  1. Lots of hip openers, that's amazing. If I remember you don't want to follow a flow that uses the wall right?
  2. I'm still in awe at those sunsets. Absolutely unreal.
  3. That is actually so fascinating. I tried IF back when I lived in Toronto and was enjoying it tremendously, but I had a bit more time to meal prep back then.
  4. Thank you very much, it feels so good to hear this. I also personally wouldn't go to a 7am class unless it's the summer, it feels much easier when there's sunlight and it's warm in the morning. At first, the manager stopped me to ask me if I could teach at 6:30pm instead and I said yeah. So it was pretty much set in stone that I'd pass my approbation, but now she said she wants to ask the students if they're not going to the class because of the time or if they just don't like my style of teaching. It's a little nerve-wrecking but deep down I know that everything happens for a reason. Whatever happens, it will be for the best.
  5. That cake looks to die for, I'm gonna need a second to find focus on again, haha. Wishing you a great week 4!
  6. You are so right, it can't be perfect all the time. I still think you did really good. :-) I think it would definitely help you with your energy levels to go to the gym on days where you eat more. Your muscles will thank you.
  7. Making the mind go completely quiet is... nearly impossible. It happened to me once in my life, at the ashram, and that was the most beautiful moment ever. But it's rare, very very rare. Most of the time, we can bring the mind to focus on objects surrounding us or observe the mind rather than stress about the past or the future, and that's already more than good enough. I'm impressed by all that yoga and all that running you've been doing. That's really impressive! And perfect form on push-ups definitely burns. It's quite an experience how much of a difference it makes versus the improper form.
  8. Yeah. I'm not ready for a back tattoo anytime soon. Ankles and arms are my favorite placements at the moment. Week 3 Overview YOGA - Bend, don't break. (3x a week) 1/3 Only ended up doing the one session before I got tattooed. My leg has been sensitive so I was careful. WEIGHTS - Stronger than ever. (2x a week) 0/2 Didn't hit the gym, mostly for sanitary reason and to not risk infection. BODY/MIND - Heal. (2.5L of water/day) 3/7 Same as always, went out every night of the weekend, ending up two or three cups of water short. SOUL - You are what you think. (Positive Affirmations daily) 4/7 Didn't write affirmations at all this weekend. I've been very lazy. Week 4 YOGA - Bend, don't break. (3x a week) 0/3 I teached my class this morning and there was only 2 people again. I think the fact that it's a 7am class on a Monday influences the number of people showing up, but the gym wants to investigate and see if it's the schedule or my teachings. Might be losing my yoga class... I'm trying to not let it stress me out but it is. I'm gonna need a nice long yoga session after work when I get home. WEIGHTS - Stronger than ever. (2x a week) 0/2 I'll go tomorrow for some squats and leg presses. My faves. BODY/MIND - Heal. (2.5L of water/day) 0/7 Going pretty well right now for the water. Hopefully I'll hit my numbers. SOUL - You are what you think. (Positive Affirmations daily) 0/7 Only had time to draw a tarot card this morning, I will finish the affirmations after work, as well.
  9. I was indecisive for the placement and the artist didn't tell me anything so it wouldn't interfere with my decision... but yeah... apparently the back of the thigh is one of the most painful places of all. I have 6 tattoos and even the ankle felt like a breeze compared to that. I heard that doing a big back piece is extremely painful in the moment but that it heals fast. At least that's good news, haha.
  10. I will definitely show you pictures once it's finished on November 19th, with the shading and all. I can't wait to see the final result (although I'm not looking forward to the pain )
  11. Good form on that Crow Pose and you held it really well. Enjoy the rest from the running. It would have made me angry and sad to see those teenagers attack the snake... it's not okay at all. Gah. I wish everyone could be more aware.
  12. Very true, grapes are all kinds of healthy! Thank you, It's always nice to hear. I'm really looking forward to my next session, I'm a little nervous as to when that will be as I don't want to interfere with the healing of the tattoo. Can't wait to be all healed up completely in two months after the last session and not have to worry about any of this, haha.
