  1. Progress Report - Sept 15 anyone else sore? I'd almost forgotten going to sleep in 2 hours so I can wake up early and head into the gym. Seems like a much calmer place at 4:00 in the morning. Calories on track. Thanks for the encouragement, guys! It's great to have a group of people you can identify with behind you.

  4. Oh man, giving your fiance' parental controls over your stuff! That's harsh! Don't get them angry or you'll be reading the backs of shampoo bottles. Also, one of our most famous earthbound aliens, Mork from Ork, adopted Boulder, Colorado as his home. So, there may be some faint smatterings of nerdiness that still remain from the 70s.
  5. Hi Ellis! Already the next day, when someone offers me a sandwich, I think "what's the harm? I'm a super healthy person - one sandwich isn't going to change that" ==> After eating the sandwich, I regret it and decide to give up the whole attempt, since I've obviously already failed. Guilty. I'd love to know more about how you're tracking your food!
  6. Hi Trawlerman; yes, thanks for asking! I've used a suggested method from Burn The Fat, Feed The Muscle for calculating calories. I suppose technically it should be 1913 a day, but this is my first challenge, so 2000 will be close enough for this go around. Now I just have to do it
  7. Just bought my frame to post my quest and goals in. Very excited about all this! Oh, and I'm glad to see all the tech info. Took me forever just to figure out how to post a link with a different title.
  8. I woke up this morning thinking, "Ooo, what if I made a character sheet of the new persona I want to be" Now, here I am posting on the NF Rebel forums What a crazy day. I'm extremely pleased to not only see so many faces here, but to see this has been around quite some time. Seems like perfect timing with this new challenge just about to start and all. Game on! My main goal is to reform my personality, to shake off my fear of photographs and mirrors, or instagram and twitter. To be as bright and shining a face on the outside as I feel on the inside. To buy suits and look sharp. To be out in public and turn off my sensors and just enjoy myself and laugh. Each day, each challenge, each level and attribute point, each of you, will help me realize my dream. Thank you for being here. Main Quest Lose 40 lbs by Dec 31 (256lbs - 215 lbs) Specific Quests Over the next 42 days (fromt Sept 14 - Oct 25) I will: 1. Lose 16 lbs (BF 30.1% - appx. 28%) 2. Lift weights at least 3x a week, at least 30 minutes a session, planning in advance what each session will be 3. Eat a 2000 calories diet every day during the challenge Side Quest To forgive myself if I have a lapse during this time, and to immediately get back on schedule
