goal: Drop one size. I am currently a size 16 and will be a 14 by the end of this challenge. Quest 1: Meal plan every week, do groceries and prep as necessary. One of my biggest challenges is making sure I have healthy lunches/snacks to bring to work, and I am more motivated to cook a healthy dinner when it is already planned ahead of time. This will go a long way in keeping me on track! Quest 2: Work out a minimum of 3x per week. I will focus on strength training and walking/stretching on rest days. Quest 3: Drink more water. I will aim for 100 oz per day. Life/Side quest: Spend at least 1 hour per week painting. It doesn't sound like much, but it has been months since I've completed a painting. I realize that I need to make time for the things I love to do, and I need to paint to de-stress and feel grounded. It is important and I will make the time.