  13. I'll be crying for sure. My shoulders is always and forever an issue for me, haha.
  14. Thank you, I love this new piece of information about wine. I wish I had a picture of the actual line-work that was done yesterday but the artist hasn't posted it on social media and because of the placement I can't take a good picture for the life of me haha. Here's the drawing:
  15. Muscle does weigh more than fat, so you most probably gained because of this. Don't lose focus, the fitness journey never really ends but it's s worth it. That standing pose will definitely be a challenge, but I'm looking forward to trying it! Thank you for all the info.
  16. It's an art nouveau deck that I got last year, I am so in love with it! I also love to play around with my Mom's whenever I visit her, she has a very old one that was imported from France. Week 3 YOGA - Bend, don't break. (3x a week) 1/3 I ended up doing the yoga stretch video, it was lovely. And then all this tension release was doomed because of my tattoo session. 4 hours of line work. SO.MUCH.DETAILS. Plus I ended up placing it on the back of my thigh instead of the bicep... the artist didn't want to influence my decision and therefore didn't tell me how painful that spot is. Not gonna lie, I had moments where I wanted to yell and/or vanish in the distance and never come back. It was so painful and I have to go for a second session... gah... GAH. But it looks awesome. Anyway. Yeah. I did yoga but during 4 hours I was extremely tense so there's knots everywhere in my body, haha. WEIGHTS - Stronger than ever. (2x a week) 0/2 I guess I'll have to do a back session or upper body since my legs are out of order. Maybe some quads work... BODY/MIND - Heal. (2.5L of water/day) 1/7 Friend went over to my place with a bottle of wine. Instead of having my last litre of water, I had red wine... Poor plant. SOUL - You are what you think. (Positive Affirmations daily) 2/7 Haven't had time to do these yet as I had a client right when I got to work. I've been working on a project with him since then. Hopefully tonight after my shift at the restaurant.
  17. That sounds amazing. Our bodies are so used to be constricted and unaligned that holding Mountain with a perfect posture must be quite the challenge! I should really try it soon.
  18. Haha not complicated at all! I understand it because I could say that I'm mostly vegan, but the occasional time that I eat eggs or ice cream, I don't want to be attacked by the ''vegan police''. I've also only been buying products that haven't been tested on animals since I'm 15, as well but I can't bring myself to a label. I find them constricting.
  19. *just* 10 postures for 4 mins each? You absolutely deserve the compliment. Holding a pose for 4 mins is not a joke, it's an intense stretch.
  20. Sugar is everywhere and especially with working at Starbucks, it's difficult to escape it. It's already great that you've noticed the pattern and that you're ready to make the changes. You got this!
  21. Omg pad thai zoodles sounds sooooooooo good. I hope week 3 is treating you well.
  22. Thank you for the positive vibes as always! Plus, I drank all my water and the mushroom is happy again so... phew. Poor little mushroom, he went through a lot. Week 3 YOGA - Bend, don't break. (3x a week) 0/3 I was still extremely extremely (can barely walk) sore from my Sunday session, so I skipped yoga and stayed at work for a bit longer instead. I drank some BCAA's when I got home and soreness vanished this morning. I'm thinking of getting this routine in before I hit the tattoo salon. WEIGHTS - Stronger than ever. (2x a week) 0/2 Maybe I will go tomorrow for some leg press, hack squat and other machines that don't require arm strength. BODY/MIND - Heal. (2.5L of water/day) 1/7 Yay my plant survived and I got all my water intake in! I'm aiming to get my 90oz today as well. Let's do this, no more sad plants. SOUL - You are what you think. (Positive Affirmations daily) 2/7 Such a beautiful way to start the day. Have a great Wednesday my Druids!
  23. Pizza video is working! I really want pizza... gah. My life. Are you a fellow vegetarian? Because that's awesome. Felix is THE CUTEST name for a cat. Outside of maybe Mr. Cat. Good job on the miles and the morning yoga!
