  1. This sauna post-gym sounds so relaxing and like a great space for meditation. Great job on going to the gym so often! Also, thank you for taking the time to vote. :-) I hope your day will end on a beautiful note.
  2. Love your goals. I will be following and cheering you on. (I should definitely do like you and avoid intoxicating potions... mmmh)
  3. That's exactly why I lift. I'm just doing my thing and they can lurk if they want, as long as they don't talk to me. It's difficult to tell if they're being inappropriate, judgemental or just have nothing else to look at while they wait for a new set? I really don't know, haha. But thank you, that's very nice of you. ; Although drinking is not allowed at Hogwarts, I have found myself in yet another weekend of indulging in booze to the point of waking up hangover. Ugh. When my co-workers go out I just can't say no. Oh, what, a shot of Jameson? SURE. No. Anyway. I was supposed to go do some yoga with my friend before our concert on Sunday, but she was feeling extremely sick so we rested and watched Harry Potter instead. When she felt better, we got brunch. I missed my practice, though, but my friend needed me. Since she was at my place, I got no writing done which is sad. I'm really slacking in that department and my Muggle Studies but I will power through it in the upcoming days. As well as with my yoga practice. I have mentally prepared the mornings where I will freestyle on my mat. Hyrulian Yogi's Report Card: Defense Against the Dark Arts: Nobody should ever dress so poorly to one of my classes. -10 points for House Hufflepuff. After work yesterday, I got to the gym since I knew I wouldn't have time today since I'm pulling a triple threat job day. The gym was packed, full of dudes again, but also a group of rad powerlifters that were just doing their thing in one corner of the gym. They seemed to be very cheery. There was also this badass girl doing squats followed by jumping lunges, that seemed like an insane superset to me. What a champ. I also did some lunges, which always gets my quads burning like the breath of a Norwegian Ridgeback. The concert was such a beautiful blast, I was still walking on a cloud and couldn't take off the shirt I was wearing in the moshpit. I sweated some more in that same gross outfit and it was lovely but Professor Lockhart wasn't a fan. I got rushed in my squats because another guy needed the machine so my 5 x 95lbs had very weak form. History of Magic: A simple reminder to all my students that 40 000 words are awaited at the end of the month. I will be extremely happy with myself if I even get to 20 000 words. I really want to pour my heart into creation again. It gets me closer to who I'm supposed to be. Have a beautiful Tuesday my Druids!
  4. Prayers are sent for you and your Mom. In the meantime: How cute would a baby rexy in pastel dresses look!!!!!!!!
  5. Gah, sickness! Don't let the flu zombie discourage you. Rest well and you will be back on track very soon. Your body needs all the healing it can get.
  6. This is just a shift of schedule, you got this. You already did great with all the changes. That morning yoga must have felt great! Especially after all those push-ups! I hope week 2 is going well for you.
  7. I'm Canadian but I'm with all of you. Please go vote today!
  8. That story could very well be in a movie. Wow, that must have been so stressful!
  9. I hope you get all the rest! This change of season is rough, the cold weather is also getting to my energy levels. Have a beautiful day!
  10. So sorry to hear about all the challenges and difficulties. I will follow along your battle log. *hugs*
  11. Thank you very much. I love your good vibes.
  12. I love everything in this thread, haha. As a former emo kid, it makes me happy.
  13. For those mornings when you are 100% Harry Potter. ; Hyrulian Yogi's Report Card: Defense Against the Dark Arts: It's been reported that during the class, Professor Lockhart was too busy brushing his luscious blonde hair to notice any work his students have had done. Squats got to 5 x 95lbs, with a little help from the lower back which is a no-no, but the improvement is starting to show. While the Leg Press is now at 10 x 110lbs, it won't be sufficient in case of a duel against a dangerous creature. Very happy about my lifts yesterday. It was raining and I still dragged my butt to the gym. It was pretty full, 95% men and I decided to not care and do my lifts and focus on myself rather than feel self-conscious. I'm getting used to the stares I get at the gym, sometimes it gets to me and makes me wonder if my form isn't good... but in the end, I just put that barbell on my back and get.it.done. History of Magic: 703 words have been written towards the assignment on the Great Troll War. Edit: Another 851 words have been added. Slowly but surely. It's been so long since I've written anything. I guess that I'll just keep on forcing myself to put words on a blank page until my flow comes back. Happy Fri-yay everyone! I don't know for you, but I have an insanely busy weekend coming up.
