Alas I won't be able to put a total tally on from the start of my journey in January. In hindsight it would have been cool to do that.I should have ripped off Kenobi sooner.
  2. Hot! Awesome Kenobi! That will be pretty amazing to get to 3K this year considering how you started the year.

  4. Good luck man! I am in this same boat. That's why I finally started a battle log. I missed typing in my daily activities. I found myself not giving it my all and doing just enough to maintain. I will be subscribing to your log man!

  8. Hey Everyone. I have not posted much since the blogs went away. No fears though I haven't fallen off the wagon. This is a Loooooooong post! Just to update for people that don't know me I joined NF in January, 6'1" weighing in at 270 lbs. I wore size 44 pants and either XL or XXL shirts. I was getting married in May and I didn't want to be huge in my wedding photos or on my honeymoon. I wanted my wife to be proud of who she was marrying and I wanted to make sure I would be around for her for a long time. Plus, I just wanted to look good. I was tired of being called "Big Guy." I went Paleo and started the Beginner Body Weight Workout. I dropped 57 lbs for the wedding in May getting down to 213. Today I am down to 195, I wear a size 33 pant, medium shirts and I can even wear the tapered "slim fit" variety for the first time ever. I was cycling a lot over the summer and into the fall. I kept up doing push ups, squats, and pull ups but I wasn't killing it. I was however climbing like a billy goat on the bike and my average speeds were getting close 18mph on 50+ mile rides. You lose a lot of strength doing an endurance sport like that for sure. My wife was starting to say my arms were looking small. They did shrink about a half inch but some of it was fat. I think they look more defined but I do feel weaker for sure. Although last night she said they looked muscular so go figure. What are my goals now? Well I still want to lean out some more. I still have fat and lose skin around the middle. I know you can't spot reduce so I will have to keep at it. I have been doing the 80-20 paleo kind of thing for a couple months now. I need to get to being a little more hardcore, especially now that I am not riding. I do want to get to 190. I am currently working on a 6 week 100 push up challenge and the 20 pull up challenge. I am on week 3 on push ups and week 1 on pull up. These are the only goals I have right now. I look forward to hitting it hard again as with this log I will now have to be accountable to the rebellion. Huzzah!
  9. Nice work! I was there just last January. I can do 100 in 3 sets now pretty easily so it comes fast once you get going on it. Keep going!
  10. I've attempted one a couple times during my last couple workouts. No luck. I guess I am no kicking up hard enough maybe. I have been practicing crow stand and head stand for awhile. Frustrating.
  11. Awesome! Congrats to you too then! Yes 190 here we come!
  12. Thanks! Now I am shooting for 190. I think that might be it after that. I will have to see how I feel and look at that point.
  13. My big Woot moment of the day is that I weighed 197.8 on the scale today! I finally dipped below 200 lbs for the first time since I was in my early 20's. I have hit my 2012 goal of being 200 by the end of the year from my starting point of 270 on January 4th when I joined NF. Thank you to everyone for the encouragement along the way. I am talking to you Waldo, Kenobi, ETF Nerd, and Steve Kamp. Small side woot I set a PR and did 5 full pull ups today!
  14. As some have mentioned when you get enough fats and protein you may find yourself not needing to snack. The only time I find myself wanting to snack, is when I haven't eaten enough which is right now. I am starving.
  15. Last time I was on the road I did this per his recommendation. It was pretty awesome. I got the burrito bowl but mine was just veggies and meat. It was most excellent.
  16. Congrats! It's awesome the first time you do that. Pretty soon you will be banging out push ups no problem.
  17. Excellent work dude. Congrats.
