  1. So I'm making small changes and trying to stick to them. Yesterday and today I managed to go for a walk but didn't stick to the diet change which was lowering my sugar intake. Fizzy drinks seem to be my down fall. After getting my second email I've decided to be a scout and work on stamina and endurance!
  2. I think running was the pain thing. I do a lot of kids volunteering but just don't have the energy or stamina that some of the other leaders do when running around, so is like to improve my stamina and running I guess. Also I've just realised I got my units mixed up in my original post I'm not 170kg, 170lbs is more like it haha
  3. Body image is a big issue for me as well. After high school I put on weight but not many other people in my class did. I often compare myself to them and the size i used to be when I was 4 years younger. It's been a big motivator for me joining Nerd Fitness
  4. So I'm new to this, stick with me. I've heard a lot of people talk about eating before and after a work out/ exercise, some say have lots of carbs before a work out others say fasting cardio is better, what do you guys think? Sorry if this is a little off topic didn't know where to post
  5. Okay so here we go! I've decided to make a lifestyle change and this time I'll stick to it! Basically, I've been trying to lose weight and get healthy for 4 years and never found anything that I've stuck to i.e. calorie counting, high intensity work outs, working out while doing other things, cutting out sugar, changing my attitude etc. At the moment I'm 20 years old, 5 foot 8 inches and weigh 170 kg (375lbs!!!) It's shocking I know. I don't have any crazy goals like loosing 3 stone in a month or anything(I'm not Buffy or Wonder Women) but what I do want is to be fitter and healthier next month than this month. So Paleo diet bring it on! Running and cardio, lets do it! Strength training, I might as well take you on as well! A big problem I have however is staying focused, motivated and on track. Hopefully being part of this community will help with that, so if you don't mind any feedback would be appreciated.