  14. I can understand how difficult it is to hold something and have nobody showed up. It happened to me once that I had 0 students and just waited in the gym's group class room, waited, waited, waited, did some stretching until I came to the realization that nobody would be here. It sucks, but the fact that you care shows that it is your passion. I'm sure that once the time is right, you will be able to lift that practice up again.
  15. I personally wouldn't find it weird if someone told me they dreamt about me but I'm also a very strange person I guess?
  16. Eek, my weakness. We had a pumpkin filled with candy at the restaurant and... we all had quite a lot of chocolate. I've never been a worst hostess in my entire life. The sugar high was in-ten-se. That is beautiful. It really resonated with me. Thank you.
  17. Thank you so much! It means a lot. ; Transfiguration Hyrulian Yogi's report card: It appears that Hyrulian was seen practicing the transition from Tree to Dancer in the Great Hall today, although the sentiment was here, it should be noted that students aren't allowed to practice Transfiguration around the food table. -10 points to Hufflepuff. Took my yoga mat to the studio at the office and managed to get a ''freestyle flow'' before lunch. When the studio is empty, I take advantage and hide in the dark with my iphone and do my practice. No headstand though, I think it'd be harder to explain to a co-worker if they walked in on me. Muggle Studies Although pizza is delicious, eating the leftovers for breakfast does not count as meal prepping. History of Magic Professor Binns would like to point out to Miss Yogi that the assignment for this semester is 40 000 words written and not 40 pages. If she would like to wash her ears and listen properly in class, she might have understood the requirements. An additional parchment on the Great Troll War is expected for the next class. Although I'm pulling a double-shift today, again, I'm aiming to get about 1000 words for my possible novel. Very exciting.
  18. Oh my, that would definitely ask me a lot of self-control and patience. Country music gets on my nerves for some mystic reason. I hope you get all the rest you need, have a wonderful day!
  19. That scarf is EVERYTHING. It will look so pretty! Well PastYou did a great job, that's a beautiful message and a reminder that we all need. Thank you.
  20. I'm so glad that the Hogwarts term is inspiring you! You look gorgeous on this picture. I'm sure the dress you are knitting will look lovely. Have a beautiful day as well.
  21. I'm so happy that you are enjoying the Hogwarts theme, please feel free to use the same! I share my love of Harry Potter with the whole world, haha. Oh Disney, they did no wrong with Ratatouille! Thank you so so much! I'm hoping to keep this momentum going.
  22. A book and a hot bath will not only soothe the soul but also help with aching muscles. I hope that will help you feel better soon. Good job on the yoga, by the way.
  23. Here ya go! That makes me feel better. And as I'll try not to drink this week, it will allow for more drinks for everybody else. ; Defense Against the Dark Arts Hyrulian Yogi's report card: It is reported by, I, Gilderoy Lockhart, that during today's class Hyrulian seemed tired and restless. But she still managed to capture a Doxy or two, I was too busy starting at my dashing smile to notice the exact number. According to her, she managed to bring her Romanian Deadlift to 12 x 75lbs, whatever that may mean. Yay. lifting sessions are at 1/8 for the challenge. I followed the Barbell Beach Body routine that I saw on some fitness magazine somewhere. It was good, got my heart rate up which is never a bad thing. Tomorrow NaNoWriMo starts, woohoo!I hope your challenges have all started on the right foot.
  24. I need this in my life as someone who has to run super heavy plates at work and ends up with painful wrists by the end of my shift. Yoga has helped for sure but this will definitely be an added benefit! Your challenge seems to be off to a great start.
  25. Absolutely! I can't do all the asanas and still am working on my back bends a lot. Oh no, look who's here! This weekend was, erm, interesting to say the least... Let's just say I drank more and slept less than I should have. I'm beat. I will most definitely focus on resting this week and getting in my yoga/lifting sessions. But sleep, lots of sleep. Today on the agenda: Defense Against The Dark Arts Professor Gilderoy Lockhart will demonstrate how to capture a Doxy by the power of the Leg Press.
