  1. This thread has been silent for a while, but I am evangelical about my yeast infection cure. I had an infection for seriously like three months and the gyno was done with me. Then I stopped eating straight white sugar. I used to put it in cereal and in my tea and once I stopped that, my yeast infection went away FOREVER.
  2. You've gotten a lot of responses, but I'd like to say that the way to make long term, sustainable changes is by making a few small changes at a time. Your description completely overwhelmed me and I was just reading it! (I don't have a toddler either Pick one thing. Do it. When you've made it a habit, add another.
  3. I haven't been commenting but I've been reading since this summer and I'm seconding turboseize. @Adrianne I am invested in your saga!
  4. I'm working through a not-at-all pseudo sugar addiction and my advice would be to cut processed sugar out entirely and try to limit how much fruit you eat. You should aim for at least a month to begin with, then maybe consider cutting back on fruit and carbs which, as a friend constantly reminds me, is just a different form of sugar. The general advice at Nerd Fitness is that you can exercise in a lot of different ways, but if you're going to do strength training, then it's better to use free weights and body weight, like Raincloak suggests. When I was starting to poke around here, it took me AGES to find this post: and this forum: https://rebellion.nerdfitness.com/index.php?/forum/286-teach-me-about-the-guilds/ Once I was here, I got a chance to think about what kind of "fit" I wanted to be and how I wanted to go about getting there. I realized that when I finished, I wanted to be stronger, more flexible, and able to do cool stuff with my body. So I'm doing body weight exercises, yoga, and occasional dance classes. The exercise DOES make me feel good, but besides that, I'm doing it to reach a goal.
  5. I haven't used it for a while, but Stay Focused worked really well as a Chrome extension.
  6. Super psyched! Sent from my SM-S820L using Tapatalk
  7. Also, the idea of taking pictures as a way to log food is super appealing. I'm not into counting calories, but this looks like Instagram! Just downloaded the app Sent from my SM-S820L using Tapatalk
  8. That's awesome! Especially your OOTD photos. Following for fashion! Sent from my SM-S820L using Tapatalk
  9. This is the best gif. I am ALSO working on the elusive handstand. Good luck!! Sent from my SM-S820L using Tapatalk
  10. I've never been to any of these places and do not care, but would prefer to stay ITP as Sandy Springs or something like that would be quite a haul for me. MY favorite nerd game is BANANAGRAMS. With "normal" people, it is a hard sell. I've never tried it with a group of nerds (boyfriend plays, but that might be because he loves me, not the game).
  11. I'm so in! Thanks for taking the initiative on this - I'm excited to meet everyone.
  12. Those are great ideas! I'm not vegetarian, but frequently follow a vegetarian type diet. Two questions: any ideas that incorporate beans? And what kind of reading have you been doing?
  13. So this summer I am working at a swimming pool as not-a-lifeguard. There's a lot of down time. To complicate matters, my shift is from 12:00-8:00 pm which is two meals for my stomach but only one meal break. I can snack. And I do. I usually have a snack at 2:00, when I can't stand myself and bring a meal that I try to eat around 4:00/4:30. My parents typically have food waiting for me when I get home at 8:30. I'm kind of afraid of counting calories- I think that would be bad for my mental health. But based on my (lack of) weight loss, I suspect that my "snacks"contain enough calories for a full meal. I have been bringing almonds and they don't fill me up well unless I eat massive quantities. My ultimate goal is to lose weight. I'm looking for snacks that are low calorie and very filling to help me do this. With my meal, I typically eat 4 whole carrots and those mini swet peppers to fill my stomach. Should I move those veggies to the snack slot? Should I bring MORE vegetables? Like what? Thanks for the advice in advance!
  14. Hey, so, um.....end of the month, yes?
