  1. Good Morning NerdFitness Community! First of all I want to thank you all for this great site as well as this nice and comforting community. You really are great! But to get straight to the point: I need your help! Specifically I need the help of all the german rebels here, because I live in Germany and I keep getting in situations that make it hard for me to follow the paleo diet. I started eating (mostly) paleo in January / February 2012 and kept it up for about 2 months. In this time I lost about 30lbs / 15kg, which was great. But due to certain elements in my life I lost track and have been eating "normal" those past months. But the big problem I keep getting into is grocery shopping. I basically know what I can and can't eat but since I am a terrible cook I keep buying stuff but I don't know what to do with it. Also I keep reading about foods that are just not available to me, like sweet potatoes or beef jerky. If they are available in Germany than I have yet to see them anywhere. What I would like to have would be some kind of shopping list for the normal grocery shops in germany. These would be Aldi, Lidl, Norma, Edeka and Rewe. These 5 shops are available to me, though I would prefer to buy at Aldi since I don't have that much money available and shopping at the bigger stores never ends good for my wallet... So there you have it. Maybe there are some seasoned rebels from Germany here who can help me get back on track because I start gaining weight again, due to my frustration with shopping / cooking. I am grateful for all and any advice you can give me. Best regards Gibdos
  2. Dear Paleos, my GF and I started with the paleo diet 2 days ago. But shopping has been the greatest problem of all. Sugar seems to be in almost everything... Maybe I don't quite understand the paleo diet 100% but as far as I get it, sugar is a no-go. But does this only mean table sugar? Or any and all sugar whatsoever? I'd greatly appreciate any clarification you can give my about this, because we don't want to buy the wrong products and end up screwing all the work we do. I am really starting to over-think this and make myself crazy...
  3. Good Evening (Or morning, depending on your time zone :-) ), today I went through my first day of 100% paleo diet. So this was my first day: Lunch 1x Paprika filled with ground-beef and veggies in tomato sauce Snack Left-over ground-beef with veggies in iceberg lettuce Dinner Scrambled eggs (4 eggs) with 2 strips of bacon Now as I stated above I am only starting out with the paleo diet but I am quite sure this could be considered 100% paleo. If I should be wrong please feel free to comment. Regarding hunger, I only felt a strong sense about 1-2 hours after Lunch. I really need to find some kind of easy and fast available snack next time. I am also unsure if these are enough calories for my daily needs, but since I am satiated I would guess it should be. My daily calorie needs are supposed to be around 1.900 if I want to loose weight, which is my goal. I also did the Beginner Body Weight Routine after lunch. Now I don't yet know if I waited long enough before doing the routine. It must have been about 1/2 hour after lunch. But at least I could do more then last time. Anyway, I would appreciate any form of constructive critique and ideas for a snack that you can throw at me. Thank you very much ;-)
